In defense of McMurray-by Scribe continued
Clue #6 Prize=contest=sports place=NOT PARK lots of space=not many trees,SPACE!! dual meaning=space needle State fairgrounds visible riding = rides, biking AROUND=why does this word keep comin up?? The clues are Around the place!! have to move off base=dual meaning literally off Como grounds AND baseball victorious=games, sports
clue#7 memory lane=past(linking),Buehla lane is bordering the field and was a strolling path back in the day.. busiest street=street cars(we're thinkin past here) travelling the old way=trains bordering field,Coach road just on the other side of train tracks, strolling(walking)Buehla Lane big haul=if you stretch this and rearrange and add an e(dropping the ig)it spells Beuhla Also:Perry Como song about Memory Lane.....right Penni?
Rice Park is very small, it has electrical wires running everywhere, half the park is fenced off because of construction, and the rest is being used for the ice sculpting.
I see. AW- Were you at AA?
wasn't perry comos song "primrose lane"?
and what about Kellog?
Our beloved St. Paul is the place for GOLD=The big lit up pot of gold for the Salvation Army. 2. CIRCULAR thinking can be one way of linking=The Carousel Restaurant is in the Radisson hotel. 3. East and west are a part of our TEST=There is a school right across the street. 4. Playing might put a smile on your face=Kids have their recess on the east end of the park. (Far away from the 'pot of gold') 5. Mettle and fettle=They rhyme with kettle which id what the pot of gold is called. The Salvation Army's Kettle. 6. To escape the HERD=Shepard road is directly on the other side of the hill.
scribe, you've got me convinced; you've extracted quite a bit from the clues, but i'm convinced.
Could a trolley be the old way to travel?
Ok Scribe, not go to www.coolercrew.com and show me in which year the explanations for the clues ever looked anything like that.
P... yeah, supposed to meet up with Scribe, Lelebell, and Pennie after the clue and see what's up. I am sure it will depend on what the dang clue is, right?
Scribe, I haven't seen Pennie on here yet since I talked to her via cell phone after I got home... maybe she is still sloggin through???
Tom.....I like it.....also a museum across the street....memory lane?
Yes, I was at AA today, and AA is where its at, like it or not. But time will tell.
I dunno Penni told me that I just thought I'd throw it in there......if it fits GREAT! But I think the evidence is pointing to Mc Murray.....
David, mettle and fettle are journalistic plays on words along with the dual meaning of mettle.....
Wanna bet a drink on that Allison?
Not that Como is looking all that great, but it IS looking a little better than every place else!
I'll bet whatever you want on it. Wait, what are we betting on exactly?
Jordenn...mind if I tag along tonite? I will bring my own shovel?!?!
yep, plus you can see Old 7th Street from there, I believe, and the Excl Energy Center which is something new, and from Kellogg you can see Tugboats, which Haul stuff
Etu Jake?
Allison,we are betting a drink at Mcgovern's after the hunt!
Scribe's callin this one this year!
Not that anyone believed me when I said it was at Conway two years ago at this point either. Though I feel more sure about this than I did about that.
AA? I was there today, but Clark street doesn't even run by it, unless I was at the wrong park, the park I was at had a baseball field and a sledding hill, is this right? Was I at the right place? I saw a couple of diggers, but I couldn't tell....
So the bet is, if its at McMurray Field, I buy you a drink, and if its at AA, you buy me one?
Are cooler crew people wearing white armbands or anything to identify themselves?
yes and river (banks)
Thats right Allison,are we on?
Clark St. does run into it, but it runs into the back part where the woods are. You were in the right place. So we have Clark St. and Desoto St. To me, that's all you need to know you have the right place.
see, what I am saying. and Kellogg Boulvard is a busy place, PLUS there are train track right below the park, or were at least
Scribe, can I get in on that?
Scribe, I'm so confident that I will take that bet, even though I don't drink!
Most certainly, Prymzsphere! I will wait for you to get here.
AW what is east or west clue for AA?
Allison if your right I'll buy you pop all night!LOLOLOL!
BUT YOU WON"T BE!
Hows that for confidence?!!!
I was on Clark Street. It's there.
what makes you so sure it is it? No banks...No herds...No nothing AW! and if it is it, it won't be found until at least after tommorow, we don't even know which park it is at, let alone, where in the park it is, AA is a huge park, and i believe it will take maybe 2 more clues to find it there, if it was there. I think tonight's clue will "give away" the location of the park, and how do we even know the Medallion is even out yet?
cool J! Looks like we'll have to help SCribe get a free drink! Hope it's me!
Allison how does Desoto fit into the picture?
Didn't have a white armband so I wore a white baseball cap... still trying to think of what white I have to wear...
What happens to the bet if it is at neither??? :)
I believe the east west clue is telling you where in the park, not pinpointing the park itself.
I've had enough already. . . I am calling Miss. Cleo!
not gonna use your 50/50 or ask the audience, self?
joe!
LOL @ herself!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
If we are both wrong we just drink..........LOL!
I'm outta here for a while!See ya'll at McMurray!;)
The med is out there, trust me on this one!
and Man of Mettle?
Does como have a freesbe golf course, trying to put two and two together.
lol herself! I was thinking the same thing!
I really like desoto, clark and burr AW but that seems to be it
Tom, I agree with you that it won't be found for a couple of days most likely unless someone gets lucky. But as for bank and herd and other things, those are not real clues. Those are just words. If you look back at previous years and their explanations, maybe there is one or two words in the whole set of clues that have a particular special meaning. The vast majority do not. So there's no reason to take any specific word and assume it *has* to fit a park.
As for Desoto, the first part of today's clue is merely telling you that they're naming a street. The second part is the name of the street, an "old way of travelling", i.e. by Desoto (an old make of car)
Can someone tell me what park AA is?
Also AW I was driving around AA today (didn't dig there ) and there is a peace acadamy building not to far away....it has a dove on the sign
Man of mettle could be saying man of courage.
The man of steel is apparently Superman after all, and the man of mettle is Clark Kent. Its as simple as that.
Circular thinking I'm guessing means think of a place where they use a lot of balls, like baseballs, tennis balls, basket balls. And this would be a bold park, being that its never been here before. It does have a lot of hills, and therefore a lot of space for sledding.
sister: aa = arlington-arkwright park. the name is self-explanatory to its location.
Thank you, Ares. Does anyone still think the med is at Hidden Falls?
well, i can't wait to see what tonight's clue brings us. Where in AA have you looked?
which person were you? What were you wearing?
I want to know what all you pros think about this idea. I have been thinking it is at MLK since the 5th clue, and this is what I have come up with. "Man of Steel": Superman or Clark Kent, Kent St. runs into MLK. Also, Lex Luther is the nemesis of Superman, and Luther is in MLK. Last night, the clue also said "Lane" which could be hinting at Lois Lane. If you look in your Treasure Hunters guide, there is a "Peace Monument" towards the west side of the park. I went to this monument and there is 3 metal doves on a large concrete wall. There is also a circle that is broken up between the doves. Above the 3 doves is a large "Peace" sign made out of metal (mettle). "East and West" can be referring to Highway 94 which goes East and west and is directly north from the park and can easily be seen. You can also see a church with a large "Gold" cross on top, which is pretty much directly north. Inside the rec center is the "Penumbra Theater". Penumbra means "eclipse" which could be connected with circular thinking. "Keep on your toes" could also be connected with dancing in the Penumbra Theater, or there is also a blacktop area that has a basketball court. The Peace Monument is on a large concrete wall which could be connected with off base=AWOL or A Wall. Directly north of the peace monument is also a large baseball field with a chain link fence, and a soccer field next to that; the off base reference could also be connected with that. Not only is this a quite a bit of space, but you can also get a good view of the sky or space. What do you think?
If it is at MLK it will be found soon, there were 4 very determined diggers out there this afternoon!
I spent most of my time around the basketball courts as it was the only playing you could do there in an east-west direction. I was dressed all in black with a black leather jacket and a black almost cowboy looking hat.
I was at AA about 2:00 pm with my wife and son.
hey all! so does everyone think it is at AA park?? have been gone for a day so update me w/ any new info if ya got any. I was thinking "man of steel and man of mettle" could be superman and clark kent like AW said, but is there a kent street or a clark street by any parks?
I left there about 1:30 and came back around 4 until 5. We did some good filming though in the earlier session.
because it says" a man of steel could not be real"
Clark St goes into AA.
You can all save your $5. All Miss. Cleo said was that the fortune I was seeking was surrounded by white! Although I have doubts that she was the real Miss. Cleo--the accent sounded kinda phony! :)
The man of steel isn't real, but then again it never actually says the man of mettle *is*.
MLK, is starting to look good. Down two blocks to the west is Carty park, there is a rock in the middle with a plaque given by the summit-university comm. council in 76 I think. Anywho, It saif the full name of the guy the park was named after, Carty and said it was for his dedication to the area when he lived. The street on the west side, is white like the Rhondo signs, and is Rev Walter L Battle St, Rd etc. On the corner of Marshall, and Rev Walter L... , is a temple called Battle temple. Obviously war related. Other clues couldn't fit however, so who knows. But is very close to MLK, and mettle man's name is near
Does anyone know if there is a prominent bridge near Hidden Falls park? I am still thinking it is at Hidden Falls. Hidden Falls links St. Paul (East) and Minneapolis (West). East/West/Playing in this same clue could be referring to the game of Bridge. Old way of travel could be the river.
Alisson>> THANX!
Sister, a prominent bridge near hf is Ford, but I seriously doubt bridge is the game to which they were referring as it rarely evokes smiles.
sister, there's the 35e bridge over the river on the east end, the ford pkwy bridge over the river on the north end, and the high bridge may well be visible from hf, too.
there are SO MANY thing it could be. AW - How can you explain Memory Lane?
SS>> there are two bridges that are by HF, Ford Bridge and some other one. i am with you too, a little
herself - no, but finding the medallion would evoke a smile! The Clark Kent thing sounds good - but I don't know that I would call him a man of mettle (courage).
From He's there is the w.7th St.(Fort Road) bridge that goes by Ft. Snelling and joins up with 494. Bridge is planely visible.
Memory lane is the busiest street. This is a hint that they are talking about a street name in this clue. Think of an old way of travelling. My gut feeling told me right away they were looking for an old brand of car, and in this case Desoto goes right by the same park Clark St. goes into.
NOTE TO SELF: learn how to sepll...spell...
Diggin Dude - there is supposed to be a new bridge as well - check out this link http://www.friendsoftheparks.org/bridge.htm
WOW. I have definately changed my mind
Clark Kent was a man of mettle, he just *pretended* not to be.
Is Desoto the busiest street by the park?
oh...i didn't know that
Memory Lane is the busiest street, not Desoto. Busy is just a red herring.
HF closes at 10:00.
..somewhere...heh..I went searching and there was this pile of snow that someone had dug and then made a circle around it...it was pretty humurous. I think the clues do point to 2 parks right next to each other..but what we need now is the homing in clue..the one where it gives something away that can be seen from exactly where the treasure is hidden, but it probably won't...I think the clue Steer points to one possible place..what do you think of when you think of Steer? Anyway...I am still having a problem with circular thinking..but that's because of my choice of park...but that's my only problem really..
http://www.geocities.com/Athens/7012/desoto.html
Hernando DeSoto was a man of (metal) stealing
GOLD
in the 1500's
DD--check edits! Posted less than 30 sec. after the original! I think I'll go back and edit your work now.
My first thought of an old way of traveling was "street car." That brings me to the Capitol, as in Capitol CIty Trolley.
When looking at the bridge from HF's the structure of the bidge is arches and they look like half circles.
There's a reason for a pile of snow with a circle around it. First you dig out a small circle and make sure nothing is there. Then you start digging around it making bigger circles and piling the snow in the middle where you've already looked.
Pupsicle, you been to HF?
Circular thinking - if you look at the first letter of each line of this clue and circle down up and around - they spell CITY. If you put this with Linking you can come up with a park that links two cities (one east one west) - Hidden Falls
golly gee... i'm sorry :(
j/k
SS- or east and west river road...only one of which is the correct one(east)
Everyone still clueless with these ever so much helpful clues?
:)
In the past, I've noticed they like to make you scramble letters, like the first letters of each phrase, well, here they are:
Clue No. 2: T F G A
Clue No. 3: C T Y I
Clue No. 4: E T I P
Clue No. 5: A B L A
T S O A
Clue No. 6: T W B I
Clue No. 7: M I T A
what do you guys think of clue #7... "lots of space"...is there a big parking lot by any of the parks. just a thought
Hello Everyone. Okay let me get this straight MLK park and the the HF park.
and I think that "big haul" may refer to the big hill at AA, cuz you have to make the "big haul" up the hill after you sled down it!
in clue 5, are the first letters of each line an anagram for anything?
Digging Dude, I sometimes have trouble with directions but I believe west refers to Crosby and East to HF.
From a Web page...
"McMurray Field-West Como Park"
Aren't "deals" some kind'a pine wood thingys? Couldn't this then be bats? BB bats are made outta pine... (Getting back to good o'l Larry Ho...)
The dome on top o'the Conservatory's gold...
and notice that the second part of the 5th clue unscrambled spells Sato
It certainly feels that way doesn't it? Makes me wonder if the person who hid bothered to walk up there to hide it?
I was at both this PM and at crosby you have a lot of walking to do to get by the river but at HF there is quite a bit more parking. Place is huge.
Clue 2= Gaft
Clue 3= City
did you get what I saying AW? and if you take two of the letters from clue five, they would be AA, taking it too far?
Has anyone been outside? Does it feel real cold out?
Green, still thinking BC or are you thinking Mc Murray? :) Went out to Mc Murray this afternoon, but didn't go over to BC...
I don't think the initials mean much. You could probably come up with any park if you could choose any two letters from any clue.
Thought just popped into my head! Could "a man of metal not be real," be refering to one of those metal signs indicating a man's restroom? Is that to far out?
think if you take tonight's first letters and the previous ones, it will revel the name of the park
What the hell does Crosby have to do with anything???
And hidden falls for that matter? I don't see how anything fits for either of these?
Jordenn... Off BC. Could be McMurray... Could be Highland.
Offhand, my gut feeling is to say yes wolf.
Crosby nature center and HF and next to each other, one east, one west.
where is everyone thinking for a park now?
Tom - no they aren't going to use the first letter of every clue to spell out the park. They did that one year before and the medallion was found to soon. It was at Battle Creek.
Come to AA Green. You know you want to. You KNOW you will eventually. hehe
it has done that the year it was at BC remember? and it said COMO IS NOT THE SPOT... it fooled us all!! lol
Allison!!!! LOL! You are so damn CUTE!!!
I agree with AW, only AA makes sense to me right now.
Diggindude, every clue fits HF!
Does AA have bathrooms?
what the hell is AA??
Excuse me I meant digging animal.
How does it fit Hidden Falls--enlighten me please!
I could see Ford for Clue 7 except for one thing. People still drive Fords, so its not distinguished in the pop psyche as an old way of travelling.
But.... Allison....
A car (Desoto) is not an old mode.....
ACK!!!! MODE/DOME!!!! (shudder)
of transportation - ittiz a *current* means.
Now a "Coach" or "trolley" - those are out-moded, no-longer-used means o'conveyences!
Animal you got the clues in front of you cause I did this once and I don't want to do it again lol
I'm afraid AA has no bathrooms, heat, electricity, or much of anything. Not a great place for a rehash bash.
And AA is Arlington Arkwright
wolffpac, diggin dude - to the treasure that lies "out of view" - Hidden
Stepdog - ArkwrightArlington Park
Digging Animal - see earlier posts
wolf>> I didn't say they didn't... but I agree w/ you... what do you think todays clue means for it though??
Green, can I ask you a question? DO YOU EVER SEE DESATOS ON THE ROAD? that's what I thought....
Desoto current? They don't make them anymore, and haven't for a long time.
You guys think the med is at arlington arkwright???
yes... but maybe the PP did that on purpose to throw people off...
I'm so frickin' cold and tired.
Me? *I* think "Memory Lane" means "Brain Way(ve)."
I'm convinced its at AA, and soon you will be too. Resistance is futile. You will be assimilated.
DigginDude - don't know memory lane, but old way of travel could be the river - also barges carry big hauls.
Where Is AA park. the streets.
This is my analysis of the clues..because I was being a bit vague last time...Clue 2: Steer..Farm..Crosby Farm, Clue 3 linking 2 citys..that seems to work...and banks that don't shrink: the Crosby park is a place where it has a natural water shed. Clue 4: East and west..East 7th street and West 7 th street..each end at parks...(Hazel Rec on the east side and west side HF and Crosby) Playing though..the one with the playground is Hazel...though the other clues don't lead there...Clue 5:The Man of Courage could mean a lot of things..although I am not sure as to what yet...it's probably either in the sopa or ice cream bar box under snow...Clue 6:lots of space...there is a ton of it at Crosby and HF..and off base could mean off Fort Snelling or the Reserve Air Force Base right near there.....old way of travel and memory lane..think Huck Finn and the River...
JS..
I'm with you Joe!
I still think these worthless clues can fit ANY park that you want them to fit.
OK...I think we are missing some hidden meaning/anagram/whatever they are doing to confuse us.
Do you remember when it was at Como and they used "He once led a state with a city most great, but is better known here without you" and it turned out to be Mario Cuomo from NY without the U to make out COMO? I'm not saying it's at como this year, but a clue like that does not seem like they are GIVING us the name of a park. I mean it's clue 7 already and all we know is that it is in a Dove box for crying out loud.
Any thoughts on that???
Hehe, I was waiting for someone to ask that.
Ummm, Arlington and Arkwright maybe? hehe
Just a bit east of 35E
The other streets are Desoto and Hyacinth, with Clark, Ivy, and Cottage streets hitting it perpendicularly. My guess is tonight's clue might address one of those streets or it may say something about "out of the woods"
Tom, you're well on your way to becoming very *un*popular...
Don't yell at me. If you disagree with me, say so. You're entitled to your opinion as I am to mine.
Get off my last nerve you've managed to irratate too much for my comfort, kid. I'm not in the mood for your childish antics. Shape up, kid.
Joe>> nice thoughts!
Clue 1 hint-duel ans=duel parks 2 hint-deploy ans= Ft. Snelling was a deploment depot in WW2 3 hint-bank ans= river bank 4 hint east and west ans= crosby an HF are next to each other 5 hint- man of steel ans= Henry ford Ford plant 6 hint- space and riding around ans= huge parks and 6 miles bike paths 7 hint-old travel ans= W 7th is now Ft. Road
Sorry it took so long but I can't type.
It COULD be AA or many other places at this point how about Bay-Tuscarora, marydale...crosby farm hidden falls..
Heh, is the next clue out yet?
Accessible by city bus?
hmm, bout irvine?
still like streetcars, as old method of travel, relating to the street somehow
Allison, I agree with you 100% that DeSotos are no longer being made. But ittiz a "car" and cars are still very much a common means of getting to and fro... LOL!!! They're still "a way" - a current way - of getting around.
But "Coach"es and "trolleys" are no longer used in our society. They are no longer "a way" of getting around. They are an "old way" of getting around.
Never mind! You're as stubborn as we all are when we've decided we're right! LOL!!! And that's as it should be.
Got a question...doesn't the first clue usually say "ata park in St. Paul"...yet this year it said "In St. Paul" not mentioning a park...Crosby Nature Preserve????????
Whats happening Wright Winger? Wanted to call you today but didn't have your phone.
I don't know it is in a dove box, there could be a word game with "peaceful bird" for all I know...???
I hope tonights clue is actually a riddle that refers to the park exactly. and not these crazy words that just keep getting more and more confusing!!!!!
Ther u go teddy
New Daddy... I'm vascillating between Highland and McMurray Field(s).
Kids, what's up?
I think all of you people who are in the wrong parks are there because you're trying to interpret the clues by picking out words and phrases and looking at them out of context when what you should be doing is looking at the clue as a whole and try to figure out what *one* bit of information the cluewriter is trying to give you with the overall clue. Now sometimes they will slip in a bit extra with a single word in the way they once used the word "serve" last year to suggest a Butler for Pierce Butler, but that was kind of an extra thing that you didn't really have to get, and such one word clues are really pretty rare.
I think it's at Newell again. 2 years in a row to prove they can stump us at the same park
New daddy-- exactly!! I am tired of the frickin word games!!!
I favor HF over Crosby because of the parking but that might be a lame excuse.
Yup, Allison. I agree with you.
And I'm still at Highland and McMurray Field(s)!
Step--LOL!! that's what i thought at first too... but that would be so cruel
wolffpac...at crosbby you can park all along the road on the way down the hill "depression" into the park
Trying to wake up from my nap, overcome this cold, and figure out if I want to go out tonight and where.
You out here digginganimal?
step, in case you haven't slogged back, allison and the scribe have a bet going: one drink at mcg's after the hunt. allison wins if it's at aa, the scribe wins if at como. she also wrote a fairly nice tome as to why it's in como, and even went so far as to narrow it down a bit. of course, i'm still likin' como so i'm a bit biased.
DigginDude....the clues actually make sense there too.
well, diggin dude, we were cruel to them by keeping it short last year; revenge is a dish best served cold :)
evening folks
Hey Gang! New info regarding the hunt!
Me and my bro went hunting today down at Hidden Falls.....believe it or not....there was an amish guy riding the trails in a buggy. We both looked at eachother and just about soiled ourselves. I think maybe this could be what they are talking about. Maybe the PP has got this thing mapped out more than we think. Between them planting dove soap and the amish guy....i think they're trying to throw us off....I dont know...just noodlin'!
Ares - you go out diggin' today?
I really think clue 7 is giving us a street name and there was no Trolley St or Streetcar Ave in St. Paul that I could find. I don't think the distinction of the mode is all that important. Not as important as the fact that there are people who still remember travelling in a Desoto.
Kids, hit Mom Press when the paper comes out.
ALL YOU GUYS should hit Mom Press when the paper comes out! Ittiz a blast!!!!
Allison, I, too HATE C&W... Will be tuff for me to do this... LOL!!!
Good evening Leah. Happy hunting today? :)
scouting, step; i'm still scouting. made it out to como, and parking was a pain so i drove around a bit. i'm not particularly looking forward to actually digging there until at least monday lunch time.
true... LOL!! to Newell for me!
Seeing your tagline, Green, I decided to pop in my B. Joel collection.....
Welcome Leah! How did you do today?? :)
Have you been there teddy? At crosby some of the cliffs are 100 feet up!!!
I didn't go anywhere looking today- it's my daughters b-day so we were celebrating that
Good point, Allison. And to those folks that can still remember traveling in a DeSoto, it ain't an "old way" of travel.
Is anyone going down to PP, and out digging afterwards? Sorry Green
Happy birthday Leah's daughter! How old?
5
HAPPY BIRTHDAY TO YOUR DAUGHTER, LEAH!!!!
We're going out after the PP gives us the goods!
I think tonight is going to be a big clue. If we were to find it...i may just have to jog all the way home and give myself a swirlie!
thanks- she's my hunting partner
Give yourself one HUH!
I need myself a hunting partner...
Listen to her then, Leah. Kids think simply instead of analyzing everything like adults do...
Ok Green, let me put this is language you can understand: Ittiz at AA! (hehe)
Me too Those Kids!!
wolfpac...yeah, went down there last night, they locked the gates at 10 or 11...but there was plent of parking space on the way into the park
Kids, scout around here in The Cooler. There should Bee somebuddy that lives kind'a near you you could hunt with. Ask folks as you're out Digging.
Green: Are you going to see Ma Press tonight? Leah: If you listen to her, you might be digging around the playground for a while ;)
the bad thing Jordenn- she's thinks it's at Palace too!!
Leah, ask her what a man of steel is, lol
Do you seriously think it is at AA or is that some kinda inside joke or something.
sux for me!! I was so excited I completely forgot about buttons... and I think we recycled the paper... DAMN!!
Hi gang, any new thoughts since around noon?
anyone try to guess tonight's clue yet? We're unlikely to get what we want for information... I'm guessing it's going to be about picnic areas.... any other guesses out there?
If I find it you guys wil be pissed cuz it will only be worth $2500...aww well!
Leah, and wouldn't we all sheate our pants if she was RIGHT?!?!?! :) LOLOLOL
Tom, accepted. Why don't you join us all down there? There's gonna Bee a goodly sized group! Come on!
Kids, yuppers! I xpect to see you there!
Allison!!! 911!!! 911!!! HELP!!! I can't breathe I'm laughing so hard!!!! (high fiving Allison)
JS..
Where at? When?
Doc,Are you nuts? Maybe it was someone returning home from the synagogue?
I got a fortune with my Chinese food tonight "WHat is hidden in an empty box?"
Yeah - Tonight's clue will probably give us some HOT info like:
It's in a park where people like to walk....
Or It's at a park with alot of benches,,,
LOL
ooh, maybe it'll mention snow, step :)
Hay, SueBee!
Step, Allison izz as serious as a heart attack that The Med's in AA.
I'm just as serious - as a screen door in a submarine - that The Med is NOT in AA, but in either McMurray Field(s) or Highland.
Ittiz a differenc in mind-set and perspective, that's all.
Why do you young people always assume that someone's trying to throw you off when they're only voicing their take on The Clues? I don't understand this.
funny Stepp
or " if your still stumped..."
For the man of mettle i like perry como?? Any takers.
hate it.. i always end up falling alseep somehow, and when I wake up, it's morning!
dont like desoto for todays clue to be honest. im more happy with a reference to something still left of street cars, or the busiest line of all of street cars. the old and new shepard road comes to mine. even university (plus all the old classic cars by porkeys,ie iris), i just dont like desoto for an explination. but im sure theirs far more street names like that too
Or it will say: even a poor clue is food for thought.
animal, did you get my answers to the clues?
And memory lane--think songs--think perry como. Everything relates to perry como, if only there was a perry como park.

Alison, Whaat are you on?! I just drove by Arrlington and it's a stinkin' joke!!! It's not even a park, it's a waste of space. The only use for it would be a dump. My dad heard that hypodermic needles are being dug up.
Hey...Green....chill.
I didn't say ANYTHING about ANYONE trying to throw me off....I just wasn't sure if he was serious cause nobody mentioned that park yet....geez
Naw! Not nuts....excited! That amish guy really did the trick....im convinced! I got a fortune in a fortune cookie once that said..."He who walks through airport turnstyle sideways, is going to Bangkok." I wonder how they know that? weird.....
does anyone else out there thing that "lots of space" could be UNIVERSity ave? I'm not sure it just means a big open area
hey bruce, there is the MN Historical society on miss st. right by AA

people just tend to pick a park and make all the clues fit. i go with my first instincts. though so far this year, that means im still hunt'n at half dozen parks, my gosh!!!
