Hey Everyone!
I am sooo burned out from working these clues! Heres my 2 cents... The
reference to bold could have something to do with the bold letters in the first
clue. Goodluck = Duck Logo. Ducks - Might Ducks - Hockey - Ice Arena or Hockey
Jersey... Just a thought. I'm not sure

3. Circular thinking can be one way of thinking
To the treasure that lies out of view
Your bank account won't be shrinking
If you can figure out this clue.
2. There's no need to destroy as you deploy
For the hunt in our wonderful town.
Golf courses and statues you must not annoy
And please steer clear of all private ground.
1. Go through the cold and prepare to be bold
Or you won't find the secret item
Our beloved St. Paul is the place for gold
Dig elsewhere and you'll search ad infinitum
Last year at Newell our fate was most cruel
Unfortunately the game ended too soon
Come now and prepare for a much tougher duel
Keep on your toes or you'll hunt until June

My humble opinion may lead to something: Circular thinking, i believe this is
reference to the ONE WAY street around Como Lake. It is round, or if you will, a
circle. Secondly, I believe the med will be found in a discarded bank deposit
envelope perhaps in a tree branch up high to keep one "on his toes"

This is what I mean; if I weren't so tired this might actually look like
circular thinking, but this is my idea!

take the word thinking and write the letters in a circle. It's circular
thinking.

all i can think about is hidden falls. some of the streets are circular and i
think one way, theres a us BANK across the street, and "out of view" could mean
hidden.
I'm still not ruling out Capitol Mall and Downtown St.Paul though.
Any thoughts to the meaning of "circular thinking"? Or why they used thinking
twice?

got to do with anything?]

I got booted off as well right after the clue came out. Personally I believe
"linking" is the correct one, even though the paper itself says "thinking". But
linking to something makes more sense than thinking to something, and I don't
believe they really would use the same word twice. Plus, its not the first time
this has happened. Two years ago the website said "two planes of equal
size whereas the paper said "two places of equal size".

Linking to something has an internet connotation. Hmmmmm, maybe we're in
search of the big WWW! (Some people may get that joke).

Clue 3 (obvious? - bank acct. will grow by 10K, 1ST Letters spell out CITY).
CIRCULAR THINKING - Letters in name (Como) - Skating rink (used 2 years ago) -
Fire Circle - Structures (oil tanks, water towers, domes of Cathedral and/or
Capitol - many used before) - Steet shape - Street name (Holecombe Circle etc.)
- Lake shape - Island Shape (Harriet) - Opposite (Square, Kellogg Square) - Air
traffic guide wire balls (Hidden Falls - used before) - Hidden In something
circular. BANK - Snow, River, 1st, any financial institution, hidden in a
deposit envelope. FIGURE - Figure skating rink (used before), also as in a
number like 0 - back to circular thinking. OUT OF VIEW - Hidden (Falls). VIEW -
Street name (Fairview). LINKING - (on-line version only) - Chain Link Fence, Web
Linking.
Hope this helps.

"It's a small world after all."
Well, Rice didn't look so good. I could have sworn that would be a good place
- because of the gold and the circles (like in Travis Smith who is the Gold
Medal winner of the Culinary Art Olympics (olympic circles-circular thinking)
who has a 2 member team that will be working on a special Korean War Ice
Sculpture Memorial commemorating the 50th Anniversary of the War (as in duel).
One way (as in street-so prevelant d.t.)of thinking (Rice Park borders the
Library), and Rice Park as in the clue about June (and June
weddings&throwing rice). Oh well, still a newby at this.
