Well its off to do homework that I can be here for the next clue. Darn College. They should call it off for these few days.

Queen: The pair of TV transmission towers in Shoreview at about 694 and Victoria. They're visable at night from most of the city, given that nothing is obstructing the view. In fact, from the Transitway parking lots at the U, they're plainly visible. I want to say they're visibl at night from the South end of Phalen, but I've never really cared enough to pay attention. Admittedly, they are indeed a stretch.

My feelings are *still* with Swede Hollow. There are many towers visible from there - that's the clue that fits best (besides "Viking Depression"). I drove through Phalen - I can't make it work for me. There were a few people digging there. No concentrated areas. Some were going through the BBQ's.

Good observation, high. I read that clue and took it that the 9 and 5 would be near each other, and the 4 would be visible, but not near the 9 and 5. Big mistake, but it was relevant, because not only was the address 459, but they also referenced the backstop number with the 4 (so the explanation says).

Well I think i have figured this crap out. I work at the Highland Golf Course and know highland park from the back of my hand. In one of the clues it says "Serve" and "Ace" Well of course that would be Tennis and there are tennis courts at highland. Then if you look North from that point you can make out the water towers on hole number 5. Then the shelter from Rain is the pavilion that they have.

I'll let you know in a little bit, just finishing researching a few more items!

Well here we go with my Highland speal...

Clue #1 - As always no meaning, just TO say it's in St. Paul and to stay off the damn golf courses (hinting it's at a park with a G.C.)

Clue #2 - I refer set your own pace to cross country skiing on the G.C. - Ace belongs to the par 3 hole directly behind the blue water tower - last 2 lines have no meaning.

Clue #3 - This is the most important clue by far - A tower or 2 should come into view in King Boreas direction...with King Boreas direction being north...if you drive north on Sneeling coming from West 7th St...you come over a huge hill, as you go over the hill, almost directly to the north you see the first big blue water tower, after a couple seconds the 2nd large blue water tower comes in to view after being hidden by the first. Meanwhile this all taking place almost directly to the north. Note: the clue says it will only be helpful if you are looking in King Bores direction.

Clue #4 - the clue to me refers to the 2 different G.C.'s...each having a clubhouse to GET OUT OF THE RAIN, also there is a large BBQ area to the east of the Frisbee Golf Course

This is just a hunt but I have noticed that all the activites listed in my explanations surround the Frisbee golf course...cooincidence? I think not : )

Anyway...let me know if I have sold you on highland or if you see any flaws in my devious plan!

"Those who know, don't say; those who say, don't know"

A long, long time ago, Astraios, the god of Starlight, and Eos, the goddess of the Rosy Fingered moon, were wed. The union was blessed with five sons: Boreas, Titan, Euros, Zephyrus and Notos. As the eldest, Boreas was granted the title of ``King of the Winds.''

As ``King of the Winds,'' Boreas assigned to each of his brothers a permanent grant of great force and power. To Titan was assigned the blustery North Wind. To Euros was granted control of the irresponsible East Wind. To Zephyrus was given custody of the bountiful West Wind. To Notos was presented the balmy but unstable South Wind. The brothers cavorted gaily over land and sea.

Boreas, while on his extensive travels, came upon a winter paradise known as Minnesota. He paused to behold the enchanting beauty of a magnificent group of seven gently sloping hills in whose embrace nestled a beautiful city. Boreas whistled in sheer ecstasy: ``Historic St. Paul and her seven hills! An ideal place. I will make St. Paul the capital of all my domains. It will henceforth be emblazoned to the world as the winter playground of the Realm of Boreas.''

Meanwhile, Vulcanus Rex, the god of Fire, and the implacable enemy of Boreas, crackled in defiant disdain. ``By the great sword of Mars I will temper the blusterings of Boreas with the heat and roar of my forces.'' He was tireless in his bitter resistance to all the festivities of Boreas.

Undaunted, Boreas proclaimed a celebration in the spirit of gay Carnival. ``So be it!'' shouted Boreas, ``There will be a carnival in old Saint Paul!'' Boreas selected a Prime Minister to coordinate preparations in all the Principalities, Provinces and Royal Houses within the realm of St. Paul.

And so, for 10 glorious days, there was a Carnival and joyous celebration in St. Paul -- feasting, dancing, fun and frolic reigned over by Boreas and the Queen of Snows, the fairest maiden of the realm, along with the four Winds, who were each accompanied by a lovely Princess from the realm of Boreas. Klondike Kate, a lady of song and merriment, added her sassy but enchanting voice to the festivities by singing songs of desire and sentiment.

On the 10th day of celebration, Vulcanus Rex and his Krewe stormed the magnificent Ice Castle and confronted the King's Guard. Upon the good counsel of the Queen, Boreas bade farewell to the people of his winter capital. In the interest of peace and goodwill, he returned to dwell among the gods of Olympus. Boreas and his court looked forward to the time when summer's warmth would once again relinquish its hold on the realm and the frosty atmosphere of winter would prevail.

And I would have gotten away with it too, if it weren't for ThoseMedallingKids!!

I know there has been some talk about the golf course portion of the clues, but wasn't there a part that said stay away from the golf course? But Conway didn't have a golf course. I think this year's clue about the golf course does not mean that its at a park with a golf course, but just for the protection of all golf courses from overeager diggers.

lets face it CDH was good in football this year. but they cant prove they are a powerhouse until they play in a tough conference. Or at least play a difficult non-conference schedule. THis year Wayzata came back and took them to the wire on their home field. FYI: Joe Mauer=Overated
