Hi all, my favorite hunt was Newell because I was there on the 3rd or 4th
clue. But of course, I doubted myself and only came back when the rest of the
world was also there.
The more the merrier to dig with us - lots more fun that way!

Do it Leela. I'm going to bring a camera, and Tim was talking about bringing

Some messages back folks were talking like they needed digging partners - I
say, the more the merrier.
Now, about your desire to make a quilt, TMK - why a quilt?

Because she gets cold a lot of times. Thought it would be nice to keep her
warm, to have something I put a lot of time and effort into. Something that
could last a long time for us :)

Sounds serious - where does she live? Can she dig with us?
Are you thinking of sewing together quilt squares? You could take a
crocheting class and crochet the blanket.

Scribe Theory number One for 2002

it..)Margaret,Marydale,Mears(where I used to hang with punk rockers in the
eighties...Hey Huggie wherever you are!),Mounds(a favorite candy bar when I
don't feel like a nut),North Dale,Orchard,Prosperity(always thought it'd be cool
to find some cash in a park with this name..),Phalen(I hate this
park!),Scheffer,So.St.Anthony,Swede Hollow (Steve was right,it has never been
found here but I have dug here on many clueless occasions..),Valley(Allison and

I'm right!),Crosby,Duluth and Case,Desnoyer(what IS a desnoyer
anyway?),Edgecumbe,El Rio Vista,Parque Castillo(a garden there was designed by
Scribe and some girlscouts...true story),Front,Groveland,Harriet Island(by one

the house right(what you think is clean and what she thinks is clean are two
different things),the kids will be cranky(this is because you got them all riled

No kidding, true story.

My poor kids will be so bored now!!
Just wanted to tell everyone something pretty funny... On my way home from
grocery shopping I stopped by Phalen (It's close to my house.) and took a quick
drive around. In one of the parking lots was a Mini van with a Pioneer Press
logo on it and a man standing out side of it with a PA jacket on. I thought to
myself this mustn't be a sign this park would suck!I I am not implying at all
that it was someone scouting it out, like a spotter or anything. It was probably
just a paper delivery person or something. I just believe in signs and stuff
like that! You know like when you ask yourself should I do that' and suddenly
lighting fills the sky. (Call me corny.) Anyway that's it!

Good Almost-Afternoon-'Heads!
Snow Mommy, I doubt very seriously if MomPress would bee dumb enuff to have
sumbuddy out in a PP truck/van in a PP jacket hiding The Med. Like too obvious.
It was prolly just a sales rep checking an account/trying to get them to up the
number o'papers they take/sign up a new account/deliver buttons, etc.
Esteban! Missed you, dang! I'm with you about the legit, but really think The
Hunt will always stay legit. I think MomPress will see to that as well as
die-hard Hunters like the ilk you find in The 'Crew... The Hunt is everything to
us and so precious. I know I'll do everything in my power to see that it
continues for at least as long as I'm breathing!
I'm glad I wasn't hunting bock with you and Ter in the days o'the metal
detectors... I doubt if I could have kept from jumping those fools and choking
the living spit outta them!!!! I'da been rite with Scribe, dropping bottle caps
like crazy... At Conway I lit out after a bunch o'very TALL, very BIG, very
HUSKY young gentlemen that were up DIGGING on the ROOF o'the building that was
either the library, or by the library. They certainly weren't scared o'me - it
being like six to one... - but I musta shocked them! LOL!!! They decided there
was better digging to be had elsewhere and left... :D
My fav Hunt was Chair-O-Key, 1998... It was my first! You only ever have
*one* first Hunt!!! I've been in the TCs since '86 (with a short stint in
'82-'83). I'd heard a little about The Hunt, but thought it was all kind'a silly
and even a bit (ah-hem...) dumb. Then I just happened to catch a clue in The
Paper, and it grabbed me! I couldn't get it outta my mind!!! I noodled that
mother six ways from Sunday!!! From then on with subsequent Clues, spent all my
work lunch hours at Battle Creek, just knowing in my heart that's where The Med
was! I had The Clues aced! Yuppers! I was gonna find It in Battle Creek! LOL!!!
Then even I had to toss in the towel with the Chair-O-Key clue and "double
division." I went out to CP one nite, alone, and will never forget the beauty...
The fires, the sounds, flickering lights, muffled laughter and voices... It was
like being in a fairy tale.
Since then, I've lived and breathed The Hunt. Ittiz the most wunnerful, fun,
FANTASTIC adventure!!!

Oh yeah, you start negative. And if you somehow manage to get to zero or
possitive (I still say this is impossible), then you will be back to negative
the next day. Though, you don't get to "start over" with negative points. If you
are -99 on Friday, you are at least -99 Saturday morning, and sometimes worse
for the loss of sleep your wife/ GF lost over all the bad things you did.
