hi all..just got back from diggin over in zone 4 by the trolley and i went over to zone 7 and looked around.. i just don't have a good feeling about those yet.. hmph
matt- clue 8 COcoa MOcha = como a coach
Hehe...
I've given away most of the tools that I've masterfully created over the past few days. I was at Como last night, and the night before (not to say that I wasn't everywhere else as well).. There's more that I'll never talk about (people have to think for themselves, of course :), but this is a huge amount of connection. Have at it =)
Como just seemed to be the most likely. MLK was neat, but not neat enough. Same with Marydale and various other rec areas. Arlington was ghetto. Phalen was locked up. Highland always works for me to begin with and I'm sick of believing it. :P
Remember: Given that you've got the correct location, you're human, you're going to error, give yourself about 20 yards (60 feet) to compensate and don't dig in little bitty holes of possibility... That's inefficient. Given that in mind, that's about 630 square feet to cover a site! Better be ready to commit to winning :)
Anyway, I'm wired, need to go sleep. Have a wonderful night, and good luck hunting tomorrow (you better be on your way digging. :)
-Matt
Brandon - now I remember why (especially why) this clue (the real clue) didn't seem real to me is that I had suggested that the Gov's mansion may be public property so should we all meet over there, and someone mentioned that perhaps they may serve us hot cocoa? I believe that was right, anyway......I believe that was b4 the clue came out.....so I thought that someone was just joking around with this clue.....anyway....
need to get some sleep too. will be there
SCOMOMDS
marley: I had that down.. I don't know :) Exciting.
The frenzy is upon us.
Hey gang!
Well I'm not ruling out McMurray totally BUT you do have to say they spelled it out for us pretty clearly tonight....West picnic area looks great to me and they spelled out COMO not McMurray so I think McMurray is just a border for the spot. Possibly next clue could change my mind, but for now west picnic area looks great to me.They even have pony rides there in the summer.....and get this all you cicular thinkers...they ride the kids on ponies in circles!LOLOLOL!
Annette B I've learned my lesson I'll never do that again, hope to see you out at Como.
I cannot imagine how anyone could be hunting for over 30 yrs for this thing...I will be relieved when someone finds it. I know it won't be me because I don't believe I will be going out to fight the crowds at Como - it would be interesting to see everyone digging. Because whichever park I have ever picked (like Rice a few days ago) no one was at. WELL - I am off to Mickey's Diner - I believe I will have decaf tho or I won't sleep at all today! Good nite (or good morning) everyone - happy hunting!
Brandon,
You're an asshole!
You think that was funny?
You let people go for over 100 posts (almost 150) with your bullshit.
And these people went to the Capital and missed the real clue just so you could have a little fun?
Hey Scribe and THX - welcome home - just slogged through 900 posts to get here. I know that Matt does not think West Picnic, but I think it is there or possibly at the ball field. In the clue it says West or East but not both. Since you can't dig at East, it must be West.
Hey leelabell,
We're just about to hit the hay! Talk to ya tomorrow. You're not going out right?
Wish I had an "I found the medallion" sweatshirt to sleep in.
Just got back from como, I'm not sloggin thru all, but I see some are having probs with relating cocoa and mocha. The pavillion at como has a coffee shop in the pavillion. They serve mocha and chocolate there!!
What happened to the obvious COcoa/MOcha?
That is still there, people who try to relate every word have to be coaxed into the park at times.
back from como...tired...going back tomorrow...very interested in seeing zone 7 in daylight!
SCD's all
ZZZZZZZZZZZZZZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz
Mick - you lurking?
COMO FINALLY!!!!!!!!!!
Anyone here??
nope
JUST A THOUGHT - IS IT POSSIBLE THAT THE PEACEFUL BIRD COULD BE THE MN STATE BIRD - THE LOON?
Everyone thinks it's como? Where abouts?
Some thoughts to ponder, clue 3 refers to bank account shrinking. The banks at Mac Murray definently shrink from west to east. could circular thinking be running bases? We usually say their rounding the bases. #7 traveling the old way. the road around the field used to be a two way! I'm I reaching?
Never--I think you are stretching...I think these clues are meant to be simple. People seem to read into them too much.
I'm guessing travelling the old way means that you'll be able to see the mini golf trolley car from the hiding spot. My take on Circular thinking is one way of Linking to our treasure that lies out of view - you play a ROUND of golf, golf courses are called "links." The park where the med is hidden has a golf course, but you won't be able to see it from the hiding spot. I think they want us to be on the side of the park with the amusement park rides (riding around can be fun) and away from the slide and snow sculptures. I'm still trying to fit the man of steel/mettle thing in. I don't have a guide so street names are a pain for me.
gotta go - off to choir. Back later! Good luck everyone!
I think you guys are readin too much into circular thinking. Isn't there still a round driveway by the boat pavilion at Como??
Good morning all. Is anyone here?
I have an idea about clue #5. So far it seems like everyone has been trying to think of two names that fit with this clue. But if you read the clue carefully, it says "a man of steel cannot be real but another has plenty of mettle - look for HIS name around our deal..." This seems to mean that it is only one name. I was thinking that the name is a fictional character AND someone who is real. Lexington is the man of metal and Lex Luther is the man that's not real?
Okay cooler heads............ here is my take on it. But leave me a spot to park...... It's by the old Park Police Station (small stone building on Lexington and Horton). The bridge that is near there (just west of it) is an old streetcar right-of-way bridge, the tracks used to run under it...... The street that is just east of that is Churchill.....Not sure what more you need. Good Luck and if this helps you, mention my name.........I can also address any other clue you need help with at that spot.
Good thought N-cat, and Lex goes right by the lake.
Am heading out within the hour to Como. Not sure what location exactly but will be looking over the clues and maps before I leave. The mettle man is Winston Churchill. I'll be wearing my "Treasure Digger" badge and possibly something white around my arm or white tape on my coat. See you out there!!!!
Treasure digger, I'll see ya out there. I will be wearing a light blue hardhat liner with the Carnival button on the top, Dark Blue Coat and My nephew will have an orange kids shovel. SEEEEEEEya there.
Okay, Mr. I'll be looking for you.
On my way also, long drive, but everything seems to line up finally.
Como, definatly Como. Was out there last night till 1:30.
We'll be out there too...somewhere. Look for us in our white MN Wild jerseys!
Didn't dig yet. Does anyone know who Schuller is, and what he has to do with Como?
Heading out now.... will be there in a bright orange jacket
I was out there at about 12:30 to 2:45, and it's definately at como. It's not at west, i think.
Hey Mr Know it all......you have hit the perverbial nail on the head i believe...
Hi Gonna, Do you know who Schuller is, and what he has to do with Como?
Hey queeny....."Move away from the statues" and golf courses..........
Mr. Ya I know, but there was a very interesting mettle man of there. Think I'm goona head out there again this time with the kiddies. They all wanted to stay up with me last night, and go out there with me. Ya right. Me, 3 over tired kids, in the dark, at midnight. No way on Gods green earth. So I told them I'd take them today.
Man, can you tell I havn't had much sleep lately, can't spell, and the key's are all blending together.
Queeny...........Mettle man= Winston Churchill
Okay gang I'll see ya out there in about 10 minutes.. Como is only a few blocks away. Happy Hunting
Oh, I know. Just exploring other possibilities. I was the one who originally came up with the old cable car tracks. But there is also another cable car out at Como, by the mini golf, carosel, bb fields and playground. Kinda thinking over there fits better.
The trolley's that used to run under the bridge were pulled by horses.
hey y'all! what's shakin?
Gonna bust outta here soon... Gotta keep on schedule (yawn). I wanna sleep!!! WWWWWAAAAA!
Is Murray field part of Como? There were a couple people digging there around 8 AM?
mmmmmmmm...sleep....sleep is good....
I'm starting to think that I'm here all by myself...has everyone gone off to dig??
That's what I thought. I suppose I shall go as well..
Izzy, can you answer our question about Murray field?
Izzy - what are your thoughts on Como?
Hi all...............gonna be found today or tommorrow............no doubt in my mind...........
does everybody think its at como?
I still have a tough time believing it's at Como ... it's too soon to be there again, and the matches to the clues don't seem so great. But I can't get the clues to fit anywhere else, so I guess I'll go with Como for now. The latest clue particularly bothers me. I really thought it was supposed to be an anagram (just combining the first syllables seems too obvious/simple), but I couldn't get anything out of it.
there's only 12 clues...
yeah, I know ...
I just don't want it to be there, but I guess it is.
(sigh of defeat)
I would love to think it's Como, but I have a feeling that they are using the clues against us. They already made it known that this year was gonna be hard. Maybe it's just me, but it would be a great year if they did mess with our heads like that. It would even be cooler if we made it to the 12th clue.
I am writing to see if this shows up.
C'mon now.....
The last clue makes it CLEAR that it is at como. A mocha already has chocolate in it....therefore the coffe reference is ONLY to state the fact that it is in COMO...(Cocoa/Mocha) We were out there last night...and it IS going to be tough. I never realized how big this place actually is....IT COULD BE ANYWHERE IN THAT PARK!
Reasons why Como? deal = Such boards or planks considered as a group. east and west = picnic grounds space and riding around = space needle or carosel cocoa and mocha = COMO
I sometimes think we all wish it is at Como. I have this aweful hunch that clue was put there to throw us all off course.
Oh, I agree that it'd be great if they're just toying with us and dragging this thing out as long as possible. The harder the better. And I think that is indeed what they're doing: making it intentionally confusing and frustrating (more so than usual). I don't want it to be at Como, I am not 100% convinced it's there ... but nothing else works (for that matter, neither does Como, in my opinion, but I'm willing to follow the crowds at this point).
Nah...too late in the game to be doing that. They had to give up the park sooner or later...not better time than clue 8. Clue 9 will be a good one.....you'll see. It will only solidify clue 8....
It still seems too obvious though, doesn't it??
they never actually gave the exact location like that before
And throughout all of the clues, none of them ever say the med is in a park, so maybe they are tricking us...
I was snooping around in that round cirlce with the little green boxes and triangle and nearly busted my --ss when I walked over that box thing with a lock on it under the snow at Como. I sure thought there would have been more people around. Is Como on both sides of Lexington?
Maybe it's just nobody wants it to be Como, b/c we don't want to endure the intense task of digging and turning acres and acres of snow. For example, I was digging by the West Picnic Sign yesterday, buy A friend and me just decided to have a snowball fight instead :) Until he hit a parked car! Then we casually but quickly left.
Yes, but if its there, I think it is near the east side, b/c all of the events are on the west side and one of the clues says "to escape the herd"... also in clue four the east and west crap...
I am with you DD. I am waiting for the snow to be churned up more. Tons of space not even touched. Bad news, on the way home I heard maybe some freezing rain Monday. I better bring my hair dryer tomorrow.
lol!
I also think we all try much harder than we should... I hate when the explanations come out and there are only 1 or 2 explanations on each clue, and they're the really obvious ones!!!
maybe it has something to do with KOKOMO (sp) the island!!......i don't know what I'm talking about anymore...
I made the word deal "lead" for what that is worth.. I mentioned last night the "Veryfine" caught my eye.
Hello all I havent posted lately been very sick but better now might go diggin but where oh where to start?
I've got it... it;s on the beach of the lake!!
j/k... time for me to stop talking...
anyway... I think i'm gonna head out to Como... C-YA!!
Good luck diggin dude:)
I thought of the best plan... go hunting during the super bowl... then nobody will be there. I'm suprised the clue for today didn't relate to it...
This is a great hunt this year. Much 'better' clues.
Thanks SW!!! You are the 'true' clue master!!!
I am heading out to 'Memory Lane' to find the treasure. SW, meet me near the 'Deal' at 12:30.
THANX!!
DigginDude - hello again! I was thinking the same thing as you - still no mention of the word "park". The last time they didn't use "park" in any of the clues (if you go down memory lane!) it was at Hidden Falls. Except for this last clue, I'm still stuck there. I was sure todays cocoa mocha clue was an anagram of sorts. Let's see if you take hot cocoa you get Swiss Miss - that practically spells Mississippi - okay it doesn't work. But, I am not 100 percent convinced it is at como. Clue one says STAY ON YOUR TOES or you'll hunt till June. Does this mean a big area/park or does it mean it is not the obvious place (COMO).
I am so excited. I am off from work all of next week. I can go every day and not sit at work worrying about not getting to dig.
That is good deb nothing worse than being at work during the hunt
I better stay home Super Bowl! I got this feeling Ed McMahon is going to stop by with his prize moble.
SS>> same here... it seems too simple to think it's there!
Lol that would be about it :)
Could be ON the lake... What do we do when we walk on ice? Tip Toe...ie.stay on your toes. What would happen if we didnt find it? The ice would melt...and we would be swimming around for it in june!
DB>> LOL!! I always send in for those drawings!
Dr.>> good thinking... but i don't think it would happen. It was in the ice one year though!
'b' Well...at least we know its in St. Paul somewhere...hehe..
Good luck all maybe see some of you at comc :)
NEAT!
Stay off the lake Dr. That is a lawsuit the PP will prevent.
See ya all down at 'Memory Lane'.
JiaTAa
NEATER!
DR - LOL! DigginDude - Every year the clues come out everyone immediately says Como. People I know say Como when they haven't even read the clues.
Wish I would have sent in my Publishers Clearinghouse - probably have a better chance at winning that than finding the medallion!!
True, True.....I dont feel like going swimming. But it sure would be BOLD to go out on the lake.....
When I drove by the big slide at Como the army trucks were there and off the base.
I know... it's so true... just watch, my face will be on TV right after the SB!
Does anyone know if there was carnival festivities at Como the last time the medallion was hidden there? It seems odd they would risk vandalism and such by hiding the medallion in the same park. Not too mention the parking problem.
Tonight...is going to be the last clue of the 2001 Winter Carnival....Who is Dr.KaiserSosig? I bet he would surprise you....
ha ha - and how will I know it is you - will you go by the name DigginDude?
Are some still thinking it's in a Dove box? I thought about a Secret deoderant container.
They are not concerned with the parking...."to each his own".....BUT!! they do have some sort of security at Como for the sculptures, maze, and slide.
I think off base means not by the playing fields
Diggin Dude - I agree. What about the East/West test? It seems like this should be a big hint.
SS>> oh you will know...
Yeah... that clue still confuses me...
What about Man of Mettle - how does that fit Como? Some say Winston Churchill - can someone explain?
Hello all - too tired for words this morning. Was at Como 'til the wee hours. Anyway, I really think it is somewhere in the west picnic area - you got the carousol, the streetcar, the playground. I just haven't figured out the man of mettle yet. Not digging again, until the next clue comes out.
I bet the med is in a spot that nobody would think of looking... just out in the open...someplace BOLD
I guess I will join the masses and head to Como. I promised my 4-year-old I would take him digging. If all else fails, we'll visit the activities there.
Maybe since it is a 50th anniv treasure hunt, they put it in a water cooler in honor of this site!
SS>> Have Fun!!
Deb>> yeah, i'm suprised they haven't had a clue about it being the 50th anniv...
g2g for real this time... c-yall!!
DD, Gold pertains to 50th wedding anniv.
I saw a gold ball on one of the buildings at Como on my way up to the snow slide.
I still wonder why they haven't said anything about it being in a park yet. They just kept referring to a place in St. Paul.
what does everyone think of todays clue?
Good Luck DD. I am going to get my 5 year old son back out to dig with me. Better get back out. LOL
Just came back from Como west picnic area...as noted just a few minutes ago by others, there is no sign (as yet) of a Man of Mettle...
know what it means but does anyone else?
Digger1, I drove over to Como early this morning and that coffee shop made me think about clue #8
Digger1 what do you think it means....I'm lost
Why does everyone think it is Como? It was just there 4 years ago.
Don't feel bad Donna. I think we are all lost for the moment.
Man of Mettle = Winston Churchill.
Sweetbaby, I just go where everyone else goes. I was at Battlefield on year and was the only one there. It was scarey back in those hills with nobody around.
Does anyone else think the Man of Mettle has to be ALIVE since it says "has" and not "had" in the clue?
Why does everyone think it is Como? It was just there 4 years ago.
T.B.-That's a good point.
I was so sure it was at highland until the 8th clue
Has anyone seen Allisonandwonderland today?
Thanks, but I'm not sure...apparently the clue-writer isn't always 100% consistent and I don't know how important verb tenses are to him/her...
Sorry, I have no idea how I posted the Como question twice.
golly guys, take the two words COffee and MOcha and mix them together. Nothing else going on in this clue.
Hello All!! I slept until noon!!:)
So where does everyone think it is?
Is everyone still at Como?
What time does the next clue come out?
LOLOLOLOLOLOLOL!!!!:)
T.B, maybe try looking at last years clues.
I think Midnight.
deborah i was just at aw's web site and he's not on line
good morning scribe. everyone and their mothers are at como. today's clue gave the park and that's it.
why do you think it is Highland?
are you sure it isn't to throw people???
Deb,actually it comes on-line at midnight. You can get the clue earlier at the PP around 11:00-or so......depends!:)
I was just havin a little fun!
woops i meant COcoa and MOcha
matty look at my post # 17690 i did the research and it all fit till clue 8
Are there people still all around Como?
I also have been at Como for the last 3 nights!LOL! Sorry guys! My sense of humor must be tarnishing......
People are scattered around the entire 5,000 acres of park at como. Lots in the W. Picnic grounds but the med's not there.
where do you think sunnyd
Donna, I can not get it to come up. Can you fill me in.
donna. the med is definately at como now. somewhere associated w/ the west picnic grounds. i don't think it is in the picnic grounds proper (off base) but the East/West stuff points to the W picnic grounds. there are tons of possibilities right around the picnic grounds.
matty go to outline and look at the post numbers and then hit recent and go back from there...it pretty extencive
tonight's clue gives the immediate surroundings for the med. it will be found by 12noon tomorrow. that's my guess.
Sunnyd you don't think that thier tryin to throw us off with this last clue?....i don't know what to think
Lee&J.,Penni,Jord,Pryzm,I'm thinkin I'm goin to dig later this afternoon.I can't stay up to late tonight,it's monday tomorrow!! But I still want to take as many shots as I can!
Besides if this thing isn't found by tues......I WILL BE UP LATE!:)
Matty did you find it?
Only a few posts at noon on a sunday...Hmmmmmmmm........where is everybody?
COMO!
THE DIG IS ON!!!!!!!
GOOD LUCK! I hope one of the crew finds it!!:)
FYI -- an easier way to find a past posting is to go up to the URL listing and change the last part of the address to the number you want. (for example, right now mine says ... 22357, but if you change it to 10555, you'll go to that message)
thanks kid ...didn't know that
so kid what are your thoughts on where the med, is?
Scribe - we gots to do some things today and I want to watch the Superbowl. So, if we got, it won't be until after the clue. And, then only for a little while, because we both have to be up tomorrow too. I could also go during the day tomorrow for a little while if I don't get up too late.
my thoughts? actually, I'm kinda stumped. I still have trouble believing it's at Como, since it was just there and I don't really like the ways the clues "fit." However, I can't get the clues to fit anywhere else.
I really thought today's clue was an anagram; "... creates a stirring combination ... put them together ..." seems to imply this. But the best I could come up with for anagrams of "hot cocoa" and "mocha" was "choo choo cat ma," which makes no sense. Frustration is setting in.
didnt someone say something about COACH before
Coach Rd. is right by Bandana Square - close to the ball fields.
there's a coffee shop at como n jessamine....called the community circle...at the bearcrossing....or somethin like that.....r.r. land though i think....so we headed to orchard...picked apart except out by the rink....
finally....off to mcmurray....saw a few at the soccer field, center field.....bring a snowbloer hahaha....
so, bike path at crosby or lillydale....specualtion please????
big turning! at the entrance of como, midway and hamline, there are two structures or pilar type objects, that are dedicated to the works progress admin. which means the new deal that roosevelt did to get us out of our depression from the clue concerning deal and depression
Does anyone think Charles Schultz has anything to do with this years hunt? I just checked his site and 50th year was mentioned for what he did.
His site mentions the depression also.
Good Afternoon all -
I was out of town overnight, and I come back to a clue that appears to tell me I have been wasting my time at Highland.
I really had the clues mapped better there then at Como. Because I have been gone for over 24 hours I really would prefer not to slog through the messages. Can someone update me on how the clues map into Como? I really had my heart set on Highland, so I just did't pay close enought attention to everyone's thoughts on Como.
OK this is my thoughts of the clue COCO, and MOCHA. First two letters of COCO is CO, first two letters of MOCHA is MO that spells out COMO. And in COMO's Pilivian, there is a coffee shop
I need to find some research on where all the snoopy's are to see anything fits.
But after todays clue, my heart is still not on Como
Tom - what is your thought for a park?
Tom - That is of course if you want to share
think como cuz: Cocoa and mocoa mixed spels como depression and deal is involved with the two pilars at the entrance at midway and hamline are dedicated to the works progress admin.(new deal and the depression back then) carossel riding around space= space needle east and west= the two picnics grounds trolley at the golf course=old way traveling
Matty - Thanks for linking them together. That could have taken me weeks to think about. How frusturating to think I was right two days ago, but to end up totally wrong?
I won't go on and on but, Charles Schultz was also known as Sparky. Isn't there a Sparky the seal at the Como Zoo?
also: playing can be fun=amusement park across the street base= the sal. army is hosting the winter park activities so stay away from them( could mean baseball fields)
schultz, why bring him up?
Deborah - there was/is a sparky the seal there, but I saw a post a couple days ago that there were signs to point hunters away from the zoo.
It feels to me Como just ain't the place, I drove by a park yesterday, whcih I'm going to check out today. You have to think todays clue talks about combining. I beleive todays clue is just pin pointing the park in refrence to como. After todays clue, I'm more stong on where I think it is, everything matches, and my theory of needing 2 peices of evedence for the clues to fit in.
r u kiddding me my mom got back from como, its found
I don't know. I guess with all the stuff revolving around him this past year.
mom is a bit.. she was lian, gotta yell at her now
But as I think stay clear of bases; my location doesn't help because I'm starting to wonder staying clear of bases means its nowhere on a baseball feild, but somewhere where there is amusment
Someone found it?
think i like como cuz i live right there and i wouldnt want to drive anywhere farther
sorry tom my mom told me that then she said she was kidding i am sooooo sorry
memory lane, big clue but no idea what it is telling us? any theories
why highland?
is there n e one here?
I'm heading out tonight to look at a few spots in mind. I thought I had it Friday. I was at Como at the West Panic Grounds, and all of a sudden I found a tweetie card, some magazines (Circulars) and a bank deposit receipt (Bank Account), but it it wasn't there, I dug all around, but the snow wasn't that deep.
Matty, I almost fell off my chair. That's alright. We needed a little waking up.
one of the clues says stay on your toes, it might not even be burried but up high or not on the ground
Matty - I am still here. Just had to battle with my toddler for use of the computer. He wanted to sit on my knee, but he also wanted to push the buttons.
Or does the clue mean stay on your toes until june mean its on a Highschool's Property
I better get off here. Need to get the house straighten, Ed Mcmahon should be here with my $10,000,000.00.
like i said, sorry, mom yeld fuc. they foun it and I just about died and i thought my cooler buds would want to know then she came to me and said i am kiddin, almst got my shotgun out
me to but i am only gettin 10,000 today
Tom H, That came to me just a little while ago about school letting out in June.
The "Dove" clue says it is buried in the snow.
Hi Ya'll What are the theories on today's clue???
I was thinking that since the fist day
Matty - I will post my highland thoughts here quick. Let me get them in order.
some get out in may though
that be great Jok.
Hey MacGrove man - good to see you logged on.
Theories? Help.....I need more help....I feel I have been totally wrong for 3 days.
sorry to change the sub. but is ayone here from como area? f not what area r u from?
Ya, but it would need to be narrowed down to when each school gets out.
I am drinking a coffe with cocoa right now and very near the site....
I'll share my thoughts when someone else shares theirs
Mac Grove Man, Are you standing by the black bear?
South St Paul
It sure got quiet again....what is up people...I'm out digging today...just taking a break...looking for gold...and a little insight here!
someone every year says "it's been found"...
shared them earlier 22378 posting
Columbia Heights
Schoolas are out in june. Como High is right next to Black Bear
thanx
No I'm not standing by the bear...I'm on a computer as I type to you...
I'll go back to that posting ...thankyou
the pavillion is known for serving good coffee but i think that clue refers to the combination of cocoa and mocha, maybe it has double meaning too
still any thoeries on memeory lane
Matty - Here is my post from a few days ago.
I am strongly thinkng Highland. Here are some of the clues I have heard on the Cooler in the last few days. A number of them point to Highland. 1. GOOD LUCK - in the first clue. Horseshoes mean good luck and there are horseshoe pits at Highland. 2. Golf Courses - do not annoy. Highland has 2 golf courses in addition to the disc course. 3. Circular linking is one way of linking - Discs are circles. Links - golf course, chain links on the holes for the disc golf course. 4. East/West and "Bank" - Highland park is separated East and West by Edgecumbe. Bank = Edge hence Edgecumbe. 5. Bank may also mean the bank of the creek/stream/river that runs through Highland. I don't know the name of it, but I remember walking over a bridge at that park. 6. Someone also mentioned that the golf courses are on the West side so that we would need to stay on the East side. 7. There are lots of Trees in Highland park - pointing to "leaves". 8. I think there is a playground there also. - pointing to "playing" 9. Someone also mentioned that there are some places of private ground near Highland. 10. Someone else mentioned that circular thinking my relate to the fact that Highland was the site of the first Hunt.
New thoughts - 1. Clue #4 - "leaves you depressed" - There is a backyard waste composting education site at highland. 2. Clue #5 - Man of Steel - The footbridge that crosses between both sides of the part is made of steel. Also "close to our deal" - Dealton Street runs up to Highland park.
3. Clue # 4 - "East and west are part of our test" - Chose West and there are seven words in the sentence. West 7th is the south side of Highland.

Well, Allison and I and company were out at Como earlier today. We figured we need another clue to point us in the right direction...as to where it is on Como!
good thinking, i think the obvious is right in front of us but we cant pick out where it is
Nicce Link on Como...You just broke my heart

Well, I am back from an uneventful trip to como... Still dont' know where to look there.... Hard to pin point and dont want to waste a lot of energy just digging anywhere.... I am working on Memory Lane I still dont have an ideas on that. Does anyone know why the fields are called McMurry?
Phillip D - I love your tag line.
I seem to have a love/hate relationship with this hunt stuff. I love it when I am right/ I hate it when I have dug a few days in the wrong park.
Jokysu, Thank You, I know what you mean, the last two years I have been doing that and it is very frustrating. I was just talking about that with a buddy about digging in Palace Park last year... Had a hunch about the A tower or Two clue.... but such is well... Now it is a new Year and they are not being very helpful with the clues this year.
BULLSEYE, if you're out there did you have any luck this morning? Did more hunters show up?
Later all -
Off to ride around Como. No digging probably unless I get a feeling from above.
May take a ride down that snow slide instead. That would be a lot less stressful.
Check in with you all later.
The Medallion is not at Como...
MacGrove Man why would you say that
I have been digging today at another Location...(not a park)...and the clues fit wonderfully! Perfectly! But it is too small of an area to disclose at this time.
Ok, it is tuff to pull away from Como with yesterdays clue though.
I may hold off until tonights clue to do any more digging though...the 5% that I'm not sure of myself may prevent me from exerting any more energies until then! I will share my thoughts tonight with anyone who is up for a late dig. Meet me at the PP at 11:00 PM. I'll be wearing my Vikings stocking cap and 1994 "Shut Up And Shiver" Carnival sweatshirt! If my hunch is correct, with six diggers we will hit paydirt tonight!
Hi everyone! Just finally got caught up from sloggin! Scribe, I caught your humor---VERY FUNNY!!!!
