P.S.
It will snot be in a trash can... Been there, did that for my first two years Hunting...
EAGLE JOE!!! (with a 'squiggle' in da'middle!)
Saint... I'd stink about changing that name o'your crew...
You *don't* find The Med and folks will be saying, "Yeah. The Winter Wonders'-Where-Ittiz-At."
And a JOE!!!, JOE!!!!
With all the talk about a Scribe-lette before, I thought she was due :P
Good evening all. Boy it took some time to catch up on all that has happened since this afternoon.
How is everyone this evening?
Howdy, Joky!
Anxious, nervous, sparklies in my butt!
I was wondering if anyone had the website address to the year by year break down of where the medallion has been hidden and the clues that were supost to get us there. Thanks!
Well that works for an answer. Can probably see the sparklies well at night. :)
Looks like I should have logged in at dinner time, lots of discussion. Looks a bit quieter here now.
Snow mommy... Check out the bestest site!!!!:
www.coolercrew.com
Snow mommy, I agree with green on that one.
I thought the bestest site was www.tim_the_hunter_is_god.org ?
Nah, Joky. Can't seem'um. I yust feel'um!!!
Ittiz weird, how we get goining here... Sometimes mid-day, sometimes really, really late at nite.
If you're here late at nite, like the last to leave... You gotta remember "to leave a lite on" for those that follow after, or in the early AM.
And us coffee drinkers would shurly appreciate a STRONG, HOT pot o'coffee waitin' fur us when we open our bleary eyes and toddle over to the 'putter to check things out when we first get up...
And make shure the 'frig izz stock with ICE COLD COKE for the non-coffee drinkers...
If everyone has been taking guess at which park, long before the clues come out, I might as well make my guess too.
I say Highland. Hopefully anyway. I scoped it out real good last year with the earlier clues, so I know a good amount about what is there. At it is probably the closest park to my home, which makes for good late night digging and allowing enough time to take a short shower before going to work. Hehehe :)
Green is right on that one.
Kids, thought you weren't a posse member....
We're going to have to get back to being up late night. Cept eventually instead of meeting here late at night, it will be at a snow-covered park
Nice JOE!!!, Joky... The "650" one...
Look at that, I think I got a JOE! Right all?
Never done that before and didn't even try this time.
I'm not a posse member. I'm just a member of the Fellowship of the Puck
I would hope it were to be at Highland. It is close, but there is a smaller park which Green has mentioned, which is closer to me and I would prefer it being at.
Thanks so much Tim. I was also wondering if there was anyway to recognize you guys out at the parks. I have dug by myself for the past 5 years and I feel I am missng out on a lot of late night digs because my husbnd says it's not safe to be out so late by myself. (He would be with me but someone has to stay home with the kids!)
Joky, you got your "St. Paul Parks: A Treaure Hunter's Guide," by Steve Worthman?
If snot, hang it up, kiddo. Ittiz the definitive, end-all helper to Hunters.
Cheap. And he'll even autograph if for you!
I choose to hunt with only one other person. My dad. He is really the only one in the family with the same drive as I have. My husband thinks I am wacko about the whole hunt thing.
If he knew I was on the cooler already, he would probably flip out. Once the clues come out, I can never stop thinking about them and it drives him crazy.
I guess I will have to get my son involved this year. He likes to eat the snow. Maybe he will be able to eat the snow off of the right location. Maybe I should use his technique rather than the shovel?
Who knows. It could work.
Green - I don't have the guide, but I do a lot of internet searching during those weeks. Can learn a lot about the city if you know the right keywords.
However, that can also lead you down the way wrong path. The internet can give you information that even the clue writers may not know. Then you get really confused.
Snow mommy, there's a gazillion o'us that are quite nutz and crazy and very harmless.. REALLY! That you could hunt with/meet up with. Same for you, Joky.
Very harmless, but certifible. Yes. Difinetely.
Join us at McGoverns on the 19th and meet us mano-a-mano... Get to know us, then go out with the ones you're comfy with.
Look at that, another Joe. Too bad that Medallion hunt isn't on now. Tonight would be my lucky night I think.
Snowmommy, I think I remember talking to you last year about getting you out late at night to dig. You should come to the pre-dig gig. Meet people on here, make friends, get some digging buddies. If you're out during the day digging, look for Coolerheads. And as I think about it, if you're digging in a place where others are, you should be okay. I don't think that anything bad would happen with lots of diggers out. Someone would be too stupid to do anything where lots of people with shovels and hoes and other possible weapons are being wielded.
I am game for the pre-dig gig. I will have to mark my calendars. What time does all the fun begin?
The only thing that will keep me from the pre-dig gig will be my girlfriend visiting. But even then, I may try and bring her. Trying to relate to her the craziness and fun we call the Medallion Hunt. And would this be classified as the Devil's Joe?
Joky, if luck were based on JOES!, I'd have found The Med a billion times over!
Know what you mean about being "led a stray" by The 'Net... I've found more crap out there I've read into The Clues than snow pile on the hidden Med!!! LOL!!!
TMK - that was always my take on digging late at night alone. Only did it once, but wasn't worried one bit. Not sure anyone would have wanted to take me on with my pitch fork in hand. :) Nearly froze my toes of that night.
Note to self: get warmer boots for this year's hunt. :)
Not that this is a bribe or anything...BUT I have a cousin who works at Swiss Miss and I always have an endless supply of hot chocolate on hand. So maybe letting me hook up with you guys could help keep you warm, which would in return keep us out longer. Maybe it's the advantage you guys needed to fnally be the ones to get it!
This is my fifth year on the cooler, but last year was really my first year of getting to know the coolerheads in person. I had fun times with Green and Jake and Tim during the days and nights of filming. I remember late night digs with Scribe and Leelabell. It's more fun noodling with fellow coolerheads, cracking jokes as you dig, pushing each other on to dig more. Time flies when you're having fun.
Snow mommy, the swiss miss thing is a great idea. However for me, I think I would spend most of my time looking for a port-a-potty then rather than the med. J/K
LOL :)
Oh my goodness, must be getting tired. My jokes are horrible.
Sorrels. Only way to go.
I was digging at Phalen - the year The Med was moved to Newell? - and all by myself at 3:00 AM. And I mean ALL BY MYSELF!!! Snot another soul ENYWEAR!!!!!!!! And I was fine. Wasn't scared...
Snot with The Spotters circling around me like that...
Snow mommy's hot cocoa + Liquor Lady's pepermint schnappes =Some good late night digs!
I am going to try to make t to the pre dig party. I have t clar it with the hubby, because that would mean he would be home with all 3 kids. (Which I'm sure he wouldn't mind as long as he doesn't have school that night.)
I guess I better be getting on to bed. That early rising son of mine makes each day such a delight. Great days, but why can't he sleep in later than 6:30 AM?
Take care all. Have a great night.
Swiss Miss would come in PRETTY HANDY at The Fifth Annual Re-Hash Bash... (batting eyes seductively...)
Joky, I think we usually get going about 7:00 PM at The Pre-Dig Gig. But with all Cooler Crew thighys, ittiz pretty loose. Come when you can; leave when you gotta.
Palomino JOE!!!
It might be a school night for the hubby? Tell him to take the sacrifice for the team. You deserve a night out!
Ahh, the re-hash bash. I think I remember Scribe trying to find me a nice woman to hook up with. I pass that torch on to Tim this year. Shouldn't be too hard though for him, once he finds the medallion.
Kids you don't have to join the posse if you don't want to find the medallion.
'Nite, Joky. Sweet Cooler Dreams!
Howdy, Timmers!
JOE!!!
Woo Hoo, I get to get hooked up with some crazy 20+ chick who likes medallion hunting, celtic bagpipes, and collecting old nazi machine guns!
I'm more apt to call it a Fellowship of the Puck, in honor of the movie out and the book which I recently finished.
If you get hooked up with them, you'd be doing better than me. I got hooked up with nothing last year. But I'm not complaining now :)
Is that Lord Of the Rings Jargon? If it is you are out of my posse.
It all worked out then eh?
palimino JOE
What are the requirements for being in your posse?
I am pretty sure he deserve a reak from school soon so I as thinking in a couple of weeks he should take a few days off and just study at home, while the kids are napping and when I'm not picking his brain for ideas and thoughts. Actually that reminds me I have to stock up on Pot-pies, frozen pizza and Mac-n-cheese so the family can eat during the hunt, usually I am to busy to cook, clean and so on.
I don't know, but you are in because I like the way you hunt. Plus ittiz really your idea, you said you were gonna follow me so you could get the medallion before me. IT was probably sarcastic, but all sarcasm is lost on me in these boards.
EAGLE JOE with a rock
Yes, it worked out very nicely. Snow mommy, where does he go to school? What's he studying? how old are your kids? What started the Spanish Inquisition? What is the speed of an African swallow?
The average air speed velocity?
Tim, I think you're cool. That's why I may seem like I pick on ya, but I'd dig with ya, and not to find the medallion before you do.
Kids, you are quite possibly the coolest person I have met digging. I pick on you because you are short.
I feel like I should do my best Yoda impersonation. "Judge me by my size, do you, hmm?" And with a compliment like you gave, perhaps I shouldn't find the medallion this year, so I don't lose that sentiment ;)
so we gotta get posses now?
TMK A. A computer schol in Roseville B. Computer networking C. 9 boy, 7 boy and a girl finlly who wil be 2 in Febuary. (And yes I was out digging 2 years ago 9 months pregnant!) Give me some time on the others, I had a long night and Chuck E Cheese with the kids and I still can't think straight.
9 months pregnant? Now there's a true coolerhead for ya! Too bad you didn't give birth there at a park. "Yeah, and after you were born, we had to pry the shovel out of your mother's hand, she wanted to keep on digging!"
I want to go to Chuck E Cheese
Do you remember talking to me last year Snowmommy? Or not? Oh, and another JOE!
Jake Inge has already put in 50 hours this week with a 16 hour day yet to go tomorrow, anyways, thought Id give a little WHASSUP! to fellow hunters, I have a gut feeling that Steve Worthman, Tim Petrie, and Jake Ingebrigtson will be the 2002 finders.........
lets go to chuck e cheese
Is it official yet or do we still have to wait for the formalities?
Howdy Jake! Doesn't matter how much you work now. Matters only when the hunt is afoot. And I do hope that a true Coolerhead finds the puck this year
By the way, PROKART Indoor Blaine opens at 11am tomorrow......
Maybe we can organize a parent-friendly pre-dig gig for at Chuck E Cheese? ;)
Howdy, Jake...
POOP ON YOU!!!
I'm gonna find it!
SNOW MOMMY!!! THAT WAS *YOU* AT CONWAY!!!!!
I should have found it that year just for the effort. But after trying to hunt last year with a baby and a 8 and 6 year old I would rather do it pregnant!!!!!! This year I promised them an X box if we find it so they are more pumped up. I have stooped to bribery as a parenting technic during the dig...and that is OK with me!!!!!
You have to dig in the right park in order to find it Green. By the way, put your damn phone on the hook!
Green, I was there. And couldn't hardly be missed.
ITTIZ ON THE HOOK, 'Bretson!!! I'm on the confuser!
Should I get off? (The phone... That izz....)
Yes get off, I need to call you and tell you something.
Snow mommy, I'll dig with ya. I'd probably play with the kids as much as dig. I'm a sucker for kids. If I find it, they can come over and play the new Xbox I get. If Tim finds it, they can go over to his house and play the Xbox he gets for us to play with.
WELCOME BOCK, SNOW MOMMY!!!!
I looked all over for you at Conway... Couldn't find you. But, then there was a crowd... Big enuff to hide a big tummy...
TMK are you n AOL?
Getting off.
The phone, that izz.
PALOMINO JOE!!!!
I got a PS2 ittiz the shiz
Why yes, yes I am on AOL. Are you watching me? *looks around*
Tim, you've been holding out on me?!?!?
GTA3 is the best game ever invented, and no you can drive to cottage grove and play anytime you want
Good night all, going to bed everyone.....
Did you go to Park? Did I ask you that?
Yes I do remember. My quietness has kept from actually going to any of the cooler crew events. For some reason it just weirds me out to walkup to people I don't know and say "Hi I am Snow Mommy!"
I go to park, ima junior
Snowmommy, we know you, but we don't know you. I loved going up to people, them ask who I was, and them reply "You're ThoseMedallingKids?" It's neat meeting people and seeing who they really are. So you must come to the pre-dig gig. No ifs, ands or buts about it.
Tim, I won't hold it against you that you go to Park. I went to Sibley, and you were in our conference. Not any more though. Palinjoe jet?
My kids bought me a cow pooper scooper for Christmas this year. Along with a light that straps to my head. The cow pooper scoper is SO cool, Iknow t sounds weird but we tryed it out and it seems like it might be the best tool I've ever seen. I'll show it to you all and you will go buy one I swear!! Fleet Farm sells them. (And No I did ot try it out with cow poop.)
Sibley(trying not to laugh), yeah thats a quality school. They got sick of getting beat by the big three.
Nothing says "I love you mom" like her very own cow pooper scooper.
Hey, is it any wonder that a small guy went to a small school? ;)
JAke also went to park
Cottage Grove has a strong tradition of medallion hunters, Jake could probably tell you about it.
I know they are great. **sigh** I think they had some help from their Dad though or I probably would have gotten an X-box.
Izz this a Cooler about schools, or The Med Hunt... Hhhuuummm???
Really, ittiz fun talking about things like that sometimes ;)
They would have bought you an Xbox? Are you a video game junkie?
Green did you go to school, did they have schools, or even the concept of schooling?
Tim, you know Green had to walk 10 miles through 4 feet of snow, uphill both ways, in footwear that weren't sorrels, when it was -40 out and they didn't have heaters back then.
Mommy, quit it out. I looked ALL OVER FOR YOU at Conway!!! Could SNOT BELIEVE a woman 8 months p.g. was out hunting with such fervor!!!!
Hie thee to McGoverns (Hubs and kids allowed; we've had wee ones still in those rocker-thighys...) on the 19th.
Besides, we need to meet The Kid That Dug For The Med In Utero And Made His/Her Debut Shortly After!!!
TMK forgiv me if this sounding really odd but do you like Billy Joel?
Green, I believe if I remember from her post, it would be a girl :)
Green are you going to DIG this year?
That is a strange request Snowmommy. Do I look like a piano man? I didn't start the fire, really I didn't. hehe, yes, I like him. Why do you ask?
15 days guys, 15 days!!!!
Green... you are encouraging me to bring the kids and all?? Wow you haven't spent much time with a 9,7 and 2 year old lately have you?
You haven't met me yet though! What are the older ones into? Does the younger one like Barney, Blues Clues?
wow green you seem to have changes handles.
airplane joe
Kids, that's got to be the BEST line ever:
"Nothing says "I love you mom" like her very own cow pooper scooper."
School o'hard knocks. Though, actually, I proficencied outta my first year o'college English (NOTE: I did NOT mention 'spelling...'), and was begged to be on the debate team.
Majored in agriculture, with a minor in horticulture... I liked to hort around... LOL!!! Bock *then*, you couldn't major in horticulture like you can now...
Wanna hear about hog/corn ratios?
No I am not a video game junkie but they would like to be, if I let them. But I will admitt to getting pretty into Diablo II.
TMK are you -out of your mind-?
joe
My little one is into Barny and Elmo and Little People. I love havng a girl!
Not clinically diagnosed as out of my mind. Ask Green or Tim. Then again, maybe not... ;)
15 days
Timmers, maybee I'll dig. Maybee I'll kick snow around. Maybee I'll AGAIN tell YOU you're diggin' in the wrong place. (Should'a listened to me, boy-o!!!!) Maybee I'll piss and moan about the cold some more.
Who knows?
("The Shadow Knows...")
Snowmommy, if I see your littlest, I will try to do my best Barney and Elmo impersonations :)
You say all that Green. And still, Trent wonders if he should come out for this hunt? What is he thinking!?!
TMK I must have been wrong because who I though you were just signed off. (From my buddy list. I haven't updated it in a while.)
Heh, no Snowmommy. I don't think you would know who I am on AOL. I don't have this handle on there. I have a different one :)
Mommy, Kids is harmless. Certifiable. Yes.
But very harmless. He really is a love; nice guy. Works with kids daily... I note he didn't tell you that.
Yeah. Bring the kids, but Hubby's gotta come and watch them with Kids!!! LOL!!! You're gonna be mingling with The Cooler Crew!
(Kids will bee2, but will take time out to play with the kids...)
Green, whatever you are drinking, you better give me a sip off that bottle. We were in the West Picnic Are the whole time with you telling us wwe were wrong. If you had pointed to the exact spot where the medallion was, I would have gone to dig it out to prove you wrong, and would have won. Looks like you dropped the ball.
I still am a kid. Can't take the kid out of ThoseMedallingKids!
My 7 year old inspiring professional Hockey player has practice in the morning so I better get some sleep. He will be entering the draft in roughly 14 years, right after he learns how to be an astraunt. He is so cute!
Bullshit!!!
I told Steve... AFTER I came to the conclusion you guys were rite... (eating a wee bit o'crow here...) that you needed to go up on the hill. Just up and a titch over, to the rite (as you looked up the hill...) as that was the point that was in line with all the clues.
Dearest Steve just laughed at me. I said, "Well, if I were gonna dig, THAT'S where I'D do it." And then kept helping you guys by the fire pit.
Well... Help kick the snow around. HELL! I'm OLD! I can't lift subbles o'snow!
Night Snowmommmy
'Nite Snow mommy. Sweet Cooler Dreams! SEE YOU AT MCGOVERNS!
Tim? Isn't it past your bedtime? Don't you have to go to bed? You need your beauty sleep.
Green I am sure you said that, but the problem is is that if YOU were digging it would have been in a different park. And JAke and I also pointed at the general area on Monday night but were too pooped. It is all "what-ifs" right now. I have a decent chance to make it a "I did" this yearor in the future.
Green you of all people know I don't have a bedtime.
I'll bet you dollars to do-nuts, Buster, if I think The Med's in a certain spot in a given area - say *the* area like the West Pic-a-Nic Grounds - that you'd hoot your way from here to Chicago and totally ignore me.
You're rite. Ittiz all water under the bridge. But don't go telling me you'd have dug in ANY specific area I deemed was The Mother Lode! Even if it had been 2" from your left foot!
JOE!!!!!
You are correct Green, I never said I would listen to you.
cause if you were that sure you would dig yourself
at least thats why i have a hard time listening to you, its that you are so sure about everything.

joe
I am tired SCD's all.
I was. But too friggin' lazy... And didn't want to leave you guys.
Still in all, as much as I feel... I tend to follow those that I think may know more than me. Silly me!
But...
Oh! I don't know. I knew it was rite; that it all fit, but I doubted myself.
I tend to listen to you guys telling me how silly I am too much, and not to myself and what fits...
OTAY!!! Granted! I was WAY OFF with the bus stops!!! I admit that!!! (blushing...) But when I realized that you guys were rite, I *then* should have listened to me and how everything lined up.
But I didn't. Laziness and fear of being made fun of even more.
Yeah. Dummit!!! You'd snot have made fun o'me had I dug where I thought you guys should have dug!
Oh, well. New Year! New Clues!!! New Fun Making!
'Nite, Timmers. VSCD. Dream where ittiz. FIND IT!!! A 'Head NEEDS to find it this year!
green...
Alone in a bar...
Where's Bee when you need/want him?
Leaving the lite on for those that follow...
Ian, some kind'a Jamacin dark roast sumpin' or udder in the grinder, with a fresh pot in a few. All yours until I git here later in the AM.
Jake tells me he got the PP to open up the cooler last weekend and now look how many posts there have been. This is the first time I've been in and I'm already way behind. I hope I haven't missed much, but I've been trying to redo Harriet Island in time to put it out on the Guide's site. In your leisure, see if your brousers can handle the large panoramic photos F,G,H,I,and J in the "Harriet Island Photo Collection" page. I got a new camera and I'm thinking of doing the whole site like this.
STEVE!!!!!! Miss you! Glad you finally got here!!!
Jakey's got rocks in his head. I *think*....
We've been open quite sometime now, much longer than a week...
Hay! Found my first THG, but now have lost my second copy... May have to buy a third????
Good to see you. (hugs)
The new Harriet Island photos are cool. I like the panoramic views, whole site like that would be awesome.
Palomino JOE!!!, Marley...
personal joe
joe joe
Wow...there were a lot of posts to read through..I'm tired now. Thanks Marley - The site will soon have an image map of the Island that will links to these and more photos.
...where's that reggae coffee?
JEEEEEEEZ!!!!! I go to work for one day and it takes me an hour to scan through all the posts!!! As to your question 300 posts ago jake,no I'm not in school. I'm a mom of 4, one is mine two are his and one is ours. one big blended family! you guys really should'nt make me laugh so early in the morning! not good for the laugh lines! was bustn a gut reading some of those posts! especially the one about snow mommy having her baby in the park clutching a shovel! 14 days!! 14 days! I need to dig!! I can't wait that long!
sorry ian! I must have drank it all reading through all the posts!
'Morning.
Awesome photos, Steve! THANK YOU!!!
It's good training for the future. In just a few days, there's going to be more than you can possibly keep up with.
Good morning, D.
I know! last year I didn't have a puter so I would go to the library and watch you guys talk. they only let you have the puter for a little while so I never got into a conversation.
Hi all - Green, Jake, Ian, TTH, TV, TMK, AIW?. I won't be able to make the pre-dig-gig this year because I'll be enjoying life in the frozen tundra of Ely MN that weekend. I hope you take some pix. I guess Trent and the crew will be there too. I'll need to meet with them later after I can get some Disc Golfers together for a shoot that was scheduled for that Sunday afternoon. I wonder if somebody might stumble across a job for Denny while looking for the Med this year :). See ya
mmmmmmm! maybe he could clean out the out door poopers by hand?
Sup Joe?
LL what are you doing up so early stealing my Joe?
hubby snores like a chainsaw!
nuttn worse than waking up thinking your in the middle of the chainsaw massacre!
Wait, TMK has a girl friend????!!!! Do tell. Did you meet her last year on the hunt? And, Scribe is preggers? Do I have that correct. Wow, lots happened in the last 12 months.
Same with my wife. I seen a comericial last night for some spray called Snore Away or something like that. I guess it numbs the back of the throat similar to Chloraseptic. I had some next to my bed last night but couldn't get up the nerve to spray it into her thunder cave. Maybe one more sleepless night and I'll get up the let her rip.
yeah! I tried ear plugs once but they did'nt work, he so loud i could still hear it!
My hubby finally had the apnea test and got the C-pap. It was a little weird at first, but it works great now.
whats a c-pap?
It is an air compressor and mask that you wear when you sleep. It prevents you from snoring by blowing air up your nose at a rate set by a doctor so it is just enough to keep you breating evenly while opening your throat.
oh god! he'd never go for that one! was a marine and would probably make him think he was back there!!
yeah, i hear lots of men won't use it - too weird - but it does work for us - and I am so happy, I am sleeping through the night again.
maybe some night I could just cut out his tonsils!
didn't mean to scare everyone with that one! i'm really not that crazy!
am off to work, catch you all later
ps - there is a surgery to cut out part of the throat/tonsils that works for some guys
I keep trying to get me lady in to get the test but she refuses to think she snores that bad even after I show her video tapes. I find the best cure is a 12PK of Icehouse...For me that is.
Later Lee
Steve!! Those pictures are wonderful! I've been viewing them in another window while slogging my way through all the board this morning. Very nice!!
I am trying to stay calm....not get feverish yet...not miss out on a good night's sleep yet...
BUT IT'S ONLY 2 WEEKS TILL THE PRE-DIG GIG!!!!
hey! did you guys know that along with the $10,000 cub is giving a years worth of groceries! man! that will come in handy! 4 kids can eat alot of food!!
Really? Sweet.
I teenager with a few buddies can eat a lot.
I guess even if you don't find the med you can take the published clues to cub for a chance at a $500.00 or $300.00 gift card, i'll take either one of those too!
Well, it seems as though Harriet Island is gonna be one of those Parks where the clues could fit every year. I hate that type of park.
Thanks Terry. My biggest concern is that they may take too long to download for some people.
Now that I've gotten an even better camera, I may just reshoot all of the originals from two years ago. If your nostalgic, you may want to print the images that are currently there.
Perhaps next year, there'll be a new edition with a whole new set of photo spots on each map. Stay tuned.
There are many parks that seem to fit lots of clues every year. The trick is to figure out what would be obvious for a clue that isn't there for a particular park.
I don't know if I'm saying that right. Just remember, it's as important to think about what isn't being said in the clues as it is to think about what is being said.
An example would be water. If there is a big body of water (lake, river) and it's not in the clues, that probably isn't the right park - or at least not the right part of the park.
Steve - you have the fever! No doubt!!
I want an autographed copy of that new edition!
Me too. My other one is wearing off already.
I think I have lost my book. I will need to buy a new one. You know, Steve was sure smart choosing us as a target group, because we lose are books every year.
CAN WE STILL GET THE TREASURE HUNTERS GUIDE AT THAT BOOK STORE ON GRAND AVE?
LL - If you show up at the pre-dig gig, I'll bet that you'll be able to purchase one directly from the author - and he loves autographing them!
COOL! I'LL BRING MY OTHER TWO AND HAVE HIM AUTOGRAPH THOSE TOO!
I have two autographed copies....the first one...and the one I bought last year cuz I couldn't find the first one....which I found sometime during the summer. I know I have at least one of them handy for this year. I ran into that one just last night.
I actually have a file in my file cabinet just for the medallion hunt, it's got past clues, past hiding places etc....
I keep my book in there so I wont loose it
Warmest New Year Wishes- Happy 2002! Nice to "read" everyone again! I miss you guys! Just had to make my first mark in the 2002 cooler!
I think I gave my 1st addition to my sons step-mom. bummer!
I actually have a special spot for all that stuff too...except that it gets tore apart every year during the hunt and then afterwards I'm too sleep deprived to put it back correctly until later.
I started pulling mine out in november! oh god! I think I'm addicted!!
I prefer the term obsessed.
Whatever the term, it's obvious we have it. Two whole weeks before the first clue and here we are noodling already.
Howdy! Hey Steve,Me2,Terry,Timmers,Jakey,Clueguy and Lee!
I have to say you are all just crazy and obsessed and I will open a booth for counseling at the park for you all after I find it this year!
It takes one to know one!!!!!
I know you are but what am I?
whatever you say bounces off of me and sticks to you!!
Hi Scribe- I hear you are preggers and that TMK has a girl friend. :)
Goofier than I am if you think anyone is going to go get counseling out in some cold, snowy, icy park after the rehash bash!!!
Actually the real rumor is that I am pregnant by Kids girlfriends grandfather.I met him on Springer while he was posing as a human taco!:)
I dont know! I may need help when its over! you know that whole depression thing!
Yup,thats what you say now Ter,but just so you know "The Doctor is in" if you need one!
And:
The first step to recovery is admitting your addiction!LOL!
Who says I want to recover! I know I'm obsessed/addicted/nutz!!!
I like it this way!!!
To tell you the truth, Ter, we love you this way too!
::GROUP HUG::
::sniff,sniff::
I LOVE YOU GUYS!
Joe
I wonder what other rumors we could start here.

Okay,so I'm thinking about this gimmick thang.....I wear bells(not sure why but I have some) and Liqour lady wears pink polka dots! That way people will think they have drunken too much!
Just an idea:)
ok! so where do I find pink polka dots?
I will prolly wear my bright red jacket that is still covered in frosting from last year's rehash-bash.
HMMMMMM,just go to a fabric store and get pink felt and velcro!! Perhaps a little pink glitter if ya wanna be flashy?
I don't care,but I'm wearin bells this year!
Yeah Lee and I know a certain person that could wear a certain pair of scorched pants!LOL!
hmmmmmm! this could get interesting! i'm game!
Do it LL!
Lee,by rights of your name, you should really wear the bells....I actually have red ones!
I'm gonna bring my scribe(my namesake) and circle off my digging space this year!
We could all wear bells - do you think we could get the men to join us?
oh boy am i getting ideas! this should be fun!
So am I the only one that got hosed up here? I couldn't get back here for like 10 minutes!!
Marnin' Ter, Scribe, LLady, Leela... And whomever I've missed!
Nope. I couldn't get on for like forever! I thought someone was doing a search...
I can't believe ittiz only two weeks from 2day!!!! But, two weeks seems SO LONG!!!!
2 Weeks!!!
I'm glad to hear I wasn't the only one.
Two more weeks of normal sleep and then medallion fever will reach it's fevered pitch.
Baby step to Jan. 20, baby step to Jan. 20......
You know, Ter, every year you same the same thing and ittiz so rite... About what the clues *don't* say as much as what they do say. I always forget that.
PALOMINO JOE!!!
