It holds up until there is a park mentioned - or until the clues lead us to a park.

Terry, that's what I try to keep in mind. One clue may point you exactly to the park, that is until the next clue comes out. I was discussing Battle Creek yesterday since it's too obvious and they wouldn't dare tell us right away -- or would they???? They love to confuse us. Love the challenge! I was thinking more toward the capital since they said St. Paul not really Ramsey County. Only a few more hours until more confusion.

Daughter is the ace. She was the one that first had those earmuffs in her widdle hands.

This will be the first year she's digging since I made her put them back where she found them.

I still contend that if I had let her keep those, the medallion would still not be found. They would have fallen into the depths of one of her drawers or her closet never to be seen again.

Thanks. Yep, you could say all of these points can't handle a lot of traffic, but I think you probably couldn't convince the masses to hunt in such places. Also, they would be spread out on something like a bike path, and in the summer, they do get a lot of traffic. Just something to throw out.

The only reason I threw out the question of worth, was that if last year's contest was worth 10 grand, and this year's is also, why does that make it "harder" or more "remote"? or "non-park" sorry if there is way too much graphic "two-fingering"

Actually Ares, that town/ground bothered me too. If this is just a throaway, "don't hurt private property" clue, couldn't the writer come up with a more firm rhyme for ground? I have to believe the "our beloved St. Paul" from Clue 1, and "our wonderful town" from clue 2 is also redundant. Any thoughts?

So after slogging and pondering, I like the notion that 'keep on your toes' means it isn't on the ground this year. However with the known large snowfall, I'd think the sadistic medallion gods would enjoy watching us dig ourselves hernias (or is the plural of hernia, hernia?)

duane, what's out there ain't snow. it can be walked on without collapsing. i think backhoes and jackhammers may well be the order of the day if it was buried in mid-december (assuming it was even buried).

i'm still thinking keep on your toes is an indicator that it's not readily accessible by car. then again, i am one of the people who wrote that theory last night, so i may be biased :).

next theory. "...steer clear of all private ground." many of the parks immediately border private property. is this giving us a hint towards the location of the puck within the park? opposite the private land?
