Great Guss I am down to Como or Mounds for parks
DartHead - 07:15am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17166

One thing that i am thinking is Hay Hay Ok Ok is they are repeating the words
as in repeating the same place as last year.
great guss - 07:16am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17167
of 24984)
how does the reccenter and parking fit in with como?
great guss - 07:17am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17168
of 24984)
does indian mounds have a rec center near the slide? and i think there are to
many baseball refrences to be ignorded
DartHead - 07:18am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17169
of 24984)
Rec unsure parking there is a parking lot by the rides and all around that
area.
DartHead - 07:20am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17170
of 24984)
Do you know where they found it last year There is a baseball field play
gound for the kids and on the other side of the parking lot there are hills far
from the woods.
DartHead - 07:23am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17171
of 24984)
Park N rec could mean Park and Recreations as in St. Paul Parks and
Recreation and maybe has nothing to do with a rec center.
great guss - 07:23am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17172
of 24984)
just don't see it there 2 in a row
DartHead - 07:25am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17173
of 24984)
maybe thats what they want you to think.
great guss - 07:25am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17174
of 24984)
maybe by a park n rec sign as a line of sight clue?
DartHead - 07:27am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17175

It has never been done why not this be the first!

Goodmorning all, when I first read this clue I said rule out all big parks go
to the THG and find all the parks and recs that have parking lots... I just
don't know... I am so confused this year... arg..
Erica T. - 07:28am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17177

Do you really think they would hide it AGAIN at como? that just so stupid.

I thought not just any fool could find it. What
kind of lie is that?
I like Battle Creek. There is a park, a rec center, parking lots, and street
parking. There is lots of space. There are a lot of hills with woods.
Erica T. - 07:34am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17181

Is Merriam Hilly? BC sounds okay. I think they may be waiting till the
weekend to drop the real bomb.

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it
weren't for ThoseMedallingKids!!
I like Tim the hunter. Just kidding. Well, I do, but not in the way you all
are thinking. Anyways, for those who are complaining about the wording of these
clues, it seems there is some consensus that we have no idea what park that it's
in. That seems to lend itself towards a long hunt, which I think most support.
So that seems like a good thing...
DartHead - 07:36am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17183
of 24984)
The only thing about battle creek is that I went into a web for MN and went
into the Goverment records and looked into city Parks and Picnics areas and
Battle Creek is not on the list either is PH.
Erica T. - 07:37am Jan 24, 2002 CST (#17184

I think so too. drawing it out is more fun. some people can't really get away
until the weekend anyhow.
where is BC?

well i was actually thinking that the park-n-rec is going to limit it to a
rec center. (duh) perhaps even to the point of it being someplace that is
traditionally known exclusively as a park, but that also shares a name with a
rec centre. phalen falls into this category. don't know which other ones do

dh, i've been thinking the same thing about phalen and parking. i never see
anyone parked on east shore drive, or johnson/wheelock. if it is phalen, they'd
have to be talking about streets like ivy (street across the grassy knoll from
wheelock) IMO. anyone know if wheelock/johnson/eastshore are/aren't no parking

and trying to make the hunt last, I think our chain is going to get yanked a

If you can derive Atlantic St. from the Time and Tide clue, how about Pacific
St., which is the first street at the start of Indian Mounds Park, right off 94.
On another note: The etymology of "wreck," in old english, means "to drive."
As for the doubles OK, OK & hey, hey, and maybe there being a park &
a rec center, how about there being the Indian Mounds Park & Mounds Park rec
a few blocks away?
Just a few ideas I'm kicking around.

There is a "Como Park," and there is a "North Como Rec Center."

Maybe in order to understand mankind, we have to
look at the word itself: "Mankind". Basically, it's made up of two separate
words - "mank" and "ind". What do these words mean ? It's a mystery, and that's
why so is mankind.
