...is happy that Art Bell is back.

Jodi--you have definitely found the pastime to introduce yourself to the finer of the two Twin Cities!! When does Mpls have their festival? In July! Milk Carton Boats aside, the Aquatennial is Lame! Join us, be one of us, come to the dark side.........

Personally, I like the idea of the big Red One--(visible outside My window) and being near the new arena---To cure Vikings obsession. That's all I've got.

Welcome, Just! This izz my third year. I've watched WW grow in to a man... Been nice.

My slant?

Clue #1:

"Rapscallion" izz important. And also, stay off the golf course. "Profitable Profession" may/may not be important... I'm still noodling that one.

Clue #2:

"Set your own pace and it could make you an ace"... Combined with "chase." Nuttin' else in this clue matters.

Yust another opinion!

I think you may have something to consider Dave. I was thinking the "profitable profession" thing might be something. Like a park around professional buildings (Downtown). Astute might also be something pertaining to State (Capital-downtown).

Medallion2K - I found one and tried that avenue, but there are about 500 parks in St Paul. I found several categories, Regional parks, community parks and neighborhood parks. Since I'm at work the exact site is unknown to me, but I will be home around 9:00 and have it bookmarked. Will let you know if someone else doesn't before then.

Hi everyone. Had to catch up on the last 150 posts. You guys have got it really bad. I've been off and on all day and it amazes me how much you have talked about. Anyway, I looked up on the St. Paul City Guide which can be viewed on line. It lists Indian Mound and uses the words "2000 year-old mounds". I'm really stretching it, but year 2000 and 2000 year-old.

Earlier someone brought up the fact about P-ace, A-ce, C-hase being the first letters of packers. And of course their was a reference to the vikings. Since "Sherman" Lewis is coming from the packers to the vikings to replace Ray "Sherman", could Sherman have anything to do with anything?

Tim, I think that you might be really, really, really, reading too much into the clues. I'll give way to the "Wilds" idea since the team will be here soon and located in St. Paul. My theory of the Vikings is that it's just the fact that who ever writes these things, is a Viking fan and very disappointed.

I also visited the other person's site, it's great also. However, if you want to join in the discussion, please do so we can use all noodling. Tim, I didn't mean to hurt your feelings, but I don't believe PP would really base their clues off of a sports team and make up different versions of the clues just in case.

I was just noodling about Holman Field. Is it part of the airport or is it located by it? I'm just looking for maybe a new possible location.

I'm not quite sure, but I think Battle Creek is a fairly large park. I would think that with a large park like Como, they would identify it in the first 5-7 clues, then pinpoint with the remaining clues. If its small like last year, then they'll drag out the identity of the park until towards the end. So its hard to tell now.

Hey there Derrick, the page you have created is good and appreciated, but don't try to steal the thunder...you really do spend more time trying to get people over to your board than you do helping with the clues. My problem, when on your chat room last night, is that few were chatting about the hunt...and plus it's just a phrase, then it's gone...Its not like you can see detailed messages dealing with people's ideas, including all of the previous thoughts....Please chill. A blonde wanted to go treasure hunting. She'd seen many books on the subject, and finally, after getting all the necessary "tools" together, she made for the nearest frozen lake. After positioning her comfy footstool, she started to chop the ice Suddenly---from the sky---a voice boomed, "THERE is no TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!" Startled, the blond moved further down the ice, poured a Thermos of cappuccino, and began to chop yet another hole. Again, from the heavens, the voice bellowed, ""THERE is no TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!" The Blond, now quite worried, moved way down to the opposite end of the ice, set up her stool, and tried again to chop her hole. The voice came once more. ""THERE is no TREASURE UNDER THE ICE!"

She stopped, looked skyward, and said, "Is that you, Lord?" The voice replied, "No, this is the Manager of the Ice Rink!"

Well Shovel, the park is way too unclear. My early guess is that it is hidden in a card box. Would fit very nice and a card box is very small.

the only problem with the deck of cards theory that people have been saying is if you read the whole line....."it could make you an ACE" so how could you be a deck of cards??? I am thinking the whole ace thing is just saying set the pace and you will win (hence ace)

how many medallion hunters does it take to screw in a lightbulb?

I should be working on a college paper due tomorrow, but here I am pondering THE HUNT. My two cents: you're all reading way too much into it early on. It is possible that "ace" simply refers to a tennis court. If you were the clue writer, wouldn't you enjoy writing something simple, knowing that everyone would misinterpret it? I know creative thinking is needed to figure things out, but don't go overboard (remember last year, when everyone tried to figure out how the clues pointed to the "devil's den" at Newell...).

The place is Newell, you can trust me on that; when have I ever been wrong? It all fits: the tennis courts, the fact that Newell's region of St. Paul is due for the Medallion, and the fact that my reasoning is always right! (Who can forget my location of the Franco-Ojibway War's key battle in Como in '96?)

I know it is quite a stretch but I figured I would throw it out anyway. I was at the mall tonight and a picture of snoppy caught my eye. It was Snoppy sitting on top of his dog house with the caption "flying ace". Do you think "ace" in the clue has anything to do with Peanuts? After all the guy behind it did retire this year.

Yea and its not considered public property. I just meant that maybe peanuts is tied in somehow with the ace thing. Maybe buried in something or a huge dog house as a landmark. I don't really know. But you know how these people that are behind the clues are.

All clues point to palace? There have only been two! Heh, the clues could be interpreted to fit a lot of parks. Basically its sit and wait for the next clue, and then retrospectively go back to tie the old clues in with the new guesses as to where its hidden..
