Okay. It's not much, but it's all I've got right now. The use of the word "prepare" twice in the 1st clue. Couldn't they just as easily said "get ready"?

I'm also thinking about "steer clear" - perhaps there is a street name or area that could come close to meaning "avoid".

Like I said - it's not much, but it's all I've got right now!

Sorry Scribe for not answering (in case you hit reload one more time), yep I was the paper runner. Interestingly enough, they had four signs on door announcing the paper would come out at 11:00. About six people outside door at 11:00. At 11:15, the security guard buzzed us from inside asking why we were standing there. We said we wanted the new paper when it came out. He had no idea such a thing was planned. I found that kind of odd. At 11:21, a friendly fellow came out with about a dozen papers and said "Good Luck".

there are those of us who are pretty much here 24x7 except for actual digging time, who are doing slogging in real-time. it's kinda interesting if you pay attention to the posts that there are 2 or 3 separate crews here, and over the course of the hunting season, it more or less becomes one.

Suebee, congrats on your engagement! Electric and I are tying the knot in late September. A lot to do doesn't even come close to describing it but it's the best fun I've had in a while. Planning a huge party is way in my line of work so I'm really enjoying it. I've often said I want to go into event planning so this a natural for me. In the twin cities or elsewhere? Mine is a little bit of distance planning, in Duluth.

Yes Shoveler, that seems to be a common problem with Yahoo lately. There is a way around it. Go to the home page and right click on one of the messages you can't access. Choose "Copy Shortcut". Then go to the top of the browser where the URL is and paste it there. Then towards the beginning, replace "messages" with "post" and then hit enter and you can read it. Edit the number at the end of the URL to see other posts.
