Don't feel alone StepDogg...I can only somewhat relate one clue to Newell and that would be Clue #5

Look through the postings of the last two days for info on Newell... it's been picked to a bloody pulp. I am still on Newell, but any thoughts on Battle Creek and "attack"? Could there be Pig's Eye tracks around there?

hunt's over i know where it is I just have to find it........ :-)

I think people are reading too much into these clues i just spent 2 hours slogging.... Not all of the clues pertain to whats in the park or where at in the park it is located (in my opinion) some of these clues could be what it is in.... the cloudy and foul reference might just be that cloudy and foul what in st paul is always cloudy and foul?

"LET PIE SPEAK"

I just came back from a major scouting trip and have ruled out BATTLE CREEK Off 61! It is now officially off the "A" list!

I've narrowed it to 3 starting with first preference!

1. SWEDE HOLLOW (never been hidden there - newly remodeled)

2. NEWELL (hidden there once or twice pretty small)

3. PHALEN (Ready to bite the dust any minute)

You may ask me why, and I will probably say WHY NOT!!

Logan -- the only things i don't get about linwood is

1) Pleasant is the opposite of cloudy, but how is it the opposite of "foul"???? Do you mean like "foul mood" = pleasant mood?

2) Everything you look at is to the west, not north.

Bet I'm starting to like linwood more and more, just need a little convincing.

Went to Swede Hollow(close to work) and here were my observations. The bldg at Payne and Minnehaha has a Vikings flag at half-mast. The gas station across the street is a "Marathon"(set your own pace). Other corner is police station - ref to #2 "So get yourself out and into the chase" ... "loot". South on Payne towards 7th is "St.Paul bar and restaurant equipment store - #4. "Serve" ... "get you cooking".

Was Theodore Hamm or son a previous King Boreas?

I was at SWEDE:

Here's what I found:

Streets: North, Tedesco, Prebble, Drewell, Beaunont, Hopkins, Payne, Petit, and e. 7th, Edgerton!

Sign on MMC says COOKIN!

Two towers at entrance and alot of tower by HAMMS!

CHURCH, Police Station, Railroads, College, ETC.

No ones been there and it is a pretty cool place!

It used to be the pits and is now a really cool park!

You can get out of the rain by the entrance under the bridge!

It seems possible just because it's new, never been, and one of the coolest spots in the city with alot of history!!

Swede Hollow Park, which is also on St. Paul's East Side, is a former residential and industrial area that was converted to park land beginning in 1973, when neighborhood residents and the St. Paul Garden Club collaborated with the city's Parks Department to create a city park. The park continues to be improved by a partnership of people, including Friends of Swede Hollow, the Parks Department, Department of Natural Resources, and Greening the Great River Park. The park is located in a secluded drainage ravine significantly below the grade of surrounding neighborhoods with four access points, and consists of natural areas; including Phalen Creek, historical sites, and a recreational trail. The park's trail is part of the Phalen Creek Trail that runs through the Phalen Corridor, connects to Lake Phalen and will connect with the Willard Munger Trail that goes all the way to Duluth. Phalen Creek is a major feature of this park, especially because the creek is buried in a storm sewer pipe for most of its length.

Alright. Once again, Swede sounds like a very good option. The "Relief from the Rains" clue could very well have to do with drainage and topographical relief, of sorts, which is exactly what is found at Swede.

Just a minor point. If you criticize people's ideas too harshly, even if they seem really stupid, you may keep someone else who has a genuinely good idea from saying anything because they are afraid it will also be considered stupid. Besides, some of these theories are genuinely entertaining.

Hi- I know I am very new to this searching thing (2nd year) but I have some theories I hope are right. I figure that since you have all given me a lot of St. Paul info I didn't know, I should give you mine. And, I don't have much time to hunt this weekend since I am working on my thesis, I figured someone on this web site should find it.

Iris Park Clue 1, park in St. Paul. Clue 2, Pace - University Ave (old cars in summer) and Ace - old Ace bar down the street. Clue 3, lots of taller buildings, car repair near by. Clue 4, gain relief from rain under the overhangs at Porkys, cooking at porkys. Clue 5, opposites attract - Iris is on both east and west Lynhurst, Clue 6, well trained eye = Iris

Dunning Clue 1, park in St. Paul. Clue 2, pace = running track, astute = statue, there is a sculpture right next to park, ace = archery targets. clue 3, there is a building right to the north that looks like 2 buildings (not sure of name). Clue 4, relief from the rain under the grandstand covering the bleachers and concession stand for cooking also serve in tennis or volleyball. Clue 5, there are 2 ball fields that are exactly opposite each other, foul = foul ball. Clue 6, well trained and lesson = school (three schools around park), eye and attack could be about archery again.

Good luck all and thanks for all of your help.

Yep it is cold out here, you know I didn't like Newell, but someone convinced me of it this morning, there was some off screen talk that pretty much guarantees me that it is there.

Terry, and Troy what does this clue mean i mean ive been trying to figure it out. Does it mean look back at clues to find something like the WARS spelling in clue 4?

Join my treasure hunting club at http://clubs.yahoo.com/clubs/theallisonwonderland for future hunts during the year (well at least 1)

Terry, if the clue read, "Go to Newell Park and you will find the Medallion", people would still question what they meant by go.

Predig gig- Saturday, January 19th- McGovern's!

My interpretation of today's clue has nothing to do with the WARS thing.

I'm thinking more that it's hawkeye as in pierce (MASH) as in Pierce Butler.
