The word show also means place third in shows, koko is an animal at como boy to many far off clues
arrrgggghhhh
One has to wonder if the "hunters pride" may very well be a triubute to "patriotism" the WC theme this year. Thus in reference to "in air or on air" could very well be interpeted as the ---bomb--- at Como Park. I am certain that a radio/tv tower can be seen from there. Food for thought---
Or third place in a race. As in cross country skiing race, like the one at BC. Hey... is that thing actually a race, or is it just a bunch of skiiers showing up for fun?
Everything points to hp, except this clue. unless it just means the airplanes from msp. but, the towers make more sense.
Iam thinking como too.
dont think so u are REALLY stretching it
It's a torpedo...
highland park yea maybe because isn't the air flight path over hp?
I have been looking for this thing for over 30 years and my time is coming to an end soon. I just have to find it one of these times. And if I do find it I promise you all I will donate it to the cooler crew for whatever they wish to do with it. Anybody ever been to Montego Bay?
ok, lets apply the clues to como. it would really mess with peoples minds if they put it there again.
there is a statue of torpedo by como
DaBrewMan...a round of beer will be fine
yes, the flight paths go right over there depending on which way the wind is coming from. Plus it is the closest park to the international airport.
koko is name of animal at COMO there is a statue of torpedo at COMO amimals get killed at humane society by COMO
actually, there is a torpedo at como, not just a statue
My brain is racked, too much confusion, must shake cob webs and start over arrrrrrrrrrrgh!!
Looking up the Valley Rec Ctr, pg 72 Hunters Guide shows that it is located near Capitol/Mount Airy Homes area, and is near Holmman Air Field, and there is a Mount Airy Boys & Girls Club
Also the 'use your brain' you refer to something as simple as University Avenue also. Just a pondering...
spark=sparky the seal, I was the 1 who brought up the cocoa thing
there is kiddie airplanes at como isn't there ?
Mounds Park huh I will be there riding my bike up tommorrow in the morning to search :) I hope its there since I will spend about 2-3 hours looking there if I have to. guess I will need to bring my snacks along.
da brew did you find it??
they used to be helicopters not airplanes
yes sparky the seal at como there is sliding hills
YEAH...MY BACKYARD FITS TOO
Alright kiddies...time for this tired soul to hit the hay...been up 36 hours and can't take any more noodling...good night, good luck, and for God Sakes! BYOB!
Ok Como-
Clue 4- Well it's near the fair. you can prolly see the tip of the space needle, which is in the air. Anybody confirm seeing a broadcasting tower from there? No airports nearby so that interpretation wouldn't fit.
clue 3- time and tide?? dunno... fun and slide as in playground, which fits. Carnival hunters pride... well there are lots of animals at the zoo which hunt, also the fair nearby (carnival). Fits so-so I guess
clue 2- Hills, woods- yes.
clue 1- St. Paul park - yes.
I'd say it's a resonable guess at this point. what did I miss?
newell park they all fit
I really can't go 4 como though. I still like highland park
how so MM?
you make tides in the pool at como the winter carnival is there
LIKE I SAID...MY BACKYARD FITS PERFECT...I THINK I'LL START DIGGIN
where does one find a treasure hunters guide?
Time and tide, fun and slide= High and Land = highland. that is just to much to be a coinincidence
Diggin' Queen' I speculate when they came out it was WAY to early to name a park...even a big one.
Seriously though, I'm leaving...good night, BYOB
snake- that's why I always dig at highland because it *always* seems to fit the first few clues. highland or mounds is always on my list for the first few....
nite teddy
WHERE IS JAKE
kids slide by devels den fairview streeet space needdle fairgrounds
I still think they could very sneakily name the park. only a few would figure it out. I didn't, some1 else did.
I'm with teddy here (despite my bias against that giant snow pit called highland park :). I get the feeling they were describing terrain rather than naming a park. even though I did spend half an hour driving around highland park today...
I STILL THINK IT MAY BE MEARS PARK
I still think the Time & Tide refers to either Era (Time) or Tide detergent box - one that perhaps would hold enough soap from a dispenser at the launderamat would be about the right size for the Medallion wouldn't it?
small park to be at this year, no doubt
Bingo Annie! The tide detergent box/bottle was exactly what I had thought for awhile.... then I was thinking a knitted item like a mitten. now I just rip open anything I find laying on the ground :)
Allright everyone, start thinking "landmarks". I would say in years past a landmark was stated at or before clue 4, so think landmarks.
Like some one said before if it was at a park with a golf course it was made clear right of way every year True?
GO TO AOL...PRIVATE ROOM..."HUNTERS CHAT" FOR QUICKER CHATTING
snake, why mears? bcuz of the clock? bcuz of the YMCA's working your legs? Bcuz the knitting factory somewhere in Lowertown area? What else would point to Mears in these clues? Would love to think it could be so close to look.
well time for me to say g'night all... got to work in the AM... maybe I'll try to sneak back sometime during work or later tomorrow. have a good night and good luck!
Annie, too bright=too easily found
Snowballs, why then if they were playing the word game would they inadvertantly name an actual park?
MM, I could buy off on the last clue fitting there, but what about the rest of them?
Its not at mears. Get it out of your head. It will never be there. The park is one block square in size with about 13 hiding spots total.
SCD's Balls
YOUR KNOW... THERE ARE SO MANY POSSIBLE PARKS...THERE IS A STREAM THERE...HILLS..ITS WAY TOO EARLY TO START DIGGING
ok, CM what's your take on this????
The park hasn't been named yet either...it never has before so why now, that is why i am against Highland. Como fits pretty darn well.
COMO, MY BACK YARD, HIGHLAND, MOUNDS...THEY ALL FIT...ITS TOO SOON
Queen- to throw people off. How could they *not* name a park like "highland" using word games like that? Lots of people are bound to see it that way whether it's right or not.... just my thoughts...
Now I'm really going to bed.... night all!
But can anyone see a street name yet in any of the clues?
MW, I realize that. I'm really trying not to think about it. And trust me Como is close to my house, and hp is not. so I wouldn't mind if it were there, but I just don't think so.
No never have I found it. Does anybody know what time Cathi found it last year?
I don't think it is at Como either, but that is the best fit so far anyway. It will all change by tomorrow.
I FOUND IT...AND I WILL DO IT AGAIN
early in the morning, shortly after I left from digging about 5 feet from where she found it. aaarrrrrgggggghhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
What do you think about Crosby..... "we are game to play" Elway Street and Gannon Road. Also a radio station and you can see the airplanes.
Ohh, that sounds really good. Elway and Gannon hunh?
NH, how do the rest of the clues fit?
How do I get into the chatroom?
and where's crosby?
Way southwest side of St. Paul
Crosby is the "tip" of ST PAUL and there is also the restaurant BUCA. "WORK YOUR BRAIN", COULD BE REFERING TO THE MICR-PROCESSOR PLANT THAT IS THERE,(OLD UNIVAC).
Am I missing Something? How are you guys getting highland?
in and on the air is a huge clue-I was thinking "clouds"
Crosby is in Highland Park next to Hidden Falls
Time and tide,= HIGH time and HIGH tide
fun and slide,= funLAND and LANDslide
=highland
I think it is in a detergent box inside a knit cap.
DQ - I guess Mounds is just as good as any for now with the generic 'all-park' clues and this recent one with the air references. I just hope the new(?) writer uses more thought when coming up with the points of interest other than just 1 or possibly 2 POI per clue. Hell, why not use some of our CC ideas that fit the final resting place even if they weren't originally thought of in the first place. Nothing worse than coming up with a better answer to a clue than the original 'generic/one meaning' answer that's printed in that final edition of the PP after the meds been found. I'm having a harder and harder time accepting mediocrity when you could easily write the clues to fit both the rookie hunter and the seasoned vet. The noodeling is fun but it kind of hurts the head when most of it is for naught.
What do you think DQ? Any ideas yourself yet or just chair hunting for now?
Ahhh okay, thanks queen
In the Air is refering to airplanes on the air is radio/tv
I liked the highland idea in the begning with prefix and suffix to make time and tide and fun and slide=highland but,,,,,,the whole no disturbing of golf course thing throws me off of highland. I heard it's sacred ground for those who golf there.
I've been hunting every year for about 20 years now. I was really thinkg HP until this clue. I think this clue could pertain to the flight paths over HP, but more realistlly it would fit better for a radio or tv tower or station. BC is still in my top three choices. I'm not convinced enough of any 1 park to go digging yet. And trust me, I'd love to go now cause I have to go out of town this weekend. And will be holding my breath till I get back. lol
brb, I'm going to go look at crosby on a map.
WHERE THE HECK DID EVERYONE GO?????? CROSBY!
Ck'g to see how Crosby would fit in to the clues.
For "Look for something in and on the air" I was thinking billboard, maybe for a tv show or radio show. Anyone else think that?
How about smoke 'in the air' from the Xcel (NSP) smoke stack by downtown? You can see that from almost every park. I do like the 'on the air' ideas refeering to either an on-air radio or TV show, or an ad for one, or the tower with the call letters.
ooooooooooooooooooo, I like crosby!!!!!!!!!!
#1 from the beginning I thought "Far and wide take your hunt" meant the outskirt of st. paul and a long park.
Hmm. That could be an idea
#2 the airport practaclly borderes the park. there's the in and on the air clue
The fact that there was no clue saying stay away from the golf course is messing me up. Do you guys think theres no golf course where it is, or that they left it out just to mess with us?
Time and tide, fun and slide could still mean HP. they could name the park if it was a border!!!!! not the park.
Down the hill, far from the woods any1 know how the terrain is out there????
there's no golf corse at crosby
"Hey, hey," you say, "We're game to play But give us a tip -- be fair!"
as night hunter said: elway and gannon are streets that run right into it. baseball players.
the only 1 that doesn't fit for me is
Clue #2 You may knit your brows on this one Or just trek up and down every hill Work your brain, your legs, it will be fun If you have some time to kill
any1 got a take on this 1??? night hunter????
Theres not really a park in highland is there? theres hillcrest, and the sledding areas, but ive never seen an actual park.
elway and gannon run into Crosby?
Wasn't it in the Rules about the golf course so it wouldn't need to be in a clue? Tide could refer to the Marina perhaps., game - refer to the Mariners., tip - could be reversed to be a baseball pit. 'Slide' into Home base., opposite of fair is fowl. Look for a ball in the air.
Oh well, I am no good at this...
night hunter, you still here???
DQ- there are pictures of Crosby on our web page- On The Kings Court Page
http://www.kingscommons.8m.com/
I've already put my 2 cents in on why I think "fun and slide" does not lead to "land" and thus "High-land". As far as them not mentioning a golf course, do they need to? They state in the rules that we're not supposed to be on one.
thanks mk
There are those orange airplane guide balls 'in' the air on the telephone lines above Crosby/Hidden Falls? Just noodling...
"All we'll" say could mean "all wheel"
annie, i like that
Im totally lost again All Wheel????
"on the air" is most definately a reference to radio or tv. If anything else was "on the air" I think it would classify as a scientific phenomenon. That said, "in the air" could be many things but we must stick with the simplest explanation which tells us it's a radio or tv tower. I know one exists north of Newell Park, near the tracks on the other side of Pierce Butler. The rest of the clue, I think, are filler words.
you can see radio towers from phalen too
ClueMaster... I know some folks trying to get ahold o'you... Like ME!!! You return to work tomorrow, don't you? When would you possibly be available for an interview and/or you and some friends and Fgolf?
Welcome back!
The Pioneer Press and Cub Foods will host three special events for participants in the Pioneer Press Treasure Hunt who gather at the newspaper’s downtown St. Paul headquarters to await publication of clues:

I really dont think they would put it at Newell again so soon though
Aight ninjas, im back...for now anyways
Theres lotsa parks that you can see radio towers from

It is my pleasure! It should help you relax when this thing is over!
Good evening all who are awake at this hour....just got back from Highland & Mounds

anyone out @ mounds?
me2 start looking at crosby. I've seen the light!!!
Well, gotta get some zzzzzz's SCD's folks.
Artemis, gods I hope so... Whatever gave you the idea I was kind'a tense, edgy, over tired and frustrated????? LOL!!!
me2...you like mounds park?
Step, I can't quit laughing!!! Too funny!
G(B) - Hello old friend. Nice 2 C(?)U. How was the Pre-Dig Gig? I read the review that was posted on the site. Sounded fun. I just returned tonight from up-nort-dare. Thanks for the info on the line activities this year. I'm trying to get the guys together ASAP for the Disc-golf shots before this snow melts. I should be good-to-go within a couple of days. Do you know if they have any preferences of time and/or day?
Thanks
do you think that it is just 1 clue writer?
Well Green...for cryin' out loud!! It took me 3 times just to comprehend the clue!!! :)
its prolly 1 writer who has alotta help from co-workers
well all, I gotta get some sleep. Good luck and Happy noodling.
Go Crosby!!!
SCD's DQ & Annie
Yeah, Master... Tomorrow. But things are heating up, and I don't mean must the air temperature...
Can you give Jackie a call tomorrow? Or Trent? Do you have his cell number?
You have been sorely missed. Not only for silly golf outings - LOL!!! - but by me... Well lots o'The 'Crew! Jeez, man! Ittiz like you're coming into this in the middle!!!!!
When you quiting work to Hunt? Can you make the paper tomorrow nite?
I'm too tired to go slogging back 2,000 messages...can somebody explain to me these "Crosby" theories....I am stickin' with BC...for some strange reason, but i would like to hear some other thoughts
Night DQ- SCD's (Sweet Crosby Dreams!)
mk, lol
step go see my post starting with 13877
nite
Fog is in the air and on the air hmmmm ....and of course on little cats feets
SCDs, DQ and Annie...
I, too, need to toddle. It was so hard driving bock from the paper... And I really was going to go to bed rite when I got home, but didn't...
Dog, I hear ya, man! I couldn't get anything at MomPress hearing that damn Clue! And it took me like three or four times HERE, reading it to even get 1/2 a take on it!!!
I think a mental patient wrote it.
Master, the PDG was the best yet. I know I always say that, but ittiz true as they just keep getting better and better. LOTS of new folks showed up, and they've even started posting on here!!!!
I just got back from a park a little while and while I won't claim to be sure, it seems to fit the clues really well. I haven't had a chance to check out Phalen yet which I still think could be a possibility. Eerirly enough Newell seems to fit the clues quite well and so I'm not inclined to discount that. But...
Allison, did you go with Scribe?
i'm thinking phalen too!
Night Green! SCD's!!!
I'll take care of the Cooler Provisions before I go to bed.
CU 2morrow
G - Oh....I'll be there babe. You can bet your winnings on it. I don't have Trent's cell though. Could you please have him (or you) E-mail me with it? I'm open during the day tomorrow if he wants single person shots or maybe some with 2 of us during lunch time. We don't have the tournament until the 3rd at Como if he wants the bigger group shots. I can wrangle up 4 or 5 guys for the smaller ones if he's interested this Saturday some time. I don't know if they can shoot me this year though since I've gained about 15-20 pounds. And that's not even including the 5 pounds the camers adds ;)
this is so tough because EVERY line in EVERY clue could be something important. Usually you can pick out the important stuff!!
You know, I don't want to be a snoot about this...
But, anybuddy else get the feeling this lobotomized vegetable writing these "clues" is talking directly to us guys in HERE???????
I feel it green, mocking us almost
Technically....ANYTHING that is in the air IS on the air....if you really think about it....
Allison- Was it a small park?
Right now I would say Merriam Park. It's kind of small, but all in all I think it's maybe the same size as Conway roughly. There is one main hill with several different crests so you're almost always walking either up or down in much of the park. And the hill, while not quite what I would refer to as "woods" does have several trees. But if you go down the hill, there is a large clearing entirely devoid of trees where the baseball fields are. Adjacent to those there is a playground with many slides as well as a couple of ice rinks one could slide on. On the other side there is Longfellow Magnet school. And then from the top of the hill, you can see no less than 5 broadcast towers. And even if you go to the bottom of the hill to the treeless area, you can still see one main tower. Not quite sure what it is, but I think it's the one on the corner of University and Fairview.
So even if you don't stretch the clues at all and take them at their base value:
#1. While Merriam is technically a Rec Center, it is in the Merriam Park neighborhood, so technically it is in a St. Paul park.
#2. The park has hills with a variety of crests and valleys.
#3. If you go down the hill, (or even slide down the hill) you come to an area without any trees.
#4. Several broadcast towers are visible from the park and one is particularly visible even from the bottom of the hill.
I feel that we're on 'Who Wants To Be A Medallionaire' and we're answering $100 questions with $1,000,000 answers.
If I'm right, it will be a short hunt because there isn't much snow there and not a lot of places to hide the Medallion.
Aretmis, I was gonna ask you if you'd handle tonite - again! You're good at it!
Master, I'll send that to Jackie tonite, and give Trent a copy, too. Sumbuddy will call/e-mail you... A lot o'the hang-ups at work were prolly me...
2K2. Good. I don't feel so paranoid!
Now, I realy am gonna toddle. I'm so tired ittiz an effort to breathe. I can't think (HUSH!), I can't see - my eyes are like sandpaper, and I R really pooped. And there's dirty hunting clothes to warsh and flim paperwork to be done in the AM.
Nyetal X about five times now...
CM- LOL!
We've got pictures of Merriam from early today on our web site- Home page and Kings Court.
http://www.kingscommons.8m.com/
Nite G - Thanks
AW - Good thoughts
Just got back from Mounds. Quite a few folks! Saw last years winner there and that pesky film crew!!!!!
Theres actually a buncha people at mounds?
About 20 an hour ago.
why mounds??? Why anywhere? EVERY park has every single thing in every damn clue.
Hills Sledding Trees Things in the air Fun things to do
ha, good..thats the park me n Shaggs have been talkin about too....if the film crew is still there when the 6th clue drops, their gonna get the clowns on tape..
A lot of people went over to Mounds after the paper came out. I think they were thinking the last clue referred to the air navigational beacon. I suppose it does broadcast via a frequency, but to me it seems hard to think of it as being "on the air".
I was trying to think of things that run on air....but i cant think of stuff you'd find in any parks...
The clowns are like legends, sort of like Bigfoot, when I was down at the paper. People were whispering, "Do you think they're real?" And someone would reply "I heard so and so actually saw one last year!"
Mounds so far is the only one with the most in common I felt strong vibes and really freaked when last years winner was there. Only thing missing is a decent sliding hill!
Its True! Its True! They do exist!
I feel pretty confident this last clue is telling you that you can see a broadcast tower from the park. It does say to look for it so its something you'd be able to see.
AW...that rocks...i know people saw us last year...we kept walkin around at Como and there would be about 15 people standing around digging and they would stop and go..."Whoa!...are those CLOWNS!?!??"
Nah, there's no such thing as clowns! They're really all just part of a government conspiracy designed to distract us from noticing all the secret experiments the government is conducting!
I went down to PP and tried to catch the door as a lady was walking out, she turned and forced that door shut!!!! Way to do your citizen deed!!! I hope a clown crosses your path!!!
I agree AW-this clue seems pretty clear cut, but the "Hey, Hey" is still bothering me
hell yeah...thats gonna kick ass if we end up finding this thing...were going right down there, clown makeup and everything...can you imagine, people picking up the paper the next morning for the clue, only to find out that 2 wicked clowns found it...HAHAHA
Isn't it an odd coincidence that there's not one shred of physical evidence that clowns exist? And yet you want me to believe in them? You only think clowns exist because you want to believe that they do!
Was that you Just Me Man? I saw that. I thought "What a *****!" What was up with that?
Did any of you guys kick some trails tonight?
I don't know that Hey Hey necessarily has a meaning. Most clues only have one bit of information, although the clues thus far seem to have a few. Clue #3 could possibly be seen as having up to 8 different hints!
AW she's not just a member shes the freakin clown president!!!!!!
why do they use the word "tip" instead of "hint" or "idea" or "clue"
Think that means somethin'?
Yeah...the next clue HAS to be a good one...ya figure they gotta throw us some sucky ones, and then a good one and the rest will suck again...
I saw that. I thought "What a *****!" What was up with that?
Right?? She probably works there. Disgruntled paper worker.
Clue 3 had me glued to highland, but too many damn golf courses
I was out at Merriam tonight and ran into kitty there. She was telling me how the camera crew practically jumped her when she came to get her paper. I told her I already knew, I was there and saw the whole thing. I didn't know who she was at that point but from their reaction I thought she was maybe someone famous. She was cool to talk to though. Seemed to have a lot of the same ideas I had.
I was thinking tip (like a foul tip), fair, and game to play could be baseball/softball references.
Clue 3 hit me like this,Time and tide=High-time, High-tide. fun-land, land-slide! I lined up the streets off clue 2 Hillcrest, and all I see is golf courses!!!!!!!!! Oh crud here comes that camera crew......
All i know is this wierdo's drug references in every clue...
"Light a Spark"
"Work Your Brain If You Have Time To Kill...It Will Be Fun!"
"Trip Over The Goods"
"Look For Things In and ON the air"
no wonder we're all stuck!!!
Be fair and on and off air immediately made me think of the Fairgrounds area, and the KSTP tower-which would lead me to como, but could also be baseball field-which many of the parks have.
It could be conclusive or elusive...
The highland connection with clue 3 works well except for "funland". There really isn't any such common expression as "funland" and in the other three words, the added word precedes the word in the clue whereas in this one it comes after it. Plus it would be rather strange to allude to the name of the park in Clue #3.
Anybody wanna touch on the In and on the air? From Mounds I liked High Bridge, Beacon flashing for airport, planes from Holman Field.....
Damn..now that you brought that up, maybe we're not looking for a medallion this year...maybe its a baggie of crack or something?
AW where did your party head after the PP?
I still think it's a broadcast tower. My first instinct was one that broadcasts sports games like the KSTP tower by Newell. From the northern part of Phalen you can see the Shoreview towers. And from Merriam you can see about 5 different towers but I haven't figured out yet what they all are.
Hey, hey and OK, OK... Completely meaningless or a sign of two of something? Double something? I'm new to all this. WTF does it all mean!?!? I see no need for the redundancy.
what if the "in and on the air" thing doesnt mean up in the air...i was thinkin about stuff that you put air into...or things that run on air. Maybe like a bike tire, or an inflatable couch...i dont know why i bring this up...prolly cause its almost 3 in the morning and im tired?
K...here's a thought...I don't think we are supposed to just be looking for beacons or towers or anything like that. They are EVERYWHERE!
What if in AND on the air were two things...but the same.
For instance...seeing that the first part of the clue has somewhat of a baseball theme...let's say there was like a "Bonds" street...it would be IN the air...and he is also ON the air when on TV.
Am I making sense...I don't really know how to explain myself on this one....
Yeah, StepDogg, i dig it
I was actually there alone. I stood outside for a while talking with Scribe and Marley and Artemis and then went back to my car. When I got in my car I started thinking "Where is Merriam anyway? Maybe I should check that one out since I already know Newell and it's too late to get into Phalen." So I looked on my streep map and saw it actually wasn't too far from Newell which really got me thinking that maybe you could see some of the same towers from Merriam as you could from Newell. So I drove over there. Took me a little while to find it but I did. I got out and walked up the hill, then walked down to the playground. I was looking around there when I saw a light on the hill and noticed there were some other people looking around. Since one was wearing the light on her head, I figured they had to be fellow hunters, espeically since they seemed to keep referring to a book they had with them. So I ended up walking over there and it turned out to be kitty and a friend of hers. We talked and checked out the rest of the park together, but none of us brought any digging stuff. After a while I was pretty convinced it was a promising spot so I went back to my car and headed home.
Aw has a point Newell and Merriam plenty of towers North and west!
YOU CAN SEE TOWERS FROM EVERY PARK....EVERY ONE!!!!
You're right that those towers seem to be everywhere, which is what makes it a good clue for this early in the hunt. They're not going to want to tell us something that can only apply to one park and thus reveal the correct park too early.
yeah, they like it to piss people off this early, ninja...almost everyone can look at the clues and go "oh that fits this park....and this one...and this one...OH and this one by my house too"
I live within a mile of both parks! You know how frustrating it is to have it that close to you and not get it?
And actually you can't see broadcast from *everywhere*. It does elimnate some parks, like I don't think you can see any from Hidden Falls.
Exactly! Keep us to'in and fro'in !
If its at Newell again I'll just sh-t!
Could 'Tip' mean something you tip over or tip back, like a cow or a beer?
I need to go - I even sound stupid to myself
Tonights clue HAS to narrow it down to like 3 or 4 parks...
if the clue indeed is referring to broadcast towers. this writer is a nut!! It could be a pun, play on words...something to do with baseball!
Its a narrowing down process, if you follow the "right" chain of thought through the clues you should end up at the right park. It's only the 4th clue.
allison you read to much into clues your floged and u will never find it!!!!!
That Baseball talk is the Saints again! The be fair, Fairgronds. Something in and on the air, Doppler tower! I think I found out what "Hey Hey" you say were game to play" is this writer taking us on a premature goose chase! And the quotations are astatement to us!
as everone forgets this is a carnival event
I bet if I were chemically enhanced somehow, perhaps these clues would make more sense.
Anyways- My list includes Phalen, Indian Mounds, Como, and a couple smaller ones- Merriam doesn't look bad either. I'm already looking forward to the next clue!
The baseball terms were another thing that made me think Newell being by Midway stadium, as well as being by the fair. But the last time it was at Newell, they didn't give us "Fair" quite so easily, so I have a hard time believing they would just offer it right up this time. Maybe they're trying to make us think it's at Newell when it's not.
