hmm, if green is right about about the PP not wanting her find it at phalen, then she is right about it being at battle creek,,, so the pp would never let green be right, so it cant be BC.
After 3 clues I'm relatively certain about only 3 things- Its on the ground, in a park in St.Paul that has hill(s) and woods. I have multiple theories for what everything else means, and a list of atleast a dozen parks that I still like.
I can't wait for the next clue!
Hazelnut brewing in the coffee pot...
cokes,juices, and bottled water chillin...
fresh warm bananna nut bread...
lights dimmed...doors unlocked...
Have a Happy "Time and Tide" Tuesday!
ok on a more serious note...i studied clue three and came up with the following tidbits:
time and tide= a book written by Tsui Hark. Hark is a street name downtown near Rice Park. Also it could be hidden inside this very book.
2.) fun and slide=nothing more than a playground.
3.) down the hill=reference to James J HILL library? (brains) 3a.) far from the woods=reference to golfers? (tiger WOODS) not near the golf course.
Hmmm whatcha think?
OK, Clue Meisters. Are you really qualified to be noodlin these clues?
Take this short test, if you dare! IT IS NOT EASY!
The following short quiz consists of 4 questions and tells whether you are qualified to be a clue meister. Scroll down for each answer.
The questions are not that difficult. Read the question and look up cuz the answer follows and YOU WOULD'NT WANT TO CHEAT answer in your mind first, then scroll down until you see the answer.
1. How do you put a giraffe into a refrigerator?
The correct answer is: Open the refrigerator, put in the giraffe and close the door. This question tests whether you tend to do simple things in an
overly complicated way.
2. How do you put an elephant into a refrigerator?
Wrong answer: Open the refrigerator, put in the elephant and close the refrigerator. Correct answer: Open the refrigerator, take out the giraffe, put in the elephant and close the door. This tests your ability to think through the repercussions of your actions.
3. The Lion King is hosting an animal conference. All the animals attend
except one. Which animal does not attend?
Correct Answer: The elephant. The elephant is in the refrigerator. This tests your memory. OK, even if you did not answer the first three questions correctly, you still have one more chance to show your abilities.
4. There is a river you must cross. But crocodiles inhabit it. How do you manage it!?
Correct Answer: You swim across. All the crocodiles are attending the animal conference. This tests whether you learn quickly from your mistakes.
According to Andersen Consulting Worldwide, around 90% of the professionals they tested got all questions wrong. But many preschoolers got several correct answers. Anderson Consulting says this conclusively disproves the theory that most professionals have the brains of a four year old. I have a hunch here, many of us CLUE MEISTERS should be seeking help from the 4 year old crowd!
May the spark be with you... later
I think it is at Phalen. The rising of the tide could mean the lake rising in the spring. The golf course (out of the woods) Or it could be a Keller (time to Kill-Keller).
Does anyone know why it has never been hidden in the White Bear Lake area ? That is still in Ramsey County. And there is a park named Lakewood Hills.
hey ian! if your out there, I also listen to 93x! hook me up!
Hay I am new to the chat Rm, but I have been looking the Med for the last three years. And last year I was about 200 feet from were they found it. I also passed the test about the anamals.
mornin dart head
welcome to the cooler.
Hay I think if the weather keeps up in the 40s the thing will be out in the open. Just walk by and pick it up.
yeah, kinda sucks cuz some dumb a$$ thats not even lookin for it could find it and ruin it for the rest of us!
With our luck it will be some blined person.
I have a feeling someone thats blind won't see it to begin with! :)
Ok then his seeing eye dog will:)
yeah, hell take it home and hide it in the couch! LOL!
I am going to be out and about today so I am going to eye up some of the possibilities
Good morning. After reading last nights posts. I gotta say Da Brew Man had a great idea. away from(tiger) woods away from golf courses!
Green your thinking will keep me away from BC at least for a while
Highland low on my list because they wouldn't give it away that easy this early
hillcrest, merrium, AA,.....hidden falls, ...and for Green I'll keep highland on my list
ok so this is what I don't understand... it says CARNIVAL hunters pride, not medallion or treasure, is there such a thing as a carnival hunter? or do they mean hunting for somthing at a carnival?
Good morning!
A night of sleep has not turned up any new thoughts but this one. As previously mentioned, "pride" is the term for a group of lions. But, having no fear, or being fearless, is also known as being lionhearted .
Anybody have any thoughts about lions, other than Como zoo?
Hi, Never talked on line before. No time to chat-gotta work. Here's my take on this: Time/Tide=magazine, soap box Fun/Slide=playground or sled hill Woods= either literally woods or mabey Woodcrest dr by Mounds Park.
if you were hunting at a carnival, what would you be looking for? what would a carnival hunters pride be? somthing you won at a game maybe?
frosti, the fire pit at phalen was donated by east side lions club.
if you were hunting at a carnival, what would you be looking for?
loose women ?
Hi Mandy
nice ian! get your mind outa the gutter! did you see my earlier post? ooo, big joe!
yeah, gotcha covered
cool!
what would a carnival hunters pride be?
ooo, big joe!
one of the 93x guys comes in every now and then cuz I give him a good deal.
Okay, here is my take on the clue. "Time and tide" Tide refers to a river, either the Mississippi or Minnesota. Time refers to either a clock or something historical. "fun and slide" Slide refers to a sledding hill. Fun is pretty open for interpretation, since there are many ways to have fun. But playground is a good example of an interpretation. "Down the hill, far from the woods" I think this tells where to dig within the park. It's not saying where the park is in St Paul. "Show that carnival hunter's pride" Not sure about this one. Maybe it's just extra with no meaning, only there for it's rhyming. "And you may trip over the goods" This says that it will be on the ground, out in the open. It won't be up in a tree, under a picnic table, inside a tree or garbage can, etc.
I gotta hit the shower, then I'm off on my morning park tour...still haven't decided where to go tho.
Ian, are you naked?
Good to know ll, thanks!
not yet, why?
just checkin! :o
Hi, Never talked on line before. No time to chat-gotta work. Here's my take on this: Time/Tide=magazine, soap box Fun/Slide=playground or sled hill Woods= either literally woods or mabey Woodcrest dr by Mounds Park.
I am still stuck on the first line pointing to Highland. It seems too obvious
HighTIME HighTIDE FunLAND LANDslide
Leela, before I head off to school, can you explain funland? Also, remember that there is a Highland Park area, could be referring to a park in the area.
Btw, morning LL and Ian and others :)
mornin kids, leelabell.
Last night Green was nooodling that the main words in the first line could be combined with the words in Highland
A FunLand is like a carnival where there are rides, games, etc.
state fair leela?
State fair is private land - won't be there
Anyway, the point is not the words themselves, but that they each go with a part of either High or Land
Hmm, I still am not sold on it. But then again, I don't know that we have enough to be sold on a certain park. So I say... wait till tonight's clue! Anyways, off to the first day of classes for me. Have a good day everyone :)
you too kids!
I'm off too, gonna be late! see everyone tonight!
just curious if it is talking about hills and all would it be Mounds Park :) secret might be out if thats the case. wonder if I should go ride my bike down that way today and see won't hurt to look. Your talking about Hills and the mississippi river it is near there.
?????????????????????????????????????????????????????????????
mornin' everybody! i see there's not been a whole lot of new noodling since i last crashed.
Morning Ares
I'd like to thank Mike for taking out the trash. Seems like this place needs cleaned up more often.
Carnival hunting van is off to Saint Paul...
Good Morning All!
I like the high land thing connected to clue 3, but I'm more inclined to think that's a way to get us to the wrong park early. The last time high ground was given this early, the park we ended up in was Cherokee.
Cherokee and Mounds - both high on the bluffs have moved up in my list of possibilities this year.
That is at least until something else strikes me or another clue that puts holes in the theory.
Happy hunting!
I'm off to work.
Yes, it seems much too obvious to be Highland.
Good morning all, nice to see you.
Mornin all!
40 degrees today!
The park is waiting for you!
Sorry, I haven't looked back at what was said last night, but I thought I would provide my opinion anyway. I will read more later.
What about winter sliding. Like snow hill. I was thinking Battle Creek park and the sliding area. They have plenty of hills and trails for your leg work, and there is plenty of woods to stay away from. The other benefit is that the sledding area is lit most days I think.
Just a few thoughts.
Random, idiotic thought before I leave:
Could it be Cherokee, so that we can have the 5th Annual re-Hash bash where it originated?
Nah, I didn't think so...
Good morning all, nice to see you.
something kinda ironic about that line, leela!
the only good leppard, marley is a def one. def leppard rox.
Highland doesn't have a "down the hill, far from the woods area". I scoped out Highland quite a bit last year, and the only down the hill takes you right into trees.
At least from what I can remember.
"Im hooked on a feelin" we will be going from park to park till the 12th.
Im out to the parks, my coin awaits , and some pics.
BBL scdd's (sweet cooler day dreams)
Are you all ripping on my tag line? :)
Anyway, if I can't actually see you now, I am sure I will be seeing you soon.
Hey all
not in the least, leela. what do you think's blasting into my ear drums right now? of course given that the raven flies on the 4th sunset...
Hey all I am way into this hunt and have been told about the watercoller thing from a hunting comrade last year now I am starting here how does this "watercooler" work?
I wish I had music blasting in my ears right now - it would wake me up. I hope we have a nice sunset on the 4th day.
Hi Jim, welcome aboard. You seem to get the idea - you post your question or comment and we all chime in.
well, jim, welcome to the cooler. basically we just sit around in here and noodle the clues. toss around ideas for where it might be hidden, etc. of course there's only one person in here who's actually found the puck, probably because the rest of us spend more time chatting than digging! lol!
Hello all I am here again, checking in from work today though.. The clues are sure not helping much... I was reading through all the posts last night and I am still with Green on this one I like Highland. Took a drive out there yesterday there sure were a lot of kids sledding over by the water towers.. I can't see them putting the puck there and have some kid turn it over and find it.. However Highland has a lot of areas where it could be hidden..
Mornin' everyone!
Phillip, I don't like Highland because as I recall, the sledding hill begins on the golf course.
LOL who is the lucky person with the real experience? what year? this is interesting. anyway
maureen hursey, she goes by that name on here, she and her brother found it in chair-o-key in 98.
morning, dal.
The clues have mentioned the word "time" twice. Although the med's not at harriet (because the rules say so), there is a sundial at Harriet. Anyone know of another park with a sundial or big clock?
Cherokee was my closest i think it was everyones closest. there were more people in that park that day. It was good that year so whats the thoughts this year? I see alot of you all looking to highland. it is interesting we are so stumped at clue #3 there has to be something here.
anything at Mounds Park? it's been mentioned wonder if tonights clue will help in that won't hurt to check tommorow for sure.
nope, jim, a lot of us were a lot closer at conway. i for one sure was. of course there's always terry's earmuff incident on the capitol mall. lol!
What a nice restful night! I got to sleep at 10:00, and it didn't even concern me that a new clue was an hour and a half away. This is step one in the 12 step program I'm going to write about.
Time and tide, fun and slide...is there a park with a wave pool and a water slide?
who are you and what did you do with steve? 12-step program. keep it away from us! lol!
Did somebody say 12 steps? 12 steps from what, did I miss a clue?? lol
Step 12 is to just walk into the park on the 12th day and pick it up ala Aaron Niedorf.
Let me see you try that after the 7th or so clue!
FAIL!
Your hooked and no 12 step anything will help you or us!
and if the prize were 12 grand, steve, you'd have a decent 12th step!
Mornin' all!
Marley..I didn't say it would be easy. These 12 step programs can be hard.
Morn..THX
Good Morning !! Any new noodling pointing to COMO??? It all seems to be SPOOFING me!! although.....Tide and time could be relative to high and low or upper and lower afton which borders BC....plenty of deer to hunt there???
Good approach Rust! I like that.
Ok but i say drop the program we could use your help.
Well, I'm probably failing each minute more I stay on the board. Addictions are hard to rid. Maybe I better move out of the state?
if you want a 12-step program, go for it. in 9 more days.
Okay anyone wanna work with me here I am thinking pwderhorn park, with the whole pwder horn and hunting thing. Cedar ave is a tree thought and Ummmm Welll theres water there. any more help I am jsut working here
isn't powderhorn in minneapolis?
THG the real question is....isn't most of BC woods??? So what would the furthest point be from the woods....that is if we are talking the BC that is in st. paul and not in maplewood!!
I think you're right on target Jimbo...grab your shovel and get down there!
Zone 3, Rust.
According to my clue by clue analysis since 1994, Clues 1-3 have only revealed that it's hidden in a St. Paul park, general landmarks (ie woods, pond, river), and what it's hidden in (ie, bandana, Skoal tin). Never streets or the park name.
Well Now dont I look stupid LOL your right podwerhorn ist in St.Paul Its early guys forgive me on that one Please???
The maplewood portion would be the Brow knitting high portion away from the hills.....BC is like 864 acres
Jimbo...I've got a book with your name on it.
oh,,,,,,,,,can't wait 2 get out there digging!
Five of nine times (since '94), Clues 1-3 have hinted at the object it's hidden in. I think "knitted brow" means the med's in a knitted hat or headband, and nothing more.
You're probably right Dalliance.
Just my guess (hope) Highland Park
agree dall
You mean we've been overthinking this MD? Ha!
Maybe Tiger...don't rush out to dig yet though.
Guide,
I hate to admit it, but I left my guide at home this morning. Do you think the twice-mentioned word "time" refers to a landmark like a sundial or clock? I know the med's not at Harriet, but there's a sundial there. Can you recall if there's a sundial or big clock at another park?
Buenas Dias, 'Cabazas!!!
I'm off for a while...be back later.
Dal, the last time we had 2's... Was Chair-O-Key! :D
Hi Green!
I am going nut's,,,,,I wanna dig,,,,,won't even have to dig,,,,hardly no snow,,,,a rake will work this year,,,,,so far anyhow,,,,,,going to do drive throughs during lunch break though!
THG...is your book @ bound to be read on grand?? I purchased on last year at the other bs on grand further west...I cannot find it now...will have to go and get another!!
Okay, I am on a crappy computer at this school, it is killing my eyes, so I can't go back and slog right now. I was wondering what everyone's thoughts/beliefs/speculations are now that clue three came out. Thank you.
Randy,
I got my guide at Ruminator on Grand.
Hari-kari's looking pretty good, Rush...
JOE!!!
Battle creek is a St. paul park, so if the coin is at the aquatic part of BC(maplewood) technical that is still a St. Paul Park!
My take....the clues on the surface to me say como...but why?? are they messing with us???....I have a feeling for Battle creek based on a few things but I am trying to jones a street name or two right now...
by the way,,,,,the clue writer is not very smooth this year,,,,must be a new writer,,,,
Good morning all,
I am still with Battle creek park. Confirmed that there is a aquatic center over there (tide), hills, and woods definitely. Sledding hill(slide), and tons of trails for walking. I liked rust's link to upper and lower afton. I think it works well with tide also.
Lots of things fit.
Anyone agree?
LOL - Thanks Green, I have no idea what that means. I hope you really aren't referring to Harry Caray.
Marly, BC's divided... Part's in the city of St. Paul and part's in the city of Maplewood. Clue 1 specifically stated a St. Paul park.
Would only be in the western part, the St. Paul part, o'BC.
Jok...I AGREE!! I am digging your take on it all...it actually is giving me goosebumps!!
just a thought,,,,,,,,if it is a new writer,,,,all our clue past experience could be no good,,,,,could go a total different way,,,,what are your thoughts?
green, even though it stated st.Paul park, when you look up battle creek park they include it in both st. paul and Maplewood.
this would be a way to extend the hunt if you think it has to all be in st. paul? thoughts?
Rush... Hari-kari was/is sumkind'a Japanese suicide thighy...
Joky, i like your noodlin on BC.
Tiger, as much as I hate to admit, after spending a few hours analyzing the past 8 years worth of clues, the writer may be different this year.
Rust - i think BC is a fit, can't wait to dig!!!!!! Ahhh the madness.
Really need to do some work. Can only noodle a little longer.
The med has been found on the maplewood side in the past...BC is a st.paul park and rec park...all of it...i know they had problems with maplewood (city) in the past when a maplewood park was dug up...it is a st. paul park though.....
Clue One says, "St. Paul Park."
Will not be in a park in Maplewood. Only St. Paul. Thus, The Med cannot be hidden in the eastern (Maplewood) section of BC.
Now, that's not saying that things in that section would not be referred to. Just saying The Med will NOT be hidden in the eastern, Maplewood, section o'BC. :D
I agree randy
yea,,,,I really think it is a new writer,,,,,,,,posibility that lack of experience could give us more info fast,,,,by not knowing??? maybe we should start???
I will have to run to ruminator and get another book!!! Maybe I will call bound to be read...it is closer....see you all at BC!!
I think the clue writer IS different. The first clues haven't flowed like the year's past. Even had difficulty with the first clue being so choppy. Just a thought that things might be different this year. With less snow, harder clues are probably the ticket to a longer hunt.
Maybe it will be my lucky year. I was thinking Battle creek even before the first clue came out.
Then again... I must be feeling the cold medication kicking in....could I ever get so lucky as to find it. The fun is in the HUNT>
technical still st paul park
BUT GREEN BATTLE CREEK is a ST> PAUL PARK....ALL OF IT!!
Hmmmmm,,,,,I gonna dig a little tonight,,,,,,just in caase
Also, don't forget the 26th and 27th big, international x-country ski thighy that's going to be going on at BC...
Doubt they'd want thousands o'Hunters knocking over those poor folks on skinny skis while we dig for The Med.
I doubt BC.
jok, i believe the water park is actually in the maplewood half of bc.
None of us will be digging if all the snow melts today! More like scraping/scrounging/poking.
I know,,,,,,I am soooooo excited about the lack of snow!
I doubt bc to green, but dont rule out anything yet and dont read to far into the clues.
Whatever, Randy.
Gotta get under water... GORGEOUS day out there! Got interviewing to do - should get some way Cooler shots! :D
agree green good point!!
'K green, just so I understand, we're talking zone 1 of BC is out of bounds due to the St Paul Park stipulation?
Where exactly is the St Paul border in BC?
I live in the section of Maplewood that hosts the eastern part of BC and I often get mail addressed to Saint Paul. I don't know if anyone cares, however, if this is the case, since the Postal Service considers it part of Saint Paul, why couldn't we expect the PP to do the same?
McKnight road.
West o'that is St. Paul, the Battle Creek neighborhood.
East o'that is Maplewood.
Green - you are right on, on excluding BC.
So what is green and ares thoughts??
We're talking physical city government jurisdiction, Otta. Not ZIP code divisions.
Its clue 3 you cant exclude any park right now except for jakeys Hariet
mind, you can pretty much address anything to st. paul, and it'll get where its supposed to be if the zip is correct (assuming a 551 zip)
Green, I know you're talking that, but I do not see anywhere that the Pioneer Press has specified the same. You're just making that assumption.
gotta get to work. Noodle more later.
take care all.
Have a great day.
bye jok!!
ok is there a doubt in ANYONES mind??? Battle Creek FOR SURE!!!
I think next year they should do the clues in limerick form. That'll make this all more enteretaining.
I think the ski race thingy is a very good indication the puck won't be there (in BC).
well, rust, i don't actually have any decent thoughts on this, beyond possibly that its in something knitted or in something branded "no fear", or the big us bank 1 is visible from the treasure site. that's pretty much been the extent of my noodling.
lee- what ski race?
Stepp - you might have to slog, but Green told us last night there is a x-country ski race there this weekend.
What about all the stuff at Como last year.
green posted something about a x-country ski race at battle on the 26th and 27th. so, step, what's pointing you to battle?
if the temp stays 40 plus...they will postpone...good point though
Time and tide "wait for no man" Old Man River?
Trip over the goods "fall" Hidden Falls?
Thoughts?
Is there a product on the market called Time?
Good spin MH...I like it
just the magazine or maybe a time capsule
Hi I am sweetie, I am new to this board and new to the hunt, my boy friend has gotten me into it and I am helping him with the hunt for the puck, by reading the clues and there were a few people talking about Highland and Battle Creek, and I think that my pick is maybe Battle Creek or Highland so guess we will have to see where it winds at being and keep watching. Those clues that talk about the hill thing seems to point to both AC and Highland Park, I could be wrong, but we will see!
only thing i can think of leela, is the magazine.
how a bout a watch or a clock...as in the med will be in a watch tin??
If Battle Creek is open west of McKnight, meaning in St Paul proper, there's still a whole lotta park there to explore
Yep, that is what I thought - a tide box is a little big, but you could wrap the puck in a page of the magazine.
Hound, thoughts: "A Time to Kill" was set in Mississippi = Mississippi River = Hidden Falls.
Randy - that is a good point, it could be in a watch box
Hi this Is Sweetie again in my post I misspelled The abreavations for Battle Creek, I met to use AC for Battle Creek! Thanks
Ares- EVERYTHING...I had an epiphany or something this morning and I am damn near sure...
k...In clue #2 I think they use the word "knit" and "use your brain" very carefully...and "working your legs" and "treking up hills together"
I think the knit and use your brain is a reference to '95 when the puck was buried in a KNITTED pouch out at BC...hence using your brain to make the connection.
TODAY, "time and tide, fun and slide"...they have a frickin water park out there. Obviously the tides aren't running because it's winter...but in time it's fun and slide!!
OK...stay away from woods? Across the street from the park...STILL BC, is ALL woods. so it's telling you which side of the street to stay on. I don't know...just seems to fall together.
What about a little tide box, like you buy in the vending machine at the laundromat?
Hello sweetie!
No "Slide @ Hidden Falls"
Could be in a small "Tide" detergent box...like you buy at the laundromat...
yes, a little tide box would work
I am trying to relate slide to hidden falls - there are cliffs and sort of small rolling hilss, but not really slides
deep noodling, step. i like it. and battle is big enough that they could give it away this early on.
Is there a sliding hill at Hidden?
Hey all, is it just me or is this thing gonna be over by the weekend due to the lack of snow.
Hey all, my ques. is why would they bother to tell us what it's hidden in. If I find anything in the park I'm going to look inside. It doesn't help me to find it knowing what it's in. A waste of a clue if you ask me.
The clue says, "slide down the hill, far from the woods." That doesn't necessarily refer to a slide, but is telling hunters to go to the bottom of the hill, i.e. toward the Mississippi.
Hey Ares, THG and all. Just up and headed to work. Thanks for the e-mail last night Ares. Took me a while to get it as my MSN access froze me out again for a couple of hours. Following is a copy of a posting I did on AW's site. I apologize for it taking up so much space, but hope it helps our (over)noodling and can be used in THG's 12-step program :-)
Good mornin' all, anyone. Clue 3 had me overnoodlin' last night/this morning. Clue 2's "time to kill" and clue 3's "time and tide" sounded like parts of a quote from somewhere (Time to Kill also the title of J. Grisham novel). So I went to the links section and just a general Search area to look up "time and tide". Didn't find what I was looking for but did find this site about Time and Tide called: BABYLONIAN PLANETARY THEORY AND THE HELIOCENTRIC CONCEPT Made no sense whatsoever, but it had a reference in it to "Occam's Razor" which AW has refered to many times when I (or we) start to overnoodle. I guess the joke's on me.

"Ockham's Razor ('Occam' is a Latinised variant) is the simplicity scientific principle proposed by William of Ockham in the fifteenth century that 'Pluralitas non est ponenda sine neccesitate.' In other words..."
There is a trait in Man, innate, To twist and complicate The work at-hand to be too grand; In effort — far too great.
But the measure of endeavor That the wise do tend to favor Is to see how things do cut up Underneath of Occam's Razor!
When things evolve you must resolve — You'll do-well to recall The simple answer is the best With all things bein' equal.

Ares- Also, there are sledding AND skiing hills at BC...
Yesterday it said trek up & down every hill if you have time to kill...today it says to stay away from the hill.
Well, the hills at HF could kill you if you fell, so you should stay away from them.
k...everyone post the park you qre leaning towards...just curious on where people stand.
Hidden Falls
battle creek, highland, hidden falls; in that order
officially, step, i'm still in the frog pond. unofficially i'm gonna go out and scout either battle or hidden today at lunchtime.
I don't think it is AC, but I think that it is likely that the city has the park defined either as a St pul park or not... only one city would be responsible for its maintainance etc... somehow I doubt it is split between two tax bases...
now if we went with the Cherokee park theory it does have a distinct small set of woods... all the other big clusters of trees are either down the bluff or near the sewage drain by the sledding hill... was really irritated yesterday that the small parking area that they have is blocked off... have another park in mind as well, but I keep thinking about Cherokee because I know the park so well...
well heather, i think that saint paul handles all the maintenance at phalen, even though half that park is in st. paul. the same thing probably holds true for battle creek.
cant we be reasonable sure it wont be at como this year? they wouldnt hide it there 3 years in a row, or would they?
no rest for the wicked
Amanda, it was only there last year.
I guess I am leaning toward HF, Highland, AA, Merriam, maybe BC and maybe Chair-O-Key.
Amanda--to refresh, click the blue number and it wont keep posting.

ares, I think you mean maplewood. Get some sleep
the medallion was at como in 2000 and 2001 wasnt it?
Here's a piece of an article of that ski race...it says "in st. paul"
The Battle Creek Ski Foundation announces the Ski Games at Battle Creek to be held on January 26–27, 2002. The games will be held at Battle Creek Park in St. Paul and will attract cross country skiers from local, regional and international locations.
wait...i must be a dork. hehehe
well, my point was specifically that bc would* likely be considered a st paul park...i always thought that the rules talked about a st paul park not the city limits...but i'm starting to feel like cliff claven here...i am only barely versed in the rules of this event...it's just my 2 cents in the end
That works too MD
BC is very large, but we also run into the fact that it's not ALL in the St Paul city limits ... guess it's worth taking 5 mins. to scrutinize the map and know where they are running the ski games within the park relative to the park size and other possible locations within the park where they could hide the puck. Of course, they could be tricky and say it's in a St Paul park, which BC is, and it may not be physically in the St Paul end of BC! Keep an open mind ... only 3 clues!
Step, Thanks for the ski info. That officially takes BC off my list.
Could someone tell me where Cherokee is? I have the rest of the day off..and I'd like to check it out.
Dall - Why?
My thoughts are.. BC,HF(my most fav.) HL,Cherokee..
Step, because I don't think they want a bunch of people digging up what snow there is when there will be a lot of competition skiiers out there.
Anyone? I'd really love to know how to get to Cherokee... please?
Dall - that's why the clue says "Down the hill far from woods" all of the x-country trails are in the woods.
Jennee, go to http://www.stpaul.gov/depts/parks
Is Fort Snelling out of the picture?
Jennee -- Go across the high bridge (smith street) its over in that part of town. Not sure of the exact cross street but I believe there is a sign.
Thanks Dall
Step, I did not know that. Thanks. Battle is back on, provisionally. However, it sounds like there's going to be a lot of skiers there. Would they want to double the crowd there with diggers, also?
