Un-Original? DAYAM!! that hurt! yeah, right. You see, i picked this name because I like ICP, I believe in the power of the dark carnival, and I believe that they will bring me and my homies the path on which we will follow a small line of peoples, who have each, in their own forthcomings done, what so many people, yet so few people have been able to accomplish....finding the medallion. And when that is all said and done and YOU ALL have witnessed the power of the gathering of the juggalos IN FULL FORCE, only then will we sit back and laugh at you....just you, "the one with the crap on your face"......Now until later my friends and evidentlly, my "crap faced" foe, I'm out, like peewees wang at the movies.

Actually, I think it is kind of interesting what the first clues don't say. Usually there is a reference to a park. Not a specific park, but the medallion is hidden within a park. All these clues have said is NOT ON PRIVATE GROUND, and a reference to PLAYING. Maybe Dunning Field, East/West 94.

What do you guys think?

I remember at Conway the second clue said something about sledding, but not to get too near. That was significant. So usually there is something in the first or second clue, sometimes both. If there isn't anything, then either you're not reading it right or its in a small park where there isn't much to say about it, which still tells you something.

I agree that you cannot discredit the first two clues, I think that this year is going to be completely unconventional. They want to make it impossible, espically after the debocial at Newell last year. Always looking for another meaning.

Honestly, I think as long as they have me on this side of the clues, they'll never have another long hunt again. Hopefully they'll realize soon that the only way to have the hunt last more than 7 days is to make me the clue writer! Unless I'm grossly misinterpreting the clues, I think I have a good idea where it is. I'm not going to announce it just yet here until I've had a chance to go back tonight and check it out. Although I did go into detail on it in my Yahoo club if you're a member of that.

I'll tell you my second choice though. Iris Park. The streets around it are East Lynnehurst and West Lynnehurst. There's no playground, but some of the tables do have checkerboards built into them for playing. Some of the tables there are round, and on an elevated part of the park. If the treasure was hidden by the wall, it would be out of view of those tables. Its never been there before, so one might be bold to look there. There is a lot of private property very close by. Also one might argue that an iris, the part of the eye, is circular. Its a small park, which in theory would make it harder to guess, plus would explain why they waste clues and two not saying a whole lot (because there isn't a lot to say).

So if its not where I think it is, this is the place I would head to next at this point.

Me Dave? Yes I met with them yesterday at the Conservatory and we shot some stuff. I took the cofounder of my singles club with me (who I met through the treasure hunt) and she had a lot of fun doing it too. Then I went over to Patrick McGovern's where they filmed some other people, but it was pretty noisy there. I may go back there tonight, though I wonder if they'll be there or if they'll be following people digging.

Fourth Annual (GASP! Has it been THAT long ALREADY?!) Pre-Dig Gig, Sat, Jan 19, 2002 - McGoverns! BE THERE!!!

From Jackie and Trent, of NAHF:

"First of all, thanks so much to everyone for coming out to Como Conservatory and McGovern's yesterday. It was great finally meeting and talking to everyone. We already have some great footage, and we're incredibly excited.

We want to apologize to anyone who we didn't have time to talk to. It's very challenging trying to talk to everyone, but before this hunt is over, we will make time to talk to everyone. Just please be patient with us.

Today (Wednesday) we are focusing on shooting people outside in parks either noodling or digging. We will be at Como Conservatory from 3:30 until 6 or possibly later. We are using the Conservatory as a "base," but we will more than likely be in the areas outside (by the frog pond, snow slide, etc.). We want to use the daylight to shoot more quickly.

We think we got enough footage of McGovern's last night, so we will NOT be at McGovern's tonight. Hopefully we will be out in parks "following" people.

Please leave us messages on our voice mail (612.676.2147) or call us on our cell (917.748.2963) and let us know which park you will be in and when. Leave any cell phone number or pager number where you can be reached.

Once again, thanks so much.

Jackie and Trent"

  • *********************************************************************

Please note change in filming schedule!!!

Outside filming at The Conservatory from 3:00 until 6:00 PM or so, and...

    NO filming at McGovern's tonight.

Microsoft technicians have been struggling since early Wednesday morning to return service to the company's main websites: Microsoft.com, MSN.com, MSNBC.com, WindowsMedia.com, Encarta.com and Carpoint.com.

The company's U.S. websites appear to be the victim of a problem with DNS routing, the database that translates the names of URLs to the actual number addresses of the servers where the Web pages are stored.

Ok, just to see what everyone else thinks. I'm thinking about being the good samaritan this year for the fellow hunters. By this, I mean that I'm thinking about providing hot apple cider and/or hot cocoa from the back of my Explorer. Possibly coffee at night! Also, some food with carbs to keep us going? I want to offer it free, but I wont complain if some people give me some money in return. What does everyone think? If you like the idea, give me an idea of what to have. If you know of any problems I may encounter, let me know

Ok, if you see me, i'll be a tall blond carrying a green canvas bag. Or, you can look for my truck (1991 Black 2d Ford Explorer) Be careful around my truck if i'm not there! My alarm is really sensitive. I'll have the hand warmers and granola bars on me and in my truck. As far as the hot apple cider, that will be in the truck. I will also have other things. If you want some apple cider and i'm "in the field", dont hesitate to ask me to open my truck. In case all of you didn't notice, I spend more time helping out (website for example) than actually hunting! If you have anymore ideas of what to carry, leave a message on my message board, since I hardly ever slog.

    Hello Everyone:

Just a thought. Mounds park is small, runs only east and west (I believe) along Hwy 94, has a few statues and monuments, and a very large depression or drop off to the train tracks that run along Shepard Road. The park is also located very close to the eastern border of St. Paul before going into Woodbury. Is located on top of the hill so you can see the Capital building etc. I have not seen anyone bring this park up Any thoughts?

The reference to circular thinking first made me think of Columbus Circle near the Capitol.A wild stab at best, but the clues thus far don't actually say the treasure's in a park this time-just public land.

The other clues don't really fit that location, except today's reference to depression could mean downhill on the Capitol approach. No bank nearby that I know of.

Hillcrest and the Highland Park area sound promising.
