trying never hurt a person,... this is $10,000 dollars we are talking about..
I get exctied about any sort of free money...especially when it so simple to
find. I could be nicely rewarded by getting my lazy butt off of my computer and
just searching in any St. Paul park for a little medallion buried in the snow.
It's so simple. I don't even have to leave the city. Think about $10,000 for a
little effort and time. Chances are high. who cares if I am in the right park or
not. At least I tried. Plus, I will learn the parks better for next year!

Every year we read too much into the clues. We walk right over the top of the
medallion countless tomes. Until it gets down to the final clues it is like
finding a needle in a haystack. But it is always fun. The adrenaline gets
pumping and 24/7 everything is HUNT FEVER..Then the lucky finder claims the GOLD
and we are all down in the mouth until NEXT YEAR When HOPE SPRINGS ETERNAL that
by some freak of nature or divine intervention we will find the coveted

seem like the NY film crew has DEFINITELY done their homework on this and are
trying to present a fair portrayal of the hunt.
I see nothing wrong with a local film crew, I was simply stating that I think
it is peculiar that there is now a second group of would-be movie makers. As in,
hey - NAHF already came up with the idea!!

immediately return the medallion to the Pioneer Press, 345 Cedar St., St. Paul,
to qualify for the initial cash prize of $2,500 and $1,200 in groceries from Cub
(one $100 Cub gift card per month for 12 months).
An additional $2,500 will be awarded if all of the published daily clues are
clipped from the Pioneer Press and presented along with the medallion.
The Pioneer Press also will award an additional $5,000 if the finder is a
registered 2002 Winter Carnival Button owner and has mailed an official entry
form, postmarked by Jan. 20 to the Winter Carnival office.

first time I just sat and thought about life and the Hokey Pokey. IT really put
things into perspective for me.

purchase something. I will have to contact PP to verify this.

You can win without purchasing anything. You find the puck and get $2500. You
can't win $10,000 without buying and registering a button and without clipping
the clues out of the paper.
Anyway, folks were at Irvine because Trek (the company) is based in Irvine,

THG: Irvine's kind of a traditional starting point for me...don't ask me why,
probably just because the houses there are so beautiful. Anyway, for some reason
that's where I like to break ground each year (been doing it for 9 years now!).
Call me a sentimental fool if you will!

Hmmm...Irvine, CA...a stretch. I too am sentimental about Irvine. I lived on
Ryan for a year. A jewel of a park. Not a favorite of mine for a 12 clue hunt
though.

I would be highly surprised if it was ever at Irvine Park. The residents
there are highly organized and are very protective of their space. Party

Yes probably a stretch...but you can't pin down the location in the first 2
clues, so anywhere you put down your shovel at first is just as likely as the
next. We all have our superstitions

Did some shopping and some park scouting along the way. Ended up by Phalen

It did raise a question though...

my take so far;
#1 in st paul and possibly far and wide tells us to look in an area of town
that it hasn't been in yet.
#2 knitted hat/headban and possible 'A time to kill' a grisham novel.
grismham like baseball lives in mississippi, is a lawyer, was a state
representative.. could be by base ball field, capital mall etc
brow of hill is top of hill don't go down the hill
trek is based at Irving ca
work your brain by a library school
trek -star trek plantarium como elementery
why mention not at harriett could be by river or mississippi st/school
arlington cemetary where people who have ben killed are
