BC is my first choice -- especially if I think of "in and on the air" as the clue telling us what the medallion has been placed in. But, if that's not so, my second choice so far is Merriam Park & Rec because KSTP tower can be seen from there, thus fitting the other definition deciphered from "in and on the air".

Hey all, there is a kids play area at Mound (it's across the street from the mounds) - it's pretty large too. There are a lot of hills there too - I know the area pretty well but I'm thinking Battle Creek too. But then, I was totally off last year. Does anyone know if there are radio/cell towers in the area? It's the highest point over there.

Yes, I was at Mounds about 7:30. We walked a good part of it, mainly we liked it from the beacon toward downtown. 3 possible spots (downhill, no woods)

Ares - you are correct....in the listing for St. Paul Parks and Recreation -- Battle Creek is not listed when you 'click' on St. Paul parks -- it is only listed in the Recreation Centers section. - SO - I may need to focus on Merriam -- as Clue #1 definitely states "you can find it in a St. Paul park". -- the "park and rec" line in Clue #5 must only refer that the St. Paul park also has a recreation center -- but it has to be both.

Frosti that reminds of what happened to me when I was out on clue #4 Looking at Phalen... I was on the East Shore Drive Side over by the point... anyways. I stopped to get out of the car and then I noticed something in the air and I could see the radio towers from this location so then I started shaking ..like what if I found it this early I was soo excited.. So I jumped up to get the thing down from the tree and low and behold it was a dirty pair of underwear...and of course I had no flashlight.. regardless I still kicked those nasty things around until I was positive there was nothing hidden in them.

I went to Battle Creek and dug around the infield on ball diamond 3. The clues fit because you can see both the 3m sign from there and if you "knit your brow" and look close, you can see the 1 building and the antenna for on the air. Also interpreted FAIR as the medallion being in fair territory. Chose diamond 3 again because of the TRIPS I felt good about the area, but I didn't bring 2 pairs of socks, so I left after about 2 hours when I could no longer feel my toes :)

I went to the Friends of the Park page -- looked up Battle Creek Regional Park -- states it's located in Maplewood; managed by the County. Looked up Battle Creek Recreational Center - states it's located in St. Paul; managed by the City. ????? I'll still keep Battle Creek in mind...maybe they're confused about where BC is located...

I am starting to think the "amuse tiny tots" line is significant. A TOT by definition is already tiny, but the clue writer felt it necessary to make this redundant statement. I get a strong feeling this could mean MINNEHAHA. Tiny = mini and amuse =haha. Also, the fair reference could point us to 1 of 3 rec centers by Fairview Ave. and Minnehaha. Also, the DRIVE YOUR WRECK makes me now think of the auto junk yard I saw over that way. I am torn between this area and Battle Creek. I hope tonight's clue pushes me one way or another

Marie, not really.. If you look back at clues from past years med was hidden by parks by Fairview Ave, Fair was used very early. I think the problem over that way is there are very few landmarks, so they have to expose the hand early....Another idea I just got on the air is the radio station tower off of University is also visible from those 3 rec centers. Hmmmmmm Advantage Fairview and Minnehaha

Yeah Big Lew- If you squint (knit your brow) you can see the ONE, which also doubles as a TV broadcast tower. I think 1 only visible from the ball dimonds though.
I think that in clue #5 park in the street or in the lot is poking fun at the people who have there car towd during a snow emergancy so is it possible tht there is a snow emergancy sign near the hiding spot

Hello everyone, Tonight the Med will be found shortly after 2 AM I dont want any of you to get depressed, as its all in clean fun! Dont you just hate logging on and finding that you arent the winner? Kind of makes a person anxious for the upcoming year. Ive played long enough to know this writer is just having his fun with us. Scary thing is, 99.986 percent of hunters will be empty handed in less than 12 hours. Upon my winning I will state how grateful I am to my previous employer of 8 years for laying me off 3 days before the hunt so I can hunt at will.
