this is un - be - fuc**** - believable.
Since when have they called a wheel a "machine". I think it's missing something. No doubt the clue -writers are tuning into us on-line and chuckling - hahahahaha we'll give 'em NP again - hahahahaha!!!!!
hey there pie man, if your gonna quote the great one then you will take that pie tin fill it full of monkey piss turn that sonbitch sideways and stick it straight up your CANDY ASS!!!!
Hey Allison, does fairview go along Newell?
I just drove by newell and theres a good number of people there
A taylor measures your frickin' clothes!!!
A wheel is a machine. One of the six simple machines all others are based on.
GB- there are wheels, that make up many many machines.
hey there pie man, if your gonna quote the great one then you will take that pie tin fill it full of monkey piss turn that sonbitch sideways and stick it straight up your CANDY ASS!!!!
I'm sorry, I was just thinking of Taylor as in a tailor - one who would measure clothes to fit, etc. That is where I got that thought. Probably wrong, but this is pretty much my 1st time doing this.
Kudos StepDogg!! Good one.
Gotta WAIT till clue number EIGHT!!
hey there pie man, if your gonna quote the great one then you will take that pie tin fill it full of monkey piss turn that sonbitch sideways and stick it straight up your CANDY ASS!!!!
Fairview is the Western border, Wheeler is the eastern border, and NEWELL lies in between
it's newell, pleasant scene = fair view, The street on the west side of the park
the spinning machine could be the space tower at the fair, which is near the park
hey there pie man, if your gonna quote the great one then you will take that pie tin fill it full of monkey piss turn that sonbitch sideways and stick it straight up your CANDY ASS!!!!
Golden Boy, there may not be a clue #8
dogg, I'm a little tired from diggin last night. You always this craby?
Here are some of the meanings of court, very interesting.
An extent of open ground partially or completely enclosed by walls or buildings; a courtyard. A short street, especially a wide alley walled by buildings on three sides. A large open section of a building, often with a glass roof or skylight. A large building, such as a mansion, standing in a courtyard.
Conway wasn't really a madhouse until clue 9 or so last year. Newell will be one as of now. If they reveal the park so early, does that mean they have it hidden so well that they expect it will possibly take hundreds of people 6 days of constant searching to find it?
court can also mean-An open, level area marked with appropriate lines, upon which a game, such as tennis, handball, or basketball, is played. The body of directors of an organization, especially of a corporation. A legislative assembly.
So in retrospect, anyone have a good explanation for clue #2?
IF THIS SO CALLED PLASTIC COIN IS REALLY OUT THERE THAN I WILL AGREE WITH THE M2K PERSON ITS BETWEEN THE NEEDLE AND THE SOUTH END OF NEWELL. AS FOR THE "FOUL" WORD DID ANY ONE THINK OF MIDWAY STADIUM. THATS BETWEEN. AIN'T IT?!?!?!?!?!? COME ON PEOPLE GIVE US ALL SOMETHING TO WORK WITH...
if it is newell i think it will be found by morning or tomorrow at least when we were there last year it didn't seem to be very big. it shouldn't take that long to find it.
That's right Allison - that's why I'm holding back. Although everything's pointing to NP - it just seems too easy. Then again because we have a lot of NEWELL PARKITES on-line, We've fallin for NP for a few years. COULD THIS FINALLY BE THE YEAR?
the only thing I can pull from 2 is ace=tennis, and maybe the rest refers to what it's hidden in???
How about Clue 6? (in reference to NP)
would they give out $10,000.00 in such a short amount of time?
IN YEARS PAST TERES ALWAYS BEEN PART OF OR A WHOLE CLUE THAT HAS THROWN PEOPLE FOR A LOOP. WHY NOT #2?
Harriet Island- court-for the courthouse. Its to the north - King Boreas's direction. And tonights cluse describes the paddleboat that is docked down there. Thats all I am telling. The other clues also point thre if you go there and look!
Lets face it - their in the business of sellin newspapers - they're going to stretch this out as long as possible. Especially with $10K on the line. Didn't some-one say earlier that they actually don't hide the treasure until after the first few clues are published?
Hi- I am on my way to Newell- try any other park- nothing at this point works as well... keep the fire burnin! The kids are comin- sleep deprivation- it is a beautiful thing! Bob- get the heck away from Mounds! Stay away from Jeff and Pie- they just don;t get the fun!
If you want to say its not at Newell, then you'll have to explain how the clues don't fit there, or fit somewhere better. My best guess was Iris, but even that is on the wrong side of Fairview.
Ok THis is what i like about CLUE #6!!! It says well-trained eye and stay out for the hunt or somethin like that, and well last year they had us completely fooled with the as well as the new thing. besides there is no such word as well-trained in the dictionary with the - in it. Its telling you to stay with Newell this time. if you mix the letters up it spells out Triad Newell=Try at Newell!!
don't know if i believe that, you would think that they would have to have it hidden prior to the start, before all the snow..... but then again maybe not..... and someone has to be watching it, to know when it is found..
eye = pigs eye lake visible from mounds!!!
cooking = childs borders mounds!!!
thanks Rob, I've been sleepwalking today. I did hear that - just forgot. & of course the tracks, mean RR
eye = pigs eye lake visible from mounds!!!
cooking = childs borders mounds!!!
Marc - your thought w/ foul meaning as in baseball is great! Now that is one that makes sense.
But Palace Rec Center would be in "Boreas direction" tho, wouldn't it? and there is Palace Avenue & Pleasant Ice Arena is not far from there according to the THG (Treas. Hunt. Guide) - as well as Spanky's Bar(rapscallion??) and near some schools which would would make sense "a lesson you need to apply" and "read this well".
Er, Rob, even if you're right, what does that change? It seems to me well-trained eye means one that is good at seeing trains, like the ones across Pierce Butler. Those were the "right tracks"
I SAY WAIT TILL TOMORROW MORNING AND EVERYBODY GET UP REALLLLLLLY EARRRRLLLY AND GO LOOK FOR IT OR YOU CAN SIT UP AND GET REALLY DRUNK AND THEN GO LOOKING FOR IT HELL YOU MIGHT JUST GET LUCKY WITH SOMEONE OR WITH FINDING "THE MEDALLION" TA TA FOR NOW
Sorry Annette it's not at Palace
My old hockey coach has worked for the pp for over 25 years, only 1 person is involved that is the clue writer and they also hide it and watch it. so don't beleive any other bullshit you hear.
I SAY WAIT TILL TOMORROW MORNING AND EVERYBODY GET UP REALLLLLLLY EARRRRLLLY AND GO LOOK FOR IT OR YOU CAN SIT UP AND GET REALLY DRUNK AND THEN GO LOOKING FOR IT HELL YOU MIGHT JUST GET LUCKY WITH SOMEONE OR WITH FINDING "THE MEDALLION" TA TA FOR NOW
well you can change the word astute to statue but the word means eagle eyes or keen meaning just look at the clues carefully
tracks by Mounds!
Ace = holman seen from Mounds
Vikings Depression = Warner Rd. runs by Mounds
Allison - I say go for it.
(First of all, don't confuse me with the imitation "stone cold" out there.)
Rob's Way, I think you nailed #6 on the button. Last year there was a clue for iconoclast. The clue WAS INTENDED to tell people to go to a park its never been to before. The 'stays on the attack' bit is a reminder for all of us who got suckered to Newell last year to stay there.
tracks by Mounds!
Ace = holman seen from Mounds
Vikings Depression = Warner Rd. runs by Mounds
ya but allison i mean the word is not in the dictionary so the PP put it like that for a reason
Ok enough of this Viking crap, they never say crap in the first 2 clues
Hey idiot I have been Stone Cold on here for the past 2 years. You are ROOKIE!
Never argue at the dinner table, for the one who
is not hungry always gets the best of the argument.
Rob - I think there are a lot of words that are not in teh dictionary. Besides, I think "well-trained", with the hyphen, is gramatically correct. (unlike this message)
Vikings depression = Warner?
First of all I JOKED about that one 4 nights ago. Second, if they wanted to refer to Kurt Warner, they wouldn't use Viking 'depression'. They would use something a little more meaningful. And finally, and most importantly, they are NOT going to point to a specific street in clue #1
The sad story is the clue writer is just not as clever as we want to believe they are. Its really only from our own imaginations that all these ingenious machinations come from. In the end though, clue 1 probably just means its in a park, and not on a golf course. Clue 2 might just mean the park has tennis courts. Clue 3, you can see two towers and the medallion is on the north side of the park (my take on it. After all they split Conway last year by saying to stay away from the sledding action). Clue 4 refers to the two picnic shelters (which really really gave it away, should have done more research to see how many parks actually had multiple shelters). Clue 5 was probably to say its near the State Fair. Clue 6 is probably just to suggest that train tracks are near. Somewhere in there you might find a hint of what it is hidden in, but it doesn't matter. Examine everything you find and after you find it, then figure out how the clue applied to it.
FROG bait MARC: GO TO bed!!
Hey stone cold whats your first name?
By the way, you know i wonder if that clue for with the read this clue carefully and it could get you cooking, well if you read it carefully there it spells out WARS! can that be used for anything?
Gee, ittiz so nice here in the Frog Pond!
Think next year I gotta find a happy medium - somewhere between reading too
much into the clues and not enuff! :/
Can anyone think of what a turning machine might be besides Wheeler or a merry-go-round?
JIM
ALLISON- Are you that good in bed?
I SEE THAT YOU ALL ARE STARTING TO GET THE PICTURE ABOUT MOUNDS . THERE IS A BIG ROTATING WHEEL OR "TOWER" AND TENNIS COURTS THOSE ALSO HAVE FOULS AND BESIDES THAT THE COURTS CAN ALSO BE FOULED THE ACE IN #2 COULD BE THE 1ST BANK BUILDING IN ST PAUL THEREIS ALSO A PAVILLION WITH BBQ GRILLS ACROSS THE ST. THE TURNING MACHINE BIT IS ONE OF THE TOWERS. PLEASANT SCENE IS THE CITYSCAPE AND THE RIVER. ITS BETWEEN THE TENNIS COURTS AND THE TOWER NOW GO FIND IT
Im not sure about this but Newell is by the state fair grounds right? and Allison you think its at Newell right?
Troy & Kitty -
A Mill is a turning machine - as in Milton Ave which runs into Pleasant Ave.
Perhaps to cure Viking depression, it will be hidden in something Viking! Like a hat or something.

JANE HERE!!
Will everyone please stop talking about clue 1! It means nothing at all!
Im going out to Newell tomorrow morning bright and early for the whole day! Anyone wanna join me and my friends tomorrow? Im bringin plenty of wood for a fire at night so if you see a fire tomorrow thats me
It's in a Tina Turner CD case- turning machine - hahaha- I'm going to bed
VIKING DEPRESSION IS THE SITE WHERE RED McCOMBES WANTED TO BUILD A STADIUM FOR THE LOSER VIKES(GO PACKERS!) THAT EXPLAINS THE MOUND AREA
Newell is close to the fair. Not next door by any means, but you can see the space needle or whatever its really called. I knew it was at Newell after clue 4. Then I talked myself out of it saying it was too easy. But now I find it obvious that its there and now sure how other people don't.
VIKING DEPRESSION IS THE SITE WHERE RED McCOMBES WANTED TO BUILD A STADIUM FOR THE LOSER VIKES(GO PACKERS!) THAT EXPLAINS THE MOUND AREA
LOGAN: Ya might wanna take some BEN-GAY to bed
with ya!!
Golden Boy I dig it. The turning machine could also be the light tower that is at mounds, it rotates.
VIKING DEPRESSION IS THE SITE WHERE RED McCOMBES WANTED TO BUILD A STADIUM FOR THE LOSER VIKES(GO PACKERS!) THAT EXPLAINS THE MOUND AREA
Hi all, took half an hour to get on this site
Marc, what "turning machine" at the tower at Mounds? It's just a tower, there's no turning wheel that I remember.
Though Rob, I still don't know where Devil's Den is (hehe)
VIKING DEPRESSION IS THE SITE WHERE RED McCOMBES WANTED TO BUILD A STADIUM FOR THE LOSER VIKES(GO PACKERS!) THAT EXPLAINS THE MOUND AREA
Logan - LOL
At Mounds there is a light tower, it is sort of like a lighthouse
Allison, how do you get Newell after #4?
Palidrome Joe!
VIKING DEPRESSION IS THE SITE WHERE RED McCOMBES WANTED TO BUILD A STADIUM FOR THE LOSER VIKES(GO PACKERS!) THAT EXPLAINS THE MOUND AREA
Second thought, stick around MARC, I'm beginning
to like you! If you must know I can't stand DeKnee GREEN and never have for
eight freaking years!!
Allison, sorry if you've gone over this already, but how do you fit "turning machine" in with Newell?
YEA HOWD YOU GET NEWELL AFTER 4
HI GREEN!
YEA HOWD YOU GET NEWELL AFTER 4
It sounded like they were describing a picnic shelter. Only they said places plural which impied more than one. Only three parks that I saw had more than one, Como, Cherokee, and Newell, at least where you could see more than one at a time. It was in Como and Cherokee too recently to be there so that left Newell. Later I discovered Phalen had some multiple ones so I thought Phalen for half a day until clue 5 sent me back to Newell or a facsimile thereof (Iris).
Hay, Stallion!!! :)
Hey woa, Allison? How did you know it was me about the Devils Den thing i mean i was under a totally different name.
Medallion stalion a turning machine = Wheeler st. which runs along the east side of Newell park
YEA HOWD YOU GET NEWELL AFTER 4
Most women have all other women as adversaries; most men have all other men as their allies.
Pleasant scene is fair view, turning machine is wheeler, the two streets that Newell lies between
A turning machine could also be a clock- the hands turn. Theres a clock overlooking rice park, and the sculptures make a pleasent scene. Not that i think its there, but you can still make the clues fit in several parks.
OK OK OK ITS PROBABLY NEWELL NOW GO TO BED
Wheeler St. = Turning Machine?
that seems to easy
Someone asked earlier where the Rock was and you said you were he.
OK OK OK ITS PROBABLY NEWELL NOW GO TO BED
t
x
We had Wheeler St. References way back in clue 2, assuming it is in Newell, so why spend a whole clue on the same street?
x
OK OK OK ITS PROBABLY NEWELL NOW GO TO BED
This whole thing seems too easy, but what else could it be? All the clues could fit several parks individually, but making them all fit is the hard part.
t
tr
thought rice park to after tonights clue, but i thought turning machine as to the ice sculptures and whatever they use to get them car ved out. but I am agreeing that newell it probably is, tomorrow night may throw us a completely different direction, it seems they would stretch it out a while longer for the amount of money
Thanks Stallion
rtrr
rtr
Wheeler in clue 2? I don't see that.
rtr
like the theory of "well trained" = triad newell.... when you use the same letters....seems logical enough to me
yyy
Oh i got ya, why did you ask for the rock anyways? Ok we got this baby down, pleasant scene=fairview, turning machine = wheeler, look north for the towers? or is the medallion supposed to be to the north? Allison just curious but what are the towers at newell?
still believe pleasant is the opposite of cloudy and fair... but cant figure out how pleasant fits newell... i understand the pleasant scene could be fair view but all that seems to fit too easy
Thanks for what GB?
What are you doing Pie?
A well-trained eye could mean Pig's Eye (only 1 eye). "If you want to be on the right track" - in Pig's Eye there are 2 RR's (CMSP P RR & Burlington Northern and you would have to pick the right one.
"well trained" = triad newell. I want to know who originally came up with this???
Big ol 3 LUCKY 7s comin at yall with ol BRONCO

hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
Thanks Werentany. Opposite IS Pleasant in #5
hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
can anyone call to see if it has been found yet?
Pie I was one of the first ones to come up with that, i think the allison guy was in on it too
hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
Wheeler in clue 2: Racing Metaphors> pace ( as in pace car) and chase
No such thing as Pig's Eye park, been there, done that, wasted 5 hours of my life tryign to find it, doesn't exist, sorry
hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
I didn't ask, someone else did. I just witnessed it, or maybe I slogged through it. I think the towers are the broadcast towers and the smokestack, even though they are to the west. When it said look (north?) it didn;t say specifically to look for the towers. It could have meant look for the medallion in the north, which is where the shelters and basketball court are anyway, not to mention its on the opposite side of the park from where it was last time.
hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
Ah.
Well, may as well spill my thoughts.
First of all, the ground Phalen Park's on was purchased in 1899 ('99) for
$22,000 (2000).
#1 has "profitable profession" - "pp" (Phalen Park) and rapscallion, which I
was SURE referred to Phalen himself.
#2 Phalen has the Boreas' race, car races and the Mater XCS race: "Set your
own pace and it could make you an ace." Also has "chase" and you chase in
races...
#3 There are two red lighted towers to the north of Phalen.
#4 "Some places to gain relief from the rain will serve - read this well -
you cooking." Both the beach house and the picnic pavillion serve food.
#5 Not only is Clear Avenue opposite Phalen, but ittiz an antonym for both
cloudy and foul.
#6 On the east side of Phalen is an old train bed. Can be seen clearly from
the the west side of the park.
Oh, well. There's always next year! :)
that is what i think golden... i think its the reinforcement that we were looking for in 5... toying with people about newell again... now telling them to leave there but thats only my mind lol no one seems to think anything but newell
Marc - why is yours posting 2 or more times? Are you doing that on purpose, and please - let's keep this clean......Thanks...
Can we please stop using profanity? This is a site to discuss the clues, not to have stupid fights, O.K.?
hey ROCK! YOU THINK YOUR ALL THAT ? WELL I SAY THIS AGAIN TAKE THAT PIE TIN AND SHINE IT UP REALLY GOOD FILL IT FULL OF MONKEY PISS TURN THAT SONBITCH SIDEWAYS AND STICK IT STRAIT UP YOUR PIE EATING ASS!
jeloba- Just called. Not yet.
STOP IT
You guys are idiots!
thanks flyfann.. tried to get my kids to go with me tonight but my 6 year old refused to rise, which i suppose is a good thing, we can wait until morning.
I like your thoughts Green, but doesn't that give to much away just in the first clue?
Could foul refer to the ducks and geese, like at Phalen?
On the bright side, the media may not expect a frenzy yet and may not advertise to everyone where it is.
Does anyone moderate this? I cannot stand the use of profanity myself....jeez - this is supposed to be fun!
What is the buzz crew????
Just get me to the promised land and I'll hit the
sack!!!
Hey Green -
I grew up right near Phalen and you're right. That's what I was talking about - NEWELL may be dodge - a diversion. If Allison can figure it out after Clue #4 then it can't be there. After clue #8 the peices really start to narrow down the park. That's good stuff on Phalen - I'll do some noodlin'
yea...they deleted pie's ignorant comments....and quit using those ugly huge fonts you moron
What is the thoughts ....anything new....Green "Clear" was that so hard to say yesterday?
I think someone does moderate it, but not sure if its all the time. Someone a few days ago was posting all kinds of advertisements and someone else was deleting them about as fast as he could post them.
Hey...Let us talk MEDALLION here...
Mac, the census pretty much says newell
HEY SORRY MY BUDDY WAS ON HERE FOR AWHILE AND HES HES PRETTY WACKED THAT PHALEN DEAL SOUNDS KINDA GOOD PLEASE GO ON.
Annette: I really didn't start it, I tried to stop
it but it made it worse! SORRY!!!
MacGrove- Buzz is, Newell seems to fit the bill for most. I haven't heard any other suggestions, aside from Phalen.
It seems that its at Newell though some refuse to be converted.
HEY SORRY MY BUDDY WAS ON HERE FOR AWHILE AND HES HES PRETTY WACKED THAT PHALEN DEAL SOUNDS KINDA GOOD PLEASE GO ON.
Please spell out why...in the meantime I will spell out my why for Mounds...stronger than ever!
i drove by there around 12:30 and it seemed to have a hundred people or so
I came up with Triad Newell.... if thats what was meant by the clue than YOUR ALL WELCOME... i just pulled newell from it and jumbled the rest in a webpage anagram machine... triad was the *only* word that came up....!!!
HEY SORRY MY BUDDY WAS ON HERE FOR AWHILE AND HES HES PRETTY WACKED THAT PHALEN DEAL SOUNDS KINDA GOOD PLEASE GO ON.
pleasant scene = fair view, the street on the west border of the park.
Can anyone make the last clue fit at Phalen?
How do clues 6 and 7 work for Phalen?
#7: Turning machine and beautiful scene court and inbetween....
The airport beacon (tower) at the top of the bluff in the park "TURNS CONSTANTLY) Great view from the bluff...Tennis courts directly across the way in full view!
besides believing its not at newell.... i also believe that the measure will have something to do with the word pace... a pace accually has a numerical amount of space to it.... 3.3 feet or so and up to 5 feet in roman measurment
I deleted those myself because MARC was out of
control and I was trying to show him how ignorant he was being!!!
Newell is to obvious!
Well - things seem back to normal. Pie - I know you weren't trying to make things worse - glad we can all continue the Medallion talk.......talk on....<rock on..>
Stallion, Phalen's a big park... Maybe that's why 'so much'
in #1. I don't know.
And notice in every single clue, there's two of everything...
I really thought I had it.
And that truck that kept driving past Wed. nite... SHEESH! Maybee I'm lucky
to bee alive!!!!
the turning machine could have something to do with the space needle at the fair, which is north of the park
The simple explanation:
Clue #1- In a St. Paul park, not on a golf course.
Clue #2- Still not 100% sure myself. Might just mean the park has tennis courts.
Clue #3- There are a couple of towers visible from the park (attempt to be sneaky coming up) Look for the MEDALLION in Boreas' direction (north by my interpretation).
Clue #4- The park has multiple picnic shelters
Clue #5- The park is near the State Fair
Clue #6- The park is near train tracks
Clue #7- The park lies between Fairview (pleasant scene) and Wheeler (a turning machine).
GOOD POINT!
I can't get #7 to fit, Stall, but #6 - there's an old train bed to the east
of Phalen. Even overlooks the car racing 'track.'
It's at NEWELL For the love of god!
Here's the thing I don't like about Newell, aside the fact that it's NEWELL AND WE ALL ( or some of us) FELL FOR IT LAST YEAR!
#5- opposites atract, cloudy and foul= fair> fairview
#7 - pleasant scene> fairview
Why would the clue writer reiterate what's already been said?
SOMEONE ELABORATE ON MOUNDS SOME MORE PLEASE HEY PIE DUDE SORRY ABOUT MY DINK OF A FRIEND. HES PRETTY OUTOF IT . SORRY AGAIN TO EVERY ONE.
Allison - How does Clue #5 relate to the state fair?
Did you know you can rent Rowboats at Phalen? How does this new clue work with Phalen???
Wheeler...excellent!
SOMEONE ELABORATE ON MOUNDS SOME MORE PLEASE HEY PIE DUDE SORRY ABOUT MY DINK OF A FRIEND. HES PRETTY OUTOF IT . SORRY AGAIN TO EVERY ONE.
So idiots might have a chance to figure it out!!
SOMEONE ELABORATE ON MOUNDS SOME MORE PLEASE HEY PIE DUDE SORRY ABOUT MY DINK OF A FRIEND. HES PRETTY OUTOF IT . SORRY AGAIN TO EVERY ONE.
pace can be a rate of speed or "one foot in front of the other measuring", ace could mean "one"
SOMEONE ELABORATE ON MOUNDS SOME MORE PLEASE HEY PIE DUDE SORRY ABOUT MY DINK OF A FRIEND. HES PRETTY OUTOF IT . SORRY AGAIN TO EVERY ONE.
Wheelock Parkway goes past/through Phalen!
medallion opposite of cloudy and foul is Fair as in the State Fair
Fair is the opposite of both foul and cloudy.
Green, do you still think Phalen? Sounds like you've given up on it.
night all!!
well i'm out for the night, happy hunting all!
Yeah, it does Tom.
Another meaning for court is to date.
hold on Marc
wheelock would not be turning. it would be locked.
the opposite of cloudy is not fair.... why dont u people get that... if a weatherman says its fair to partly cloudy.. then if there opposites.. thats a double negative weather report ... i know they lie but come on...
HOPE YOU ALL HAVE A FUN TIME IM GOING FOR THE MEDALLION RIGHT NOW!!!
hey Mr Allison im goin to bed cause i have a big day tomorrow, are you goin out there tomorrow?
medStallion,... its not reiterating anything... cloudy foul meant THE FAIRGROUNDS....
There is aslo this court type thing by the Pavallion at Phalen! It arches and has a round forum in the middle.
later
OK WAIT IM HOLDING ON WHAT YOU NEED MAN?
Yes I'm going out tomorrow morning, and fair is the opposite of cloudy. Fair to partly cloudy means between none and some. Cloudy is completely cloudy. So fair (no clouds) is the opposite of cloudy (all clouds).
OK WAIT IM HOLDING ON WHAT YOU NEED MAN?
tommorow
Maybe ill see you out there, well talk to you all tomorrow morning if any of you will be on. Well goodnight everyone if ya smell what im cookin?
fair is only the opposite of cloudy to those who believe its in newell... look up cloudy and fair and they do not have opposite meanings
Rob'sWay- St. Fair or Fairview, both clues 5 and 7 would be refering to each of them if it is at Newell. My question is why refer to them twice? In separate clues? Doesn't make sense, not in the way the clues have been written for the past 10 years where each clue HELPS build upon the others, NOT repeats them.
That's my whole trouble with Newell . . .
AW
I love your thoughts so far, but could you elaborate further? Pretend you know for sure that you are right and explain everything to a tee
Well this is the year 2000 and things could be different by the way has it ever been at newell yet?
I just got a call from my friends out digging in the snow and they said someone drove through the park holding something that looked like the medallion and were screaming that they found it. Is there a number to call to see if it has been found or somewhere on the web to check it out?
#5 refers to the State fair only. Most jumped the gun to include Fairview, but Fairview was not referenced until Clue 7
Found in Newell 1984, near Hewitt Ave and Wheeler St.
People do that cruel crap every year.
It was at Newell in 1984.
What do you want elaborated on? To be honest, at this point I suspect there isn't much more and all the other things we've come up with are accidental coincidences.
YES YOU CAN CALL 6512285464
Hey Allison do you think it could be wrapped in newspaper? you know with that read this well thing?
I'm with you, Stall.
And why "FAIR"view and "WHEEL"er???
Last year, "a row of trees" - wood row - was Woodrow. Not, "Wood" Wilson. Not
"Row" Wilson.
Know what I mean? And a "well-trained eye" going to MASH to Hawkeye to Pierce
Butler is like really going on and on.
Well-trained means a well train-traveled train bed, as well as make sure
you're eye's seeing the *correct* track.
I'm sorry, but in #5 the clue gets you to the word "Fair" and you can assume "Fairgrounds" and/or Fairvew.
I don't really believe the fairgrounds have much to do with it personally. I would read "fairview" from both 5 and 7, cause it is more prominent than the fairgrounds.
According to my dictionary, fair means "cloudless". I didn't look up cloudy but I assume it means "with clouds"
Newell is dug up
HEY ALLISON I DO AGREE IT SEEMS THAT TERE ARE TO MANY PARKS AND NOT ENOUGH CLUES OR REAL DESCRIPTIONS TO GO BY
clear means unclouded not fair
My head hurts
Medallion have you ever thought that maybe they will do the Fair or fairview thing a couple clues because its not a big park considered to the likes of phalen or como or highland?
I certainly thought it was wrapped in newspaper when I found that paper at Iris. My guess is it has something to do with the Vikings. Why else bother bringing them up? Just a guess though.
Clue 5 only said Fair. You could jump to Fairview, which is probably bad writing on the cluewriter's part, but I believe they only meant to look for a park in the vicinity of the Sate Fair. I don't think they meant to give you a street name already.
pleasant scene = fair view
turning machine = wheeler (as in an 18 wheeler)
make the right measure = taylor
there u be... im working on a cool map of newell as we speak
Didn't they call a playground a "pleasant view" once in years past?
Yeah, Green, I'm with you on the "well trained eye" thing too. I thought along with "read this well" the clues were pointing to an anagram or hidden meaning of some sort. But I couldn't find anything like it!
