slim,
I did some scouting out BC earlier.
Got a awful cold and pink eye, so not much fun to hunt right now. Maybe tomorrow when it's in the 40's
have you been out
Ok, back to MLK,
Again, I have crossed it off my list.
Concordia is also OLD RONDO. A rondo is a piece of music with repeats, is it not.
The sign actually says OLD RONDO.
I liked it last year for go the old way once again since 94 is covering RONDO now.
once, big huntin tonite. i am ready for this weekend too...
wabbit, you're thinking of a round.
Wabbit I didn't follow your old rondo stuff, clarify please.
I THINK PHALEN ANYBODY ELSE?
Thanks, Annie
We'll work something out. I have 100's of blank CDs.
There was an A B and C street up there which I thought was the trio of letters that year. (It was 3M)
me too !
I walked those steps today...ICY !
mine - you have to explain why phalen before I would be with you.
TREASURE GIRL, SORRY I WAS HOPING FOR A MORE EROTIC TALE. AGAIN SORRY
benjamin mays school - Say Hey
In and on the air - tower to the north.
Rondo - Echo
Ball fields - Play Fair.
Playground equipement galore
Day Care Program
Hills to the North
HEAVY CONSTRUCTION. I dont think it is there.
I was alluding to other years clues in some of my other posts. There are several.
Ya know kids, TIDE doesn't have to mean "water", it could mean a period of time..look it up in a dictionary.
Baygut- Longfello field is in between 36th St.and 35th, next to Minnehaha. I don't see a school at all, but there is aprk listed on my map.
danielle, that's minneapolis.
I want the new clue! I couldn't nap...must find medallion.
Ian, did I mention I'd like to go a huntin but got no car? I wonder if they allow shovels on buses...it would look kind of hilarious and they would take it as a weapon I am sure...Could get you the CD sooner than later...Either way we'll for sure get together to copy it.
But, in the end, I liked MLK yesterday because of the allusion in the beginning to America and Patriotism. That is the carnival theme.
wabbit
Thanks for the clarification.
Tide could still mean what it is in. My dad suggested the little small box you could get from a vending machine. Then it could be wrapped in a knit item,
sort of like the earmuffs one year.
Does anyone else think it is odd that they used the phrase "park n rec" and why there is a "N" instead of using "and"
I hope someone posts the clue at 11 like they have been! and whats the number to see if its found ?
So who all said they were goin to PP tonight? I think I might head out there!
Oh and another thought on MLK, A Dale is a valley or hill of sorts is it not. MLK is on DALE on one side.
Enough about there.
Anybody been someplace else that nobody is talking about?
I am going annie M. so is guide, jake, and tmk
reg - I think that is the way to short the clue. They have all been quite wordy compared to past years.
ill be there annie!
Purely an anagram, anyone willing to help. Take your hunters guide and look for streets. Than see if any words or phrases in the clue are scrambled versions of the street names. I think we may get ourselves farther than we thought.
Yea Yea
Jokysu - I was also thinking of a litte Tide detergent box from a laudromat. But I picture it hidden inside of a knit hat.
reg, dalliance and i also noticed that. using the word and instead of n would have made no difference in the meter of the verse. so that's an as yet unresolved question.
Anybody been up to Valley this year? I always thought that was weird, a Valley on the top of a steep hill.
I'd go out and look now, but I wouldn't know where to start. I hit Phalen, Linwood (twice), Orchard, Jimmy Lee, Battle Creek, and Como (yesterday)...nothing
reg- have been doing just that for a while now, to no avail
AnnieM, what is orchard like? I have never been there.
I remember at Cherokee, they used "cape and whip" as an anagram for chippewa, a road by cherokee.
Maybe you can see a N from the correct park ? who knows.
I am not very good at this stuff. Why do I have to be such an addict for the hunt.
Annie B:
I work for Metro Transit...I can get you weapon clearance.
J/K
What time can you get the paper at?
ian i used to work at metrotransit...info center. you?
I haven't used the anagram except for 5 min. It wouldnt detect odd street names.
It's really small...they have the tennis courts on the west end, the paking lot and rec center and then the "tot lot" and then a small hill and two ball fields, glazed with ice. A few trees around it...I don't think it's there. It's on Orchard and Milton, near Gabes by the Park (bar) and Como Ave.
Ian, LOL - would look rather funny tho, wouldn't it? Someone suggested I go to an army/navy store to get one that folds up. Any ideas where I could get one?
central counting...for a heck of a lotta years.
got to go put the little guy to bed. Maybe I will still be up at 11 coughing due to this nasty cold. If so, I will see you then.
have a great evening all.
I will do some street name - anagram noodling off line.
PHALEN REC DOWN THE HILL FROM THE WOODS (FOREST ST.) 6 BALL FIELDS BASKETBALL COURTS TIDE COULD BE E SHORE DR.TONS OF OPEN SPACE PLAYGROUND KSTP TOWERS IN SIGHT ALSO A SPEAKER ON A POLE
Paper's @ 11 downtown
On my way home from BC I saw the Red Lion hotel...HMMMMM
annie - that just made me think of
The things that make you go hmmmmm :)
I must be too tired for all of this.
I'm rackin my brain on this! It hurts to be analytical... ha ha ha
ha ha ha Jokysu HMMM
I went to Phalen Rec last year. They have paths, and a hockey rink. There was something odd written on the hockey rink last year.
This was the place where Sherwood crosses Forest. Forest is a woods reference.
What was that other street a few down that people were talking about last year?
I should get a map or buy that book. I have a handicap.
Thanks Annie. I am a first timer on here. Are alot of people going down there?
ivy?
phalen rec is completely under construction. the ballfields there look to be open though.
Down where? PP? Or BC?
At Phalen today the gates to the playgrounds were closed. HMMMMMMM
am hoping tonights clue will narrow it down for us. ALOT.
since phalen rec is under construction, does that mean its a wreck????
Sister Sister, I was thinking about that.
I looked up wreck today too...it could mean "a run-down person"
Every idea I have includes a place under construction!!!!!!!
as in a wrecked rec?
why are they doing construction in the middle of the winter anyway?
so whats the word, how many parks do we got getting kicked around now,
I see phalen, Merriam park, what else is out there so far folks
I promise I will write that anagram URL this time, Tim . Can you tell me what it is again?
I like the wrecked rec!
just had one last thought as I walked away from the key board.
Sound out Phalen and you get the sound of your lone 'n'
who knows.
see ya all
Buuurrr my feet are cold just thinkin about goin back out here!
www.wordsmith.org/anagram/
PP sorry
Wreck could mean construction, but I have always felt that the PP would try to keep people away from those types of places. Even polite digging reaks havic on a place.
Can you imagine what Conway looked like in the spring?
ok well I'm gonna look over the clues, get a bite to eat and think about heading out a bit...I need a good flash light! I hope to see some of you at the PP or out searchin! Take care and have a great night! -Annie M
Anybody been considering Langford?
I have a soccer ball from 1999 that I picked up.
STILL NEED HELP TO KEEP UP WITH MESSAGES. WHAT DO I DO AT THE END OF EACH PAGE TO GO ONTO NEXT MESSAGE???
hi wher are we lookin
Langford looked good last night, but not now. I don't think there's a parking lot there anywhere.
digger, click on the message with the highest number....
Your right, there is no parking lot that I recall at Langford.
got a question for you guys ---- does this park we're looking for have to have a parking lot
I was thinking we need a parking lot right.
THERE'S MAJOR RECONSTRUCTION GOING ON AT PHALEN. I WAS THINKING MAYBE KELLER. NOT ONE OF YOU HAS MENTIONED IT. ANY COMMENTS?
EITHER REFRESH OR HIT MORE
I need to go. I might see you guys at 11. Bye
maybe it is a mound of the dead and they took it hhehehehe
thanks
or maybe the bum took it
Keller is in Mplwd.
Keller, Hmm, I know nothing about Keller. What do you know about it?
KELLER TIME TO KILL KELL?? BUT ITS IN MAPLEWOOD
yeah right it has to be like snelling or a street meaning battle ya know
you huys go look ther is about a million parking lots and stuff that the clues can match
Well my thoughts are still on BC. I drove out there earlier and so far I can make sense of the clues. Going to go digging later after the next clue.
I have no great ideas.
Hey Hey has three letters that repeat. Ok OK has two letters that repeat.
I was sort of looking for double letters around. Carroll? But, not really.
OK is oklahoma. Somebody must have mentioned that. Wasn't that at the Ordway last year?
me 2
KELLER IS ON ARCADE ST HWY 61 IT HAS AN OLD FIRE CIRCLE THAT USED TO BE USED FOR POW WOWS
I think BC and Phalen are the favorites right now.
What's the deal with Merriam though? don't know much about that one.
Evenin', 'Heads!!!!
Love ya, Mom!!! (((M)))
Was out at BC... From what *I* could see, Mac, too - there ain't nutting in the air that you can see down by the picnic. And the cops are keeping folks from digging at the opposite end, where the ballfields are.
And, if you *were* to find something in the air down by the picnic pavillion, then the tot territory izz outta site. And... the clue states to look for this. Usually when this is said, whatever they're referring to can be seem from the spot where The Med's hid.
Also, noodle this: All St. Paul rec centers are considered 'parks,' whether or not they're really named such. But all St. Paul parks are not rec centers...
Could still be Como, Mac. I've not given up on Como yet...
And Conway izz looking pretty good with library.
I don't know...
WELCOME ALL NEWBIES!!!! I can't remember all your names, but ittiz so nice to see you all here and noodling! So glad all you lurkers decided to quit lurking and GET IN HERE!!!
WHERE'S MY NINJA DOG, SHAGGY????? Boy, you better be down at MomPress tonite!!! You are sending me to the floor in tears o'laughter!!!!
but like i said you can match things up to a lot of places and well ya know there are a million other places we could check ill wait till the next clue if ya ask me
Merriam is ok, I can't rule it out, but I just didn't like it. I dropped by at about 10 this morning on my way back to the office.
Hills, Ballfield, boring, just boring.
IF YOU PUT HEY AND OK TOGETHER YOU GET HOKEY HOCKEY????
evenin green!
Nash Chick, what places do you think should be discussed? I am looking for new ideas on new places.
just noodling
tide and time backwards is edit and emit, diet mite, tied item???
how's the cheek?
what hockey so wait for the nexy clue ok we could think of a million
Has anyone any idea of 'space' could mean a museum or something air/space museum or something where you could take a little kid?
still liking mcmurray field, green? (and no i'm not gonna be down at the press tonite. i'm thinking about tomorrow nite though)
did you see robin williams suit last night eeeewwww
Green...don't call us Newbies!! I will be out at PP tonite! I am gettin serious. this stuff is addicting!!
I THOUGHT IT WAS FOUNF AT KELLER IN THE FIRE PIT SEVERAL YRS AGO. BUT I COULD BE WRONG
newbies ya right
well i dunno like a keeps saying it could be anywhere so ait 4 the next clue
slim, nash, you're not newbies in the sense of the hunt. you're newbies in the sense of the cooler. and you're very much welcome here.
ok ok i get it
I like you Ares. God of War.
anybody been to Northwest Como Rec or whatever it is?
bloodthirsty god of war, slim.
God of Hunt is me hehehe
mmmm...could be good...could be bad!
All I know is tonite's clue better be good. Cause by sunday it sounds like there will be no snow on the ground
ooooooo ares! your'e so scary!
artemis the huntress, nash? name's already taken in here. lol!
so it might be up from the snow
ooooooo ares! your'e so scary!
yes, but i'm no longer a figment of thx and the scribe's imaginations. say where were you last nite?
aww taken
I was here at home where it is warm and toasty and a bottle of gionelli in hand!
Cheek's WORSE!
Seems we've our first NTFCF Blooper...
I was being filmed sliding --------------> into the focus o'the camera, you know? I'd take off, slide, and end upright in front o'the camera?
Did it, and did it, and did it, until I was huffing and puffing...
And kept doing it.
Only this one time... right as I got in line with the camera, BOTH feet went out from under me and I flew thru the air like a sack o'potoates! Just missed the PA gaffing - holding a mike - laying on the ground outta camera range...
EVERYBUDDY, including me broke up!!! They say ittiz classic... I come sliding into camera range with this happy, cheerful smile on my face, only to have my mouth fly open and my eyes pop out in shock and surprise... And I compeletely disappear!!!!
Only to me could it happen.
And let me tell YOU, LLady! I've one REALLY SORE BUTT!!!!
was waiting for more clues i though the clue was so bad it was a joke at first ........but it wasnt
verde, i feel your pain! that was me last weekend, and my shoulder is still sore.
DOES BILL HAVE HIS RV OUT YET
I needed that laugh, green! Is your life always so colorful?
Keller Lake Park, Maplewood – attached to a piece of wood in 76, I think. Also was in Battle Creek - Mplwd side in 1970 and at Marydale park in Mplwd in 72 or something, that cause a big fuss, cause it got all tore up...
Hmm.
Very interesting this year... Doesn't seem to be too much bull in the clues so far, but depending on the next couple days' clues, I could easily see this getting to be a "let's throw out a bunch of vague bits and then herd them all into the right place near the end" fatality like Conway's hunt.
I'm not sure I like where the hunt's reputation is going. This is now being taken too commercially. The release of the newspaper clues and the website clues used to be pretty congruent. Now they're specifically releasing the clues at the PP 1 hour beforehand... and *gasp* when you're at the PP waiting, look at all the capitalist propaganda!
I'm sorry, but this was much more fun when the prize wasn't worth more than 5 grand. Half for the medallion, half for the support of the winter carnival. Now we can add on the collection of the daily clues.
As a side note, I'm guessing that the instating of the validity of the website clues was done as a motion of accepting a mistake regarding a plan to get people to purchase the PP more often. Originally, it seems logical that someone thought it would be a good idea to toss some more cash into the event if all the clues were clipped out of the paper. Approximately 9-11 papers multiplied by however many hardcore hunters there are out there (aren't we all? :) would probably equate, given a few more advertising and marketing models, to well more than the additional 5 thousand bucks they award the winner. Someone calling BS on them and requesting that the website clues (which is still indirectly traffic to their publication, although not as splendid as people purchasing the newspaper) be accepted wasn't apparently thought of. So, next time, release the Press's clues an hour ahead of time, and shove a bunch of commercials and dreck at the populace! Great idea! Oh well.
The hunt in Cherokee park a few years ago was the last hunt I had any fun on. There weren't more than a small herd of people outside the Press upon release time, and I'm willing to bet that THAT herd was only as large as it was because the distance to Cherokee park made it very convenient to be there in the first place. It's now a commercial attraction. Great.
</RANT>
Alright. I'm done whining. I have to get my quota in before I can have any fun digging. :)
From what I've read so far, it seems that many people are not listening to the tenants of the hunt:
I'm willing to bet the prize money, and more, to 99% accuracy, that:
- The medallion will NOT be hidden in a high traffic area. If you see many footprints around made by non-hunters, you can probably look elsewhere. - It will NOT be hidden directly next to or under an object. (Trash cans, bleachers, whatever. When will you cherubs learn?) - It will NOT be hidden in a place where snow removal will take place, or could potentially take place, or in an area that will as a result of snow removal bury it. - It will NOT be hidden in a sketchy area of St. Paul.
There are more, but these are key.
The skill of visualising the park is not from solving each clue specifically, but by learning the behavior of the clues... I mean, year to year, there are very apparent trends that are made with the prose and the vocabulary of the clues... and once you read through all the hunts, clues, and explanations that you have access to, you'll be able to SEE what these clues are foreshadowing.
I have a lot of confidence in merely studying past hunts and comparing similar trends for the front half of the search. There's nowhere near enough data to even think about doing anything more than drive around and scope out the different possibilities that the first few clues narrow the hunt down to (which are still plentiful :( ).
Then again, it might all change tonight. :) All of us have the potential to get into a frenzy, grab the shovels, and dig ourselves late to work tomorrow :)
So, opening the questions, do you guys think that it
Ares, yeah, Merriam and Como still in the running with moi.
However, Ares, you didn't do it in front of like 12-15 people with a camera - running - focused on you!!! Pretty embarrassing!
green, sounds like brown has some rubbing to do tonight....
wow that was long hehe
Where have you been driving Matt?
See anything interesting?
saw a bum hehe
really i did though
WOODS= SHERWOOD FORREST FAIR=CLEAR WRECK WHEELOCL MAYBE PHALEN ALSO ATLANTIC ST NOT FAR FROM THERE
matt, you gotta go find the lyrics this year that were written for the hotel coolerfornia. "but mistakes they made last year -- they tend to forget..."
Allison Wonderland 1/17/02 1:21PM
I was looking at this map
http://www.stpaul.gov/depts/parks/maps/Recloclrg.gif
Seems like the bigger recs are in red.
Heyden Heights? Rice & Lawson? Never heard of these. Anybody been to those?
Heights are hills?
MAYBE
wish i'd have been there, green. where were you at?
no i havent
Whew! Matt, you'd make a good news commentator for Mr. NewsXXXXXXXXX!
Annie, the colour o'my life has now been eclipsed by the colours starting on my left butt cheek!!! :D
Wished I'd fallen on my head:
a) maybee it would have knocked some sense into it about these clues,
b) it wouldn't have hurt as much since there's nuttin' up there!
was at highland
Someone was asking about what's in and on the air in BC. Well, there are airplanes flying overhead. And Pt. Douglas Drive is nearby--Paul Douglas is on TV. There's also a Falcon St. and a Cardinal St. But, I'm not convinced BC is the place.
I just feel so lost with these darn clues! We could be running all over the city for the next 3 days! With the snow melt to come, I'm afraid someone will just stumble onto it unwittingly. Anyone have any ideas that make any sense?
none make sense to me
right now i like mounds
but people dug into the mounds they wouldnt hide it there ever again i heard
Sorry to sound like a party poop here, but I did a quickie through Merriam last night just to see what everyone is hub-bubbing about (didnt like it much) and I spotted that camera crew. Ok, Ok. You've made your movie, it was fun...la-la-la...now take those cameras back to NY and let us dig in F@#!*%*& peace. Screw your additional footage...you are turning the hunt into a joke...I agree with (sorry forgot who said it up there)that the best recent hunt was Cherokee. The clues were fly, hunters were hunters...the bs was minimal. I'm not complaining about the $10,000 plus dollar prize, but cant we have substantial prize and integrity or do we have to sell out? Food for thought...see you all in the parks.
-Shovel
well, green, eventually it will turn green! lol! and i'm not giving news a chance to hang around long enough to need a commentator.
they could be trying to throw u off
BC, Ares.
gogreen (boy! Does it ever feel weird to type THAT! :D), I'm not sold on Falcon and Cardinal and planes in the air.
Clue said "in AND on the air."
That 'and' is important. Gotta go together. Planes and birds are only "in" the air, they're not "on" it. Only broadcast waves are in the air - as they're transmitted - and on the air - when they're received.
Am I the only one noticing the dualities this year? Like Chair-O-Key? Talk about double vision!!!
Well, I think I will leave with what I have started with.
I do not think that it is in any of the parks I have been to this year. Mounds, BC, MLK, Merriam, Highwood Hills. (I have to work this year)
They all stink, I think. BC is the best, but not a good solution.
could be i dont think so though
NO MR NEWS TONITE?
OK+Hey+n= honkey
lets wait for the next clue
green, i never picked up on the duality of the broadcast waves like that. i'd argue them the other way around though, as most of us associate being on the air with transmitting and, well in the air has to be received then. how's that for a screwy sentence for you?
hey all! I finally am writing something after slogging through about 1 million posts! Here's what I think about the whole echoing deal: I don't think they would make realations to past hunts and events just to keep the hunt open to those unaware of all the prev. hunts. Also, if anyone needs info or questions about Merriam Park, feel free to ask me, cuz I live very close to it and know it like the back of my hand...
I've just got this awful feeling like ittiz going to be at Conway... I'm anxious to see if streets start popping up.
Not that I'd be able to noodle the names outta the clues, but I'm gonna try!
he's been here once, medallionator. he's also left us once.
Ares, you are not going tonight? You are melting back into annonymousdom?
Battle Creek is not a St. Paul park .....look it up - it is a Ramsey County PArk.....
not tonite, leela. i may not make it till ddave posts the clue. i'm still thinking about tomorrow nite though. and where have you and the scribe been all day? (i'm just waiting for a smart-assed tag-line from her is all :)
is everyone running five minutes late (LAG TIME) on message board???
nope digger dave
But Ares, when you say "The Weakest Link is on," that's short for "on the air." The thought is understood. And when a show is "on" (on the air), ittiz being received by the TV, not being transmitted which is "in the air" - the waves going thru the air to the TV...
Friday night and Saturday night are always lots of fun at the Press. After, we usually go out hunting and then to eat.
Falcon Heights wouldn't be a bad place to hide it. Nobody knows where it is! Once you eliminate the Fair Grounds and the "St Paul" Campus you've narrowed the city down pretty well. Just look for our parks!
ok green, i'll buy that. not that it matters, really. the duality of the signal's been established.
Digger - there is a way to set your preferences so it refreshes in 1 minute, no minutes, 5 or 10 minutes - check out your preferences to see if you can change it to help you out. I think it is something really simple.
Conway was 2000... This is 2002...
DUALITIES!!!! AAARRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!
The Medallian Hunter - the rec is in st. paul for battle creek
ahh! It's only 8:30! Somehow I had the feeling that it was like 10:30... we need another clue, except what I hate is how we anticipate the clues alot and then when they get here, it's pretty much the same as the day before... at least until about clue 7
Oh my God!!! It's 2002 already!! I better get to sleep...
Nah.
noooooooooooo. not a palinjoe year! is that a misstaken fact i see in there?
The tower is pretty solid. What about the rest of my questions?!
I'm pretty sure that Battle Creek and Phalen are out. BC has the scruntiny of the Maplewood people not liking their park torn up. Phalen has a golf course connected, and there hasn't been a "stay away from the golf courses" warning in the clues.
Although, there is a definite feeling of a completely different brain writing the clues this year. The style is nowhere near the last 5 years' worth of hunt.
Unfortunately, with this logic, Highland would be out until convinced otherwise, too. :( I like Highland...
-MaTT
Usual Suspect - Yes it is - but BC is not a "st. paul park" - but keep looking there if you like......
ANNIE B, thanks for the tip. hope that does it. david
I was out at Meriam park tonight... hand ful of people... No one at Highland, No one at Phalen, Hand full of people at BC
Jeez why don't hide 4 medallions, making it worth 2,500 each and have the same clues for all the hiding spots. That would make it fun. But that would also complicate the hunt...
i'm not looking there, but i worked for the county in the summer and the battle creek rec center is located in st. paul.
the reginal park if half maplewood, half st. paul
matt, there's definitely a different clue-writer this year, or at least a different personality of the previous one. battle creek is eligible in the fact that maplewood doesn't get to complain if its dug up, especially if its the st paul side thats dug up, as the park is run by the county, not the city. good observation about phalen. i'll add another one though. the only area that qualifies as having both on and off street parking as clue 5 requires is the rec center area of it.
It was in BC in '70 also
How is everyone doing tonight?
WHO IS GOING TO PP
Hi all, well i only have 160 miles on my car since yesterday, it's nowhere to be found, tried Battle, but got lost so i said, screw it, then went to Phalen and missed the turn to get inside, so i said screw it, and here i sit :( Glad no one found it yet !
The clowns will be at the PP tonight for the dropping of the 6th...
it is at cherokee for sure becuase amuse a little tot would be to give him playdough and Plato blvd. runs righ into cherokee found it
Master! You pooped out! Missed some heavy, long-time noodling with me and Mac/Grove Man...
Pretty good, Phillip. The usual: tired, confused, frustrated! :D
Anyone been out to Swede Hollow yet?
WHO IS GOING TO PP
I might, after a couple more beers...
Hahaha skunk :) I thought about that a couple years ago.
So, is there a Merriam expert in the crowd? We went for a drive around it last night and it really doesn't seem like there's anywhere to logically dig for anything; too many footprints. I saw some cameras running around by the rinks, but it wouldn't be by a hockey rink (traffic). There were a few nice places, but they weren't in view of the tower.
I think I liked the previous clues' grammar better than this year's, so far. However, the nifty rhyme and rhythm seems to make the clues a lot more fun to read aloud :P
-Matt
shaggy- you gonna be painted for the unveiling of the 6th jokers card... i mean clue?
WHAT IS THE NEAREST BAR TO PP?
MH, If BC is not a ST. PAUL park the why was the medallion found in it in 1995? hmmm??
Green I was at Miriam and didn't like it... too small to many little kids look like they play in the area.. could get turned up too easy.. I am so confused..........
cause maplewood is in ramsey county and the med can be hidden in ramsey
Shaggy "Dope" (I've been reading it "Dog" for like only about how many weeks now????!!!! I gotta get new contacts!!!), you BETTER BE DOWN THERE, NINJA!!!!
You crack me up so much with some o'the lines you come up with!!! I'm still laughing over you and that fourth clue!!!
Can't wait to meet you!!!
ClueMaster - BC in the 70's shows it is a County placed medallian.... but keep looking there if you like
Yeah, face paint and all. We're hoping it narrows it down to just a couple parks, so we can go out to parks too.
janis- in 95 the clue said ramsey county park...
I got five on it. sorry just wanted to say that...
clue 2, 1995 at battle creek. found in the st. paul side of the park.
itsatcomopark
G - I got sucked in to this board as usuall and couldn't get out. Kind of like right now when I have tons of sh!t to get done around because I was off for a few days. I liked it when that idiot Mrneeews was on because I leave the board and not worry about loosing anything. That was a fast (escorted) exit for him anyway. Thanks
I will see you ninjas down there then.
THE MEDALLIONATOR MOBILE WILL BE THERE...BUT BACK TO MY QUESTION...WHAT IS THE NEAREST BAR TO THE PP?
iknowevrythingandyouallnownothing
Master, save your breath on the Maplewood/St. Paul xplination about BC. The rec center portion is in St. Paul; the eastern section, to the east of McKnight, is in Maplewood. Some folks just will not in anyway believe it.
Oops sorry I Did not know!
How many people have no idea about the real basis of the
medallion hunt raise your hand.
Seriously, this is a joke how many stupid questions get asked
Sorry everyone i had to vent.............
MH - I haven't even thought of BC this year. Just making a point.
cherokee is the place to be i am going now with plato blvd and water st. there is no reason it isnt there i am a god
janis- i said the same thing until i looked it up.
iwasattherightparkearlierandwillbebacktherelader
cherokee is the place to be i am going now with plato blvd and water st. there is no reason it isnt there i am a god
Good evening all - more mapping looking and noodling has come up with the following.
What do you think?
"be fair" - Fairview Avenue Runs right along Newell
all we'll - Wheeler street is the other side of newell
Wooded park with rolling hills
Has a "tot lot" - listed on the friends of parks website
rec - can't quite fit this, but there is a four season heated building there, not officially a rec center, but could be thought of as one.
on the air - a road a block or so to the south is Hubbard - ie. Hubbard broadcasting
in the air - basketball hoop.
Anyone agree or disagree?
Timmers, time to cut yet?

Anyone know anything about Swede Hollow ? I haven't considered it yet, because i know nothing about it.
I just want to have a good clue come out so that we know by the weekend start.
green- we don't even know the freekin park... maybe next week ;)
Doesn't the St. Paul Park n Rec have some kind of main center where things are sold to the public and where the Park n Rec vehicals go to be serviced(wreck); is this by a park?
It is not swede hallow there is no rec center
IT IS STILL WAY EARLY...NO SENSE DIGGING WHEN THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBLE PARKS THAT FIT
Web Star-Isn't Plato down below CP on the river? I didnt think it actually ran through the park though
I thought I was going out scouting tonight. Guess not.
I think just about any clue could fit about any park right now without much stretching. It's all in interpretations. Whoever interprets the clues correctly will find the right park. After that it's the luck of the shovel.
