You have my list marley. I want it back.
You'll find the coin in my pocket, along with that list.
B-DAY JOE
Highland
Hillcrest
Homecroft
Hayden Heights
Hazel
Highwood Hills
Battle Creek
Frost Lake
There is a lot of activity in the board!!! I got to catch up on my (slogging?) skills.
This is the joe I was waiting for green.
What's with all the H parks? Did you have a vision?
Smokin Joe
missed that one
No, Marley... No vision.......
Yust an idea. I was pretty surprised myself when I noticed all the "h's."
And most are Rec centers, too...
how can it be in a small park/rec center with this small amount of snow?
Because there *izz* a small amount o'snow.
Big, expansive clues initially; slowly narrowing down the park.
Remember Conway? Wasn't until like The Sixth Clue we figured out it was there...
18 days (17 1/2)
to train our brain
to strech our muscles
to begin the game
More like big expansive clues initially, slowly narrowing down the park, which is big.
If there was this amount of snow, and we knew it was at conway, it wouldn't last 24 hours.
Maybee... Maybee not.
The Capitol Mall's not all that big... Less snow than this that year.
It was found relatively early, before it was put back...
I think ittiz gonna be a small park and really hard clues. My take.
(Granted, ALL the clues are hard for me...)
JOE!!!
there's too many variables to rule out any parks.
So you see- right know we have only opinions and instincts, the real work can't start until the first clue comes out. But it's fun to speculate.
I hope ittiz in a small park.
I hope it goes atleast 10 days -its more fun that way. I didn't like the let down of Newell, things are just gearing up and bang it's over.
Huummm...
Maybee that's why it was Como last year.
If a big park, my best guess/hope/idea would then bee Battle Creek.
It all comes down to the clues, the clue writer, and a little luck
I think that I am going to find it either way.
Mmm I don't know about that...;)
But Marley... The Clue Writer's only human (and last year *female*). They've got ideas, strategies, plans, tricks, etc. "If *I* were writing the clues this year, how could I best confuse people?"
I know you all think I'm absolutely outta my mind, but I really think all this "pre-pondering" helps.
If not us, The Clue Writer! LOL!!!
The Clue Writer's thinking the same thing we are:
"Otay... Lettuce see... Not much snow... So, where's it gonna be? What izzit gonna be hidden in?"
But they're coming at it from the hiding side; us from the finding side.
But we're still still thinkin' the same thing!!!
Green,I agree! It helps us loosen our noodles, and hopefully helps the writer too. I think the clue writer is one of the biggest variables simply because she/he is human, like you said, with ideas, stratagies, and plans (and don't forget emotions)
IF you guys were/are the clue writer(s), what would you hide it in???
Like, here's a thought...
Jakey's all convinced Ittiz gonna be in a heap o'mud'un leaves, what with no snow...
Good stinking on his part and I would tend to have to agree.
BUT...
Given *that* [no snow; blend it in], me being me, if *I* were running this show (yeah, yeah, yeah! I know you're all glad I'm not!) I'd hide the damn thing in the biggest hugest whitest thighy I could find because NOBUDDY would bee looking for that!!!
If it was me I'd have a couple things in mind, but wait til the last minute to decide based on the snow cover. Something soft and white or something rough and earth-tone
joe
Tim, triples are lucky, make a wish on that one!
What is in a park?
Picnic tables(that has been done)
Grills
Firepits
Playground Equipment
Backstops
Hockey boards
Horseshoe pits
It can't be in tree I don't think( with the tree huggers whining and all)
Statues(also vandalism is a fear)
Trash cans(lets cross our fingers the clue writer has some foresight)
signs
water fountains
fences
statues
light posts
misc. buildings
big open spaces
?I thought that was yours tim.
Hmmmmm, I am just trying to open up my mind to new possibilities, them taping the medallion to the bottom of a picnic table was innovative and fooled everyone. If we can catch on to something like that, we will be home free. Because there are less drinking fountains that there is open space.
The best hidden izz the least hidden.
Boy, did I find that out when my folks "hid" a TV they gave me one year for Chrismas...
They stuck the unwrapped box rite out on the garage shelves. I never saw the thing.
Yes this would be a good year to try something like that. You could be on to something.
And...
gotta
GET THIS JOE!
So, everyone go to Green's house and tear apart the garage, it is on the shelf.
too many possibilities! I need a clue!
Leetle park, rite out in the open.
(Clue Writer 1? This izz Scoper 1? Do you read me? That damn green's tossed a monkey wrench into things! Check The Cooler!!! On to Plan B! Change operandi!!! Do you copy, Clue Writer 1? Scoper 1, over and out.")
lol
lol
green----------------------> You're killing me, Timmers!!! Too funny!!!
("Scoper 1? This izz Clue Writer 1. 10-4! Eye copy you! Plan B going into effect. The "Big One" going in large park, in mud and leaves, next to a trash can, on top of a snow bank. Clue Writer 1, over and out.")
Green- you're the Queen of the cooler!
(Clue Writer 1! Scoper 1!!! Spotter A, here. Do you guys read me? At McGoverns. Keeping eye on bottom o'glass. Am I to change locales? ADVISE! Will keep this [BURP!] freq open. Spotter A, roger-dodger, here and there, over and [BURP!] unner...")
PALOMINO JOE!!!
LOTS of posts, but I gotta copy this one concerning the Capitol Mall:
tim_the_hunter - 04:47pm Jan 2, 2002 CST (#429 of 464)
Some people call me... Tim.
It was found relatively early, before it was put back...
hmmm, marley, 420, smokin joe...might be on to something
...now if I could just get that certificate back !
Good Evening!
For the record - it was found VERY early that year. Yup. Such is life.
Good grief, all of these posts to go through. One thing I thuoght of. Perhaps they come up with multiple clue sets for various parks. These clue sets are for certain conditions. Maybe one is for a hunt with little snow, maybe another is for a hunt of a lot of snow. Maybe a small group selects which clue set they feel is the best for that year. "Nope, we can't use this one! That damn Green has it already figured out! Go to plan B!"
If Green has been correct about the clues all these years I am doing something horribly wrong. But, as long as she keeps doing it and they keep going to plan "b", then I will be okay. So, I hope green keeps coming up with Phalen.
JOE?
sorry tim. but i'll gladly take it.
I am hoping to be in the right park.
I am hoping to be in the right area of the right park.
I am praying this year we get lucky!
Goodnight!
too many msges too quickly i cant keep up
Man you guys gotta alot of jibber jabber on here you post wasters!! Just kidding.... The stuff about places to hid it and possible parks was good though.
Like.....What is in a park?
added---
Stuck for now!
Wait a min, does anyone know if we can change our font color this year. get back to me if you know how
And one last this here before i hit the hay, what is everyones "SIGN" like there color for hunting or special hat to indicate who they are, does anyone have one of those so i can know you when i see you.
The usual coolerhead sign the past few years has been some form of white on your arm or leg. A sock tied around, a handkerchief, a tshirt..... something white though to distinguish. And as Green said in a previous post, if you're not sure, just ask "You dig?". They should respond back similarly or with "I dig".
It's good to see everybody out here in the cooler, where is alisonwonderbra Green you have some good parks listed but just for the record I've been bzzy And ready to call the park
Battle creek
Also for the record I'm going to find it And I will keep the puck. To much work to just give it back.
Listen if it is a small park it will be found within 24hrs Just like Newell. That sucks a one day hunt is a joke. A small park will be sifted in a day! there are more hunters than ever remember Newell that park was turn over in 14 hours and there was plenty of snow and cold, that did not stop anyone. Conway was not that small nobody even touched the far end of the park.
But hey lets face it the clue writer is not all that bright, personally I don't think they put too much thought into writing the clues. Remember the clue I wrote last year? That was a great clue I still feel bad about those people who I sent to the capital mall with that clue.
Good morning, fellow hunters in waiting!!! I couldn't believe my eyes when I stopped by to check out if anyone was here chatting. Already over 400 messages posted and the countdown has begun. Starting to get the vibes and the shovel is waiting by the door. Hope the clue writers are better at their trivia than they were last year. Was disappointed as another year went by without a cooler hunter winning the prize. Will check back later.
I think capital mall is out, with sept 11 I don't think they want a bunch of people digging around there. Too risky.
Liquor Lady, have I met you before???
morning all. afternoon. whatever.
My kids (ages 7 & 9.) gave me the greatest Christmas gift this year...
a cow pooper scooper - bought at Fleet Farm EVERYONE SHOULD CHECK THIS OUT!!!!! This thing will be great it sifts through the snow awesome!
a light that attaches to my head, for late night digging. I've been nervous to dig at night because I haven't had anyone to go out with and I don't know any of you. But it will still come in handy for after dinner digs.
This is the 5th year I've done this but the first that I've had tools. I can't wait.
Hello all, good to see so many posts so early, let the noodling being! Good luck all!
I don't think so jake, unless you shop at my liquor store on white bear ave.
I am ready.
Ian, do you think I am real?
hmmmmmmmmmmmm
...let me get back to you...
It depends on your definition of "real".
I guess I did it now. I got censored (deleted) on the Twins board, but I still have my same log-in after five (5) years. Where, oh where, has my little dog gone? Where, oh where can Sloop be?
Who's gonna get 500?

Don't find the medallion early? Talk to Tim, he's the one who apparently is going to find it. We're just the supporting cast, making cameos.
Is this the medallion hunt chat, or the relationship hunt chat? Yeah, the two single ladies aren't single, but they didn't really find love on here, did they?
JOE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Clues, I need clues, can't we start it early?
Its the medallion hunt chat. I'll keep my comments strictly to that from now on. :o)
And to answer your question, nope, not on here.
We can start the noodling early. We can start the conspiracy theory early. We can start the paranoia early. And I think we already have ;)
Doesn't matter to me if we talk about stuff like that. It's nice to have fun like that at times :)
But I think you may have a point...there are probably a lot of folks who would just as soon not have to slog through the chit chat. And if I'm not close enough to them to e-mail with news during the year, they probably don't care to see it here, anyway. We can catch up over our shovels!
Hay, Eags! Nice to see you bock!
Howdy Kids, LLady, Jakey, Ian, Med 2k2, et al!
Eags, you getting censored ALREADY??? Gods!
What did you post now?
Stink we'll be using brooms, snot shovels...
You do any park scoping while you were here?
Joe!!! (With a do-nut in the middle...)
Heinz 57 JOE!
A donut in the sauce...
Green, did you check out that link? Any ideas what I should do with them?
LOL, at Ian and the '57 Joe!!!!
Ian, I've read Millet (SH & The Ice Palace Murders). I'm a big fan o'his. They're WONDERFUL reading!!!
It was sssssooooo cool to read 'The Ice Palace Murders' and kind'a picture Winter Carnivals from a way long time ago. Wish Sherlock had lived later... Maybe he'd have been involved in a Med Hunt!!!
Where is DDY? Bee? Ittiz? Allison? Mom? Dad? etc..etc..etc
Green: ygm
yn ne2dtd
LOL!!!
Ian, Ian, Ian! Eags izz fur real. Real smart, real funny, real pretty...
I'm sitting here laughing so hard! Remember bock in '98 when you and I thought the other was a MomPress Spy/Employee, planted here to take notes, get ideas, patrol, etc.? You thought *I* worked for Mom (The Wizard behind the curtain's shuddering...), and I thought YOU did!!!
Too funny!!!!!!!
There's been a billion great times in this Cooler.
Wonder what this year will bring?
Wonder what this year will bring?
good times, good chats, great noodling and hopefully a medallion for the WC!!
I have melded my work day's so I can dig more this year, 2 12hr days and 1 14hr! that leaves me 4 days a week to dig! I'ts mine this time!
Liquor Lady can hook us up with some stuff to have a good time I'm sure ;) Palinjoe!
MMMMMMMM! SOME PEPERMINT SCHNAPPS AND HOT COCOA SHOULD KEEP US NICE AND TOASTY IN THE WEE HOURS OF THE MORNING!
You people are welcome to drink... Jake knows whats up though, alchohol impares your ability to hunt medallions(or do anything for that matter). This (and the law) is why I won't drink alchohol during the medallion hunt(or ever). I would rather be cold. On the other hand, WHEN I find the medallion there may just be a party. I hope jim_the_hunter doesn't see this.
Liquor Lady... you own the store??? If so, email me and let me know where, I need to stock up on Jagermeister.
The time is nearing for the start
We wait all year for these two weeks
Anticipation brings a rapidly-beating heart
Our excitement may mean we're freaks,
but that matters not,
For we enjoy the pleasure,
Of hunting for the treasure.
I hope one of us finds it this year, I dont' care who!
sorry jake,I don't own it (I WISH!!) I just manage it.but i can still hook you up!! all the employees get what they want for cost so if you need something let me know!!(especially if you find the med!!!) or on the other hand, we just fired one of our guys and are looking for someone to take his place!
Rushmore - Very nice statement about the excitement may mean we're freaks. I was thinking about the same thing yesterday when I visited the cooler for the first time in 2002. I couldn't believe I was looking so early.
It must be an addiction. Every year I think I will just read the clues and try to figure them out for the fun of it. Every year I think I won't dig because it is too darn cold out there, but every year something draws me out to dig and keeps me out there even though I may have dug up every place I thought it would be.
I am not sure I am ready for the addiction to start again. Oh well....here it goes. ARGHHHHHHH
Hope everyone is good. Can't wait for that first clue. :)
Liquor Lady, you don't go to school then?
Howdy Hunters!
Can't wait for 2002 since I missed last year's hunt. The Cooler Rocks and so does this year's obvious site - Phalen Park!
Hollywood
Hey Dave,
I thought I missed you last year. Glad to see you're back.
Marning, 'Heads!
Jokysu, we start getting anxious Halloween with sumbuddy checking in here. Thanksgiving, few more folks chomping at the bit... Christmas, ittiz open the presents and check out The Cooler! LOL!!! And by New Year's, we're ready to pound down the doors at MomPress to make her git The Hunt underway! :D
You will find no one with obsessions here. (Wanna buy a bridge?)
HOLLYWOOD!!!! Missed you last year sssssooooooo much!!! Particularly your slingshot! Still got your slingshot? Be shure and bring all your toys to The Re-Hash Bash. You've got the neatest toys...
Hhhuuummmm... You think Phalen, huh? I wonder...
Two weeks and one day, two weeks and one day... TWO WEEKS AND ONE DAY!!!!
THE SPARKLIES ARE DRIVING ME NUTZ!!!!!!!
(Weird JOE!!! - with a two in da'middow)
Timmers, I'm with you... I'm horrible enuff at The Clues sober, gods only know what spin I'd come up with 1/2 punchy! LOL!!!
Don't think Brown would bee too happy with the headlines the next day, "Former Cod's Fiancee Arrested For Public Intoxication" accompanied by a Kodak Moment o'me dancing on a pic-a-nic table with a lampshade on my noggin!!!!!!!
Too, I thought we couldn't drink in The Parks???
I'm gonna take the safe route... McGoverns with a DD. Or your party with a DD!
:D
Green,
I too checked way back. I am so excited about the hunt this year. Too bad I don't have much time off from work to hunt. Maybe one of these years I will actually take the whole two weeks off. :)
Well maybe I will be lucky this time around, and I will figure out the clues and go right out to the correct spot.
What am I thinking......that won't happen to me. I was even searching the wrong park for awhile last year. LOL.
Have a great day. I better get some work done. Won't be working too hard in a couple weeks.
tims the DD, he has to drive everyone single one of us home!!!
god, too many msges, i cant keep up with people!! but last night i had fun, got my pictures taking with a manshow juggy!! hhehee
got my pictures taking with a manshow juggy
A what?
Marnin', JT!
If I'm guessin' rite... Our WW hit a "gentleman's club" (WHY are they called THAT???) and had a Kodak Moment with one o'the buxum women that was 'working' there...
Tha'da be *my* guess...
Work hard, Jokysu... VERY HARD. In two weeks you'll never be able to concentrate on work (the entire TCs should give all Hunters off as they're not worth Bo-Diddly at work during The Hunt. Who, in their rite mind, can concentrate during THE HUNT?????) one widdo smidgin'.
Holy crap. It took me all morning to slog through the posts from you fools. Starting b4 christmas, isn't that a tad obsessive?
Who would have thought we would have lived through all of this Sept 11 crap and be here in the cooler, for another year of fun facts and clues to the greatest hunt in the world. Well best of luck to all of you and here is where I think it will be this year....
1. Harriet Island 2. Crosby/Hidden Falls Park 3. Phalen
A big, Howdy There Jesus Christ, PalinaJOE!
ok something is very much up. i know my nic here is ares, but someone's stolen my other name? what's up with that? today has been a *very* weird day.
I am ready.
but someone's stolen my other name?
Really? I haven't seen anyone using "Princess Gwendolyn".
Very strange, indeed.
watch it jt, them's fightin' words :) especially since gwendolyn is actually my mom's name.
especially since gwendolyn is actually my mom's name.
LOL!
That makes it even stranger.
As if you two could get any stranger.... ;)
Ares is much stranger in real life than he is here.
:-)
Me, I'm just an ordinary average guy.
and you know this how, jt? sure there's that one pic i sent ya, but you still don't have any proof at all that i exist.
actually i was told today that i'm rather strange. something about keeping a post hole digger in my trunk for the purposes of retrieving lost frisbee-golf discs from the bottom of ponds on frisbee golf courses. there oughtta be about enough ice now to take tbe old boat and baseball bat out on too.
something about keeping a post hole digger in my trunk.......
It's worse than I thought.
but you still don't have any proof at all that i exist.
I don't have proof that I exist.
the post hole digger also comes in handy for hunting small blue chunks of lucite too.
Maybe I'm NOT real after all. LOL!!
Just a thought...here in the U.P. they give all the kids off school for opening of deer season, and its just assumed that all hunters will be at "Deer Camp". If you need your plumbing or furnace fixed during that time period, you are just S.O.L. This came into being because everybody empowered themselves to NOT be at work or school so they can be at Deer Camp. Deer season lasts a little over two weeks...does that sound familiar?
Medallion Hunters unite! If we just don't show up at work, en masse, they will eventually get the message, and the two weeks of medallion hunting time will be as a sacred holiday.
Yes, but by massing up like that, it cuts down the chances of actually finding the medallion!
You know you're a medallion hunter junkie when all your vacation time for the year is used up in the first month by searching for the medallion....
You're right. Its not like there is an excess population of medallions!
On the other hand, I don't think most of the people would actually hunt. They'd probably use it as an excuse to drink, ice fish, snowmobile, etc. Its the empowerment part that's important...getting your boss to recognize that medallion hunting time is as sacred to you as any other religious holiday.
Ahhh...hemmm (clearing throat) And it *may* contribute to being the first laidoff when the layoffs start...
But, thass life! Don't mess with me and The Kids; and don't mess with me and THE HUNT!!! (Jeez!!! Typed "hung" there for a momento... Holy Crow!!!!)
I think ittiz worth a shot, the enmasse (izz that the French spelling?) thighy. I've tried the honest approach - "Look, I've got to Hunt. Can't help it. I'm taking the time with no pay, so that's good... May as well, because if I'm here working, I'm telling you, I'm not gonna bee. I'm gonna bee NOODLING!!!"
I've tried the "Can-You-Believe-They're-Making-A-Documentary-About-The-Medallion-Hunt-And-The-Cooler-Crew-and-How-Many-People-Does-This-Happen-To-In-Their-Lifetime?" approach.
I've tried the Sicker'una-Dog-And-At-Death's-Door Approach.
I've tried the Take-Vacation Approach.
I've tried the Work-All-Day(trying NOT to Noodle)-and-Hunting-All-Nite approach.
I've tried the Working-While-Hunting Approach.
None work perfectly, all are so-so, and some worse than others.
It boils down to folks that don't have The Med Hunt Virus yust can't understand what the draw is and consider you positively ape-poop CRAZY for giving the whole Hunt more than a simple passing "Hummm. They're nutz," interest.
Somehow, someway we gots to get thru folk's heads THIS IS SERIOUS BIDNESS!!!!
An en masse walk-out should work. Then, when we're all fired, we can go start our Commune!!!!! :D
JOE!!!
P.S.
Hhhhhuuuummmmmm.... Yust caught your "religious" approach, Eags. Snot tried *that* one. And ME! That did the "Hunter's Prayer"!!!!
Thass my next approach. "Sorry. My religion will not allow me to work during my most very sacred - and hopefully blessed (with 10 thousand smackers...) - time o'year."
You know, if we *did* form a religion... NOBUDDY *COULD* FIRE US!!! :D
Hey crew--just slogged through the new board, and the Izzit Green or Izzit not controversy was side splitting funny. Nobody could type that way on purpose, except Green! I love the gal, but her posts are so non-linear at times, just reading them makes me step away from the 'puter. How could anyone impersonate that, and not need aspirin? Green, I'm glad you are, in fact, the one-of-a-kind gal you are!
Hey all! Yup,yup, yup it's that time again!
Santa Dave, where the heck are you? You sneak! I was drivin along Christmas Eve. mornin considering droppin coffee and donuts down at the ole radio station and lo and behold who beat me to it? I thought it was pretty great that it was you considering the holiday and all!
How the heck are you,Mr.Downtown Dave? Got your shovel sharpened?:)
Scribe!!!! Where the heck have you been!?!?!
Hiya Kids!
Been great! Really busy with stuff, but busy-ness is the spice of life!
How have you been?
Gotta...
GET IT!!!! YES!!! JOE!!!!
No
NO
No
Got it,however small and insignificant it is my first Joe of the year!
Nice JOE!!!, Scribe!
Howdy! WHERE have you been? How can The Hunt not take precidence this time o'year?
Whatebbber, you're finally here.
Where do you think The Med's gonna be lain?
Green, what the heck kind of Joe is that?:)
Never thought about it in terms of the medallion getting laid before...
It's elementary my dear Green,It will be of course in the frog pond at Cocoa Mocha!LOL!
Eags,I don't need that sort of mental picture!:)
I have been good. A lot happening in my life. Too much to go into here though. We can catch up on things during the hunt, or at the pre-dig gig :)
Sounds great,Kids! THX and I will be there with bells on......hmmmmmm,perhaps literally!
Randy Med.
Nice ring...
Scribe, bells would bee neat! Everbuddy could find you! Can we call you our own "Ding-a-Ling?"
LOL!!! :D
(Eags izz vulching for that six-niner...)
YOU GO, GIRLFIEND!!!!
(editing)
EAGLE JOE!!!! EAGLE JOE!!! EAGLE JOE!!! EAGLE JOE!!!
Green...how'd you know?
scribe what the heck are you doing here (hopefully keeping that husband of yours under control :)
OH!!!! CRAP!!!!! I'M SORRY!!!!!!
I dedicate my stupid miscalculation - I HATE MATH! - to Eags. The "Six-Niner" is given to her wid love.
I've certainly been called worse,my dear Green!
Maybe this year I'll wear bells at the park! You just gotta have a gimmick and someone already took the color green!LOL!
Don't be sorry...there will plenty more of 'em before we call it a wrap.
Ares,He's under my thumb!
Okay....never mind....this will definitely go to a bad part of your brain!
I was going through my closet and saw a hawaiian shirt I have in there. I thought of the camo crew, and how I could have a gimmick of being the guy in the hawaiian shirt. But would it go well with my hat?
Kids, what you need is a "Mystery Machine"!!
ThoseMedallingKids and the Mystery Machine, coming to a park near you!
I should get a dog and name him Scooby. Although get a smaller dog, for fun. And teach it how to dig through snow ;)
Eags, I went bock and fixed it... Kind'a...
Eags, I've lived with you for five effin' years. I KNOW what JOE!!!s yur after!
Some gimmick, Scribe... I mean, the 'green.' Ittiz yust me. Ask my fiends. There is no way I can get away from the colour any more than I could snot hunt...
This year's gonna bee sumpin' else... I'm gonna look like a Camo Krew wannabe... green, brown, orange... Gonna use Son's hunting suit - BLAZE ORANGE - to keep warm...
Stink they'll let me be their Mascot?
JOE!!!!
Yup,Green, you could be their leprechahn (spell check??) mascot!
And me I'm just stuck with the bells, but at least if I get into any trouble you guys will know where I am!
Hey,Kids, can me and my bells hooky bob off the back of your Mystery Machine?
You can be the Camo Crew poster girl
Scribe, you sure your husband is okay with that? ;)
DDave!!! Quit boppin' in and out and stay! How you been, boy???? Nice to see you bock!!!
I'll take your words as a compliment... I *stink* they were meant as such... I'm still noodling THAT! LOL!!!
I'm kinda interested in the snot huntin thing myself......
Not sure Kids,he's downstairs contemplating the issue of dinner.:)
Scribe... Oh? I've a premonition... A thought...
Scribe?????
Yes,Green?
Hey, I could go for some dinner. Tell him to make some for me ;)
Kids,he's not makin it,just contemplating it! I think I'm supposed to solve that issue,but I don't wanna.
Well, I don't want to bee rude or anything... Or nosey or embarrass you...
Ah... Like why snot Hunt? I can stink o'only one good reason...
Nice JOE!, Scribe. Ya got two.
CLUE 1 IS OUT!!!!
It could be here and it could be there I once saw a dear and it gave me a scare.
The deer talked to me he said "u'll see!" Fast as fast can be You'll never catch me!
I'll solve the problem for you Scribe. Order out for pizza!
im thinkin phalen anyone else?
I'm thinking I'm going to hang around Tim and get it before he does. Palinjoe!
Sounds like a plan Kids, piza sounds good!
Green,I've lost you, what would embarrass me? Rude? I don't even know what that would be like!
Phalen, my lord,oh god, please I beseech you not there!
Snot gonna go there, Scribe. Don't want to embarrass you or hurt you or anything like that. So... If you aren't a 'ding-a-linging' out in the Parks this year, I hope ittiz for a good, happy reason like I stink it maybee.
And if ittiz not, hope we can talk you in to grabbing some dogs at a fire pit, at the very least.
Okay Scribe I'll be over in a bit. Speaking of hawaiian, ham and pineapple! Just give me the directions! ;)
Anchovies.
Another Joe for me! And no anchovies. Yuck!
Do not beseech me for thou christ will beseech thee. I know where it is. Its in Phalen!
Actually on a serious note here. If you think about it. It has to be in a big park. After what they did in Newell on the 7th clue. YIKES! They lost so much money. So they will keep putting it in big parks. It can only be parks in St Paul. And Indian Mounds is off grounds now. So lets see where hasnt it been in awhile.
Harriet Island........wow hasnt been there in awhile. Then there's the almighty Phalen. I ask myself to not put it there. Please?
Oh NO Green! I'm definitely huntin this year! Nothin would keep me from that!
I was doin a word play off your word play....you meant snot= is not,I was bein literal snot=the stuff you sneeze out when you have a bad cold.LOL!
How'd "they" lose money, for JEZUZ CHRIST?
Ain't gonna bee Harriet with all the new work there.
You don't have to put it in a big park to have it go a long time. They can still put it in a smaller park, just hold off on defining where in the park it is, or be more ambiguous about the clues.
Oh! ROFLOLPMP!!!!
Thought we mite have a Scribe-lette a'bakin'!!!!!
THANK GODS you're snot wimping out!
PALOMINO JOE!!!!
Mr.messiah,I think that they will make the clues a bit tougher this year so we don't narrow down the park until the last couple, after all we don't even have enough snow to really dig.If this is the case they certainly could consider a smaller park.....and I HATE Phalen!
Green, you need to come and pick up my husband off the floor!LOL!
No,I have all the Scribe-lettes I can handle!!
I've been saying all along a smaller park would make it tuffer with less snow.
Glad to see udder folks on that band wagon... Was starting to stink Nurse Cratchit was gonna come for me...
Scribelette a bakin? Oh the things that can be said...
You keep comin up with Scribe-lette theories and I'll call her for ya!LOL!:)
Poor JT!!!! Sorry, fella'.
MMMMMMMM Scribelettes for dinner!:)
Okay, I'm lost. When is the next clue on the Scribe-lette coming out?
Partz izz partz!
I'm hungry now with all this gourmet talk! Goin for dinner catch you all after dinner and skating!
scribe i've yet to come across a part of my brain that isn't "bad".
I'm hoping for no snow for this year's hunt, I can bring my 5 iron and practice my golf swing! Who needs a shovel.
You need to practice your swing JW, I will catch ya next summer, LOL.
Good to see that I am forming a posse: med kids, scribe, and thx. I like it already.
If no snow I suppose it will be hidden in some frozen dirt.
If no snow I suppose it will be hidden in some frozen dirt.
I'm sure there's tons of ways to disguise the puck that haven't been considered.
Hi Scribe, ThoseMed, Green, and everyone else- Glad to see you all talking about this year's hunt. I am so happy to be here this year. John and I almost moved to the east coast on two occassions since last year. But, fortunately he found a job in the Twin Cities and we are celebrating. Can't wait to see all of you!!
Leelabell!!!!!!!! Coming to the pre-dig gig? Or will it be twilight meetings in a park near you?
I can't wait.
Hmmm, twilight meetings in a park with TMK or the pre-dig gig? That is a tough choice. :)
Hi Tim!!
Green--it was meant to be a compliment! You are an uncopyable, unique individual. And for that, you have my eternal respect. How could anyone else be Green? There is only one!
Oh, and hello to you too Scribe (Sorry, but I can't find all of those character you adopted after last year's hunt). It's so good to see so many familiar names noodling before any clues have come out! Not that lack of information has stopped me before. So, I am going to predict a downtown hiding place, because eventually, it has to be closer to my bed and I will not look quite so haggard at work after spending the night chopping snow.
Hello!
Everytime I check in here, someone else has returned! Way cooler!!!
Too funny about the Scribe-lette. Love to read and laugh at the same time!
Happy New Year, All: Green, Terry, Downtown Dave, medallionn, Ian, AllisonWonderland, The Professionals...who have I missed? I'm eager this year, since I was in the Dominican last year. I did check the clues, though, from a little German cyber cafe in Punta Cana. Good luck to everyone this year.
I am going to find the medallion.
Tim - I wish you luck...you're gonna need it!
I figure we've paid our dues and it's our turn to turn over the right shovel of snow, dirt, leaves, grass, whatever. The medallion will be ours!!!
Yes Terry you have been out a lot. I will still find the medallion. For two reasons: I dig a lot, and I have a posse.
Hey now! I don't want to be seen as some henchman to Tim.
Tim Tim, whats your posse size ?? Cause i have a crew myself.
We're so together our name on the snow paths is The Winter Wonders.
We run this show like a russian mafia
Anyone around to chat, i'm still stuck in Vegas, no money and broke a down car.
I was wondering if anyone wanted to talk about stuff like .....spots to hid the med?
added---
Picnic tables(that has been done) Grills Firepits Playground Equipment Backstops Hockey boards Horseshoe pits signs water fountains fences statues light posts misc. buildings added---
around trees bushes rocks walk ways benches
None of the above. Those are the first places dug out and around. It would assure a short hunt.
Open fields - out away from any particular "landmark" is the most likely spot...and just think how many shovels of snow that could be before someone gets lucky.
Hay, Ter!
ALLIE!!! Welcome bock! Dominican RePub last year, huh? DIMWIT! Don't you KNOW the RULES???? Can't go taking off to places like that WITHOUT the ENTIRE Cooler Crew!!! Ain't sporting!!! LOL!!
Posse, Shmosse. The Med will be MINE!
And listen to Terry... She knows! Do NOT put your hands over your ears [eyes?] and 'muffle' what she says... She's due... She's due...
Ok tim i will say it!
The king will find the medallion this year!
Ms cleo said so.
If everybody prays for snow we might get some!
