Good morning :)

Everyone who just wants to say it's not Como because you're not resourceful enough to make everything fit, go do something else. Apply for a part time job. Donate your time to a charity. Build wicker baskets.

Do not waste mine or anyone else's time unless you're prepared to back it up with something more than "oh, I think it's just to throw us off ...the clue fits perfectly to describe the park, sure, but it's <insert your disappointing improper location here>"

...or something along those lines. I've invested too much time and energy researching and unlocking clues to hear this kind of garbage.

I here you. I've been out to Como for two straight days. I've been all over the place, and not very fond of the park...

I took the kids to parade, did some sliding (courtesy of the 4 coupons included in the button registration) didn't get to do the gog sled stuff, but every year it's fun all the same.

The frenzy is upon us. Trust your instincts, trust your eyes. There're as many dollars to the reward as there are wrong directions to it.

The clues applied to Como and pretty much everywhere else. Locking it down to Como isn't giving it away because even the most cunning of hunters can't narrow it down to less than 2 or 3 potential locations inside the park.

Again, I'm all ears to hear how it's somewhere else, but I don't think anyone's come up with anything even worth considering.

I'm not sure about McMurray, I've got a mission before tonight to nail that completely. It bothers me that it's technically still in Como park, yet it's named something entirely different... and Como Park isn't even mentioned on the signage for the fields. I'll have more information soon.

If you're looking at McMurray, be sure to stay away from the entire broomball area.

There's far too much traffic for the medallion there. It's regularily groomed, and had snow removal services. If it *were* anywhere near there, you could count on it being at a landfill just as much as anywhere else. The cluezers wouldn't make that kind of fatal error.

hey guys. just got back from a few hours of digging on the west picnic grounds. thanks, guide and whoever else was down there for the fire. as far as i know, jake, tim, and treasure digger are still out there.

sorry step, schlett, and regg for missing you. i got detoured to a buddy's place in cottage grove to do some tech support on his peecee and didn't get to the park till 1215. you didn't call me dan :)

for all the trees already dug up there, i'm thinking the picnic grounds aren't the place (or at least the depressed region by the fire rings). the pavillion's looking better all the time. i imagine i'll be there at lunchtime tomorrow, complete with the towel on my arm.

I agree, we should just all 'dig along'. I was ticked at Brandon last nite for giving us a bogus clue at 11 pm, but we have to move on...Has anyone checked out (and I am sure they have) - I see the Coach Rd that you all are talking about, then Cushing Circle for circular thinking, but I never really realized that the old Children's Museum was there on Lexington (playing clue, and if Lex Luther was Supermans nemisis this could mean man of mettle. Also could a peaceful bird be a loon (like in MN Lottery, or a MN Tourism box (if there is such a thing with a loon on it). Traveling the old way again could mean going to Energy Park Drive to get to the old Children's Museum, or the Short Line train tracks could mean an old way of thinking and/or making a big haul. I know it has been on Highways b4, and if it is "off base" from the Children's Museum and on Energy Pk Dr, is there a coffee place around there? Just throwing things out. YOU DON'T THINK STIRRING COMBINATION, COULD MEAN JUST THAT, GETTING EVERYONE STIRRING AROUND COMO WHEN IT IS NOT THERE, BUT CLOSE?

oh those things are good annette. I just came back from Como and I'm going back out again. Two things for FYI: 1 is that there is an old abandoned bridge out by the old park reserve building on the corner of Lexington right before you get to the pavillion.

The other is the pavillion is called black bear crossing - you probably already know that - and the oher thing is that they use ojibway in their service counter stuff. Just in case it comes up.

here's the thing with traveling the old way. it all depends on who you ask. i'm addicted to my car (and i'm 24 for the record), and thus i consider things like the bus to be the old way. my parents remember the streetcars, though i question whether they had electricity to run them back then :) and dinosaur travel :). riverboat travel, rail travel. it all depends on the age of who you ask.
