A.K.A.-"Raider Of The Hidden Medallion"

Clue#1=a large St. Paul park Clue#2=Park consists of hills-I'm imagining a
steap area.
This is clearly what I can see from the first two clues-Analyising the
history of medallion hunt clues, I conclude that they usually aren't that
specific on the first clue- the second clue gives us a little bit more detail of
the park but still is general information-we can eliminate parks but we cannot
decifer the exact park-this is usually what the clues want to provide-otherwise
it would be too simple.

My zoo logic doesn't help figure out the clue writers intentions, but I can't
shake this HI exclusion from my thoughts. Each year, some parks are never
considered, or at least not really even dug in. Why the concern for the
clue-writer? Was it really just an unusual hand shake agreement between the City
and the PP - to get the word out to the "dummest hunters" that even if the clues
point to Phalen from the get go, not to go to HI?

Steve - I'm thinking there was some concern of damage to that new park. I
hope that park is not off limits for future hunts though.
Often when there's been some renovation or upgrades to parks, the medallion

Perhaps the zoo was thrown in there to throw us off? The golf courses are a
given, but HI is unique and unexpected. So why not take something that is fairly
given as being off limits, that is within a park, and put it in there to make us
noodle it. It just throws us off the track some. Takes some attention away from
the HI aspect...

Ok how about this.....
Clue 1... as usual states that the meddalion is hidden and in a St. Paul
park... Nothing more than that.
Clue 2...knit means to cluster whether it is clustering string, yarn, or
anything else as in knitting a sweater and brow is refering to the edge of a
steep place...ie above your eye or at the upper part of a slope.
anyone see where I am going with this. one year the clue.. "Keep your eye on
the old guy going by" was given and had nothing to do with an old man it refered
to the devise used to lower boats into the river... double meanings people.

King Boreas ------ If you are referring to the reversing of the type out of a
black background, then, yes, your voice has been heard! I also happen to think
you have a very good point about black on white being easier to read. Being able
to actually read the clues is pretty darn essential to being in the hunt for the
Treasure....... PS ---- Being King Boreas, are you EVEN eligible to hunt for the
Treasure? If you are, then best of luck in this years hunt.

King Boreas ------- Either you have responded to the Reader Advocate twice or
there are two guys who think they are King out there wandering around St. Paul.
I also sympathize about the difficulty in reading type reversed out of a black
background. The quality of newspaper printing makes this somewhat hard to
accomplish......On a good day, it works well.....On a BAD printing day, its
anyones guess what the clue is, was, will be.
Consider your concerns passed on if you were actually referring to the
reversed type. If your email was actually provoked by something else, please
write again.

but let me tell you .. when i dug that bag with the shoes up, i thought i was
holding the medallion. i looked inside the shoes and nothing.. my poor heart
sunk. but i will find it in time. no worries. Cherokee seems like the right
park, but that would be too easy. It's too small. I think it will be in a bigger

Hubby and I just got back from scouting at HF. They are filming there today -
saw DDY, Trent, Green, Jake, etc.
Anyway, it would have to be around the parking lot area (zone1 and zone2) to
be there. If you start walking the path toward Crosby there are no landmarks.
Anyway, the clue could fit there if you believed you were not meant to climb the
hills, because the hills around HF are large bluffs and not meant for climbing.
