I agree about the state fair grounds, I thought the clues could fit there well except that it isn't a park...

you can find a spot that perfectly fits the descriptions at Como for sure...also seems like highland has the features described.

So much talk about the fairgrounds, so many reason why it can be there!

1) It's in Falcon Heights, not St. Paul, clue one specifically says a St. Paul Park

2) It's not even a park

3) It's private ground

Maybe we can put this one to rest

I went to Crosby tonight - it wasn't that creepy. Also went to Mounds - great possibilities there. At Mounds, if you "knit your brows," you can se the "1" on the bank bldg downtown. Liked that tie-in a lot.

At Merrian there is a DOT trafic camera that is very high inthe air and broadcasts on the air I liked that more than a tower

What I like about Mounds vs. just about any park is the woods. Real woods...not just trees. I like the airport visible, the fact that the park is quite large for what everyone is hoping will be a long hunt.

I'm still keeping an open mind though. Don't want to make the clues fit the park, but let the clues lead the way.

I think it is at Indian Mounds. I went looking tonight of course with no luck, however the signs all point to there, really!! First off "light a spark" in #1....Mounds is right off Burns Avenue!!! If you "knit your brows on this one"....you will see a ONE....the giant one on the first bank tower. Time and tide...not sure about the time, but there's the Miss. River... There's many hills, there's also woods, but areas that are away from the woods. Fun and slide... 3 meanings, there's 2 places for sledding, and a slide at the playground, also a baseball field (slide into home?) Carnival hunter's pride...and GAME...well the hatchery for game fishing is located right next to Mounds, is it not? Something on and in the air...radio towers, a few of them. And also, OK OK,...isn't OK the name of one of the mounds there? C'mon guys...prove me wrong before I spend countless hours there (thinking of skippin school tomorrow!!) Haha

I definately think it is in Highland. Is the only park where you can see 1st building where you are not directly by the river. We would have had a water clue by now. And no, TIDE would not apply to a river. Tide was simply a word to go with HIGH to give you half of HIGHLAND

ND: there is no sledding at Crosby. Pretty small hills. But, it would be a heck of a slide down the bluff/hill from Miss. R. Blvd to the park. To make Crosby fit, it's a stretch to use the word literally.

Well, i wish i knew!! Hahahaha, i looked tonight without a flashlight. I really love it when you go to a park (i'm new at this, so maybe its the way its done) and then you see people wandering around, kicking the snow, digging holes...and you say "hey, how's the search" and they deny looking for the medallion! Well what the heck else would they be doing?? I thought that was kind of rude, I thought it would be a fun social experience :( Other people were very nice...but those ones!! Sheesh??! New Daddy- Checked out Merriam and Mounds today. I liked Merriam the best of the two because you could see the Capital 2-way radio antenna down on the ballfields away from the wooded area of the park. Don't know if I was totally convinced yet.

All except for the year at Conway, St. Paul's finest tend to look the other way during the hunt - especially when it gets to be later on and there are more people actually hunting in one particular park.

Tami, you can meet me at one of the parks this weekend if you want...I dress warm, take my winter shovel and go out to the parks!! And take a flashlight for night time....it's quite fun!!
