Just a quick note and I'm off to bed(maybe;)

LL- The new park you were talking about is called "Hillcrest Knoll" There's a picture on our site-on the 1/12/02 photo page-I think all the bugs are fixed. It's fairly large for a small park, could be a good candidate!

Allison-I liked the idea for the traveling trophy for your hunt, and a little hunt at the re-hash would be cool if you have the time, although it may be difficult not knowing where that will be.

I was driving my husband to work this morning, I told him about the spotters and how no-one has ever seen one and how this it is like the Abominibal Snow Monster Myth and about a spotter dragging Jake off to never be seen again. hahahaha - that is still funny Green!--I also was telling him about the CAMO crew how they are "hunters" and in my mind I picture them in there hunting camoflauge gear but he thought I was telling him they were "hunters", like animals not medallions! I had to explain that too. We were totally on different levels. He is coming with me on Saturday to McGoverns-

We could play six degrees of seperation. Everybody probably knows somebody who found the medallion if we connect by six other folks.

Just found out they want me to work a few more days next week until this project I'm working on is done. It will be cool to have the extra money but I was kind of looking forward to having the time for the hunt! Ah well, not much going on in the beginning anyway. Guess I just won't be doing any movie stuff during the day. I'll actually be looking forward to having some time off though as I haven't had more than an occasional 4 day weekend in over a year and a half.

Last year at the beginning they did a lot of interviewing about the hunt in general and what we thought of the clues that had come out so far. I suppose they might have enough of that from me already though so maybe it doesn't matter quite so much. Once the digging began, they had a cell phone number they were advertising here and elsewhere. If you were going out somewhere and wanted them to try and catch up with you, you'd just call the number and let them know where you'd be and when. And then once it got farther into the hunt, I think they just started following the crowds.

How long do you think the crew will stay on the hunt this year, do they have close to enough material or will they stay for the duration? Does everyone, outside of the people listed on the film's website, have the same chance of being on film. Also, who is releasing it and do you know when it will be out?

Sorry for the questions, I just think this was a great idea for a movie/documentary and would like to know as much as i can, maybe catch a glimpse of people I know or will meet. Maybe even myself ;-)

One more thing, all I need to do, in order to have my button registed officialy is mail in the postcard attachment with the button, right? Are any other forms like that needed?

"How long do you think the crew will stay on the hunt this year, do they have close to enough material or will they stay for the duration?"

I believe they plan on being here from the pre-dig gig through to the rehash bash. At least that was my impression, but at the very least they will be around until it's found.

"Does everyone, outside of the people listed on the film's website, have the same chance of being on film."

Hard to say since I'm not making it. Originally they went through the Cooler Crew posts from 99 and 00 and decided which posters they found interesting and wanted to include in the movie. But then there were others who made it in as well who were not contacted before hand such as the Camo Crew (being that they rarely if ever post). I guess it might depend on how interesting you strike them as being. Some people around here are real characters ;-)

"Also, who is releasing it and do you know when it will be out?"

That hasn't really been decided yet but they seem to have high hopes it will be someone along the lines of HBO. As for when, I'd guess at least a year since it's a small private film company and they have other things to work on as well.

As for registering your button, yes, just mailing in the card should be enough.

Penny, I would still like to know how the Devil's Den has helped you the past three years. Yes Ian, you could say you were in the right area if you visited every park. But there are people on here who I feel are great for various reasons. Their history and experience with the hunt, their passion for digging, their ability to noodle clues. There's a difference in saying you were right if you're at the correct park on the 4th clue, or if you're at the correct park after 100's of people have already began digging it up.
