Were definitely avoiding the topic of the clues themselves. We're going to have to sign off if noone can add any insight... Edit MessageDelete Message

why is it taking so long to pinpoint the darn park?!? Edit MessageDelete Message

B-Dog - 07:00pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3807 of 8457)

The medallion is in Mounds park out in the middle of no-where waiting for the clues to pin-point its location. Every clue fits. Once again, "kids like to zoom" is childs road. Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:00pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3808 of 8457)

As I said before, "rosebud" is the name of the sled in Citizen Kane, There has to be a sliding hill near ground zero. Edit MessageDelete Message

You know, like some burst of revelation about the exact location of the medallion. Edit MessageDelete Message

How do the pyramids fit into Mounds???? Edit MessageDelete Message

speterson - 07:03pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3814 of 8457)

Does anyone think it is at Mounds and the three pyramids is the swingset? Rose bud could either mean Thorne Street or by a rosebush. Edit MessageDelete Message

No, I think silver. Also lines of double division could be the sign for Division of Parks and Recs. Edit MessageDelete Message

You can see the Capital Dome and the Cathedral Dome from Cherokee. Edit MessageDelete Message

dome at cherokee looks like it could be the capital or cathedral Edit MessageDelete Message

Bailey - 07:07pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3822 of 8457)

is Cherokee considered a sledding place? I was there and it seemed wimpy for that. Edit MessageDelete Message

Been There Dug That - 07:08pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3823 of 8457)

I think the pyramids are more obvious at Cherokee than at Mounds. There were alot of people at Cherokee today. How many people were at Mounds today? Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:09pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3824 of 8457)

I fugured "rosebu" meant sled because when kids go sledding they "zoom". Also, rosebud is a noun "a" rosebud could still give pleasure, like sledding fun. Edit MessageDelete Message

Spence - 07:10pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3825 of 8457)

It has to be at Cherokee the pyrmids are to perfect with the smoke stack as the main thing you see and the double division anapolis ST divides the city and county lines. Also the sliding hill Edit MessageDelete Message

kollin stevens - 07:11pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3826 of 8457)

567 people at mounds 8 at cher... Edit MessageDelete Message

There were a lot of people at Mounds today. But most of the park is already dug up. Edit MessageDelete Message

Bailey - 07:11pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3828 of 8457)

Spence, WHAT sliding hill? I'm still trying to figure that out. Is this the hill to the right of the 'pyramids'? Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:13pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3829 of 8457)

Is there a construction site in view at Cherokee? Edit MessageDelete Message

Clare - 07:13pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3830 of 8457)

As I was reading the clues from last year it seemed pretty clear that the park was obvious by the 4th clue! Plus streets were named and the general area of where to look once in the park by the 8th clue. We have to assume that with the clues that we have, they have givin us the park plus a street name...now, lets figure it out. Edit MessageDelete Message

Bailey - 07:13pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3831 of 8457)

joe, not that I saw. why do you ask? Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:14pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3832 of 8457)

reason I was askin' was that "demo" could be demo-lition, and the large object could be a crane (w/ wrecking ball). Edit MessageDelete Message

Spence - 07:15pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3833 of 8457)

no it is the hill by anapolis st it has been used as a sliding hill for over 30 years and it is wimpy. Edit MessageDelete Message

In the fifth? clue it mentions we have to "crack the code" I think that there is more to crack than that clue it's self. Its possible that the clues after that one has "codes" and thats how we pinpoint our park.???? Edit MessageDelete Message

have any of u come to think that it might not be in the snow. In '90 or somewhere around that it was at Highland park, in a log type thing, hanging in a tree. Oh ya by the way, way back in the park of mounds are 3 shaped pyramids that u can see down the hill about 20 feet. To me i think that it is there. what do all of u think? Edit MessageDelete Message

All of u r talkin about how "Rosebud" is a sled. To me the medallion is hidden in a altoid box or in a little sled key chain. And all of u r saying kids zooming is to be meant by sledding? I highly doubt it. Maybe kids zooming could be refering to a street by mounds called "Childs Road"? Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:33pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3845 of 8457)

Yeah, I'm looking at a map here, ya know. And I seen lots of parks, but ders only one. What was dat someone was sayin' about a city and county line of division? Edit MessageDelete Message

clue 3 points to sledding thats easy to figure out and the double division has to with some reference near the treasure maybe a side walk or something. Edit MessageDelete Message

kollin stevens - 07:48pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3850 of 8457)

think the medallion is at cher. parknear the tree that is slpit in two, it is near the tree hidden in a rosebud box! Edit MessageDelete Message

Mama Ozzy - 07:49pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3851 of 8457)

I was out and about earlier today... At that time, there looked to be a few more people at Cherokee than at Mounds... I don't want to believe it is at Cherokee, but checked it out anyway. Got out of the van at Cherokee and walked around a bit (with shovels in hand) to see what we could see... We happened upon a spot where we were surrounded on all sides by the clues... Until the next clue comes out, I guess I would have to say Cherokee... Edit MessageDelete Message

Josh Wright - 07:50pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3852 of 8457)

Kollin>> Sounds most Logical, but the medallion is more probably in Mounds. Edit MessageDelete Message

Rob Norris - 07:56pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3856 of 8457)

This is the last time im saying this. way pack in the park of mounds is a big hill going down. you can see a lot from there. Including a hotel called the "three pyramids"? just a guess but thats where i think the medallion is. Edit MessageDelete Message

Nathan Trivette - 07:56pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3857 of 8457)

think the code to be cracked (i.e.... mode, demo=dome) will be used on tonites clue or maybe its already surfaced in one of the others but i havent found anything in the previous ones resembling that.... Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - We agree. We think we're missing something in the clues - at this point they are still pretty general. What about "immeasurable riches"? Anything in that? Edit MessageDelete Message

tomski - 08:18pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3884 of 8457)

kthc: are you out there? Edit MessageDelete Message

Patrick Budion - 08:19pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3885 of 8457)

Immeasurable: could be the views from the bluff, you don't really know how far away things are. Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - 08:19pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3886 of 8457)

I'm leaning towards Cherokee now..the three pyramids and the double division..and Baker Street. But my intuition says Mounds. And that might not be very good to rely on. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 08:19pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3887 of 8457)

Patrick - have you been out to CP today? We were there last night/early this morning. Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - 08:22pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3890 of 8457)

Years ago they had a clue referring to the county line...very similar to this year's clue. Edit MessageDelete Message

Nathan Trivette - 08:22pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3891 of 8457)

PEOPLE PEOPLE!!!!! THE ROSEBUD LINE MAY REFER TO A GIANT MANSION, WHICH ALSO EXPLAINS THE IMMEASUREABLE RICHES.... AND SEE MY THEORY ON THE CODE CRACKING ON THE PREVIOUS PAGES..... Edit MessageDelete Message

Joy street runs into water street below the bluff. Edit MessageDelete Message

Patrick Budion - 08:29pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3897 of 8457)

At some point they will have to use signs like "no golfing", no parking this side of street" or some other recognizable very local landmark. Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - 08:29pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3898 of 8457)

My double division at Mounds is this: Mounds Street and Mounds Blvd divides up at Earl...the same point where the RR tracks divide up. Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - 08:31pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3902 of 8457)

Okay..Joe...any thoughts on almost immeasurable...I'm open to anything new. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 08:32pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3903 of 8457)

Patrick - don't know how they will hone in on the site, but you're right, they will have to give some sort of specific location. When we were there, we tried to pick places that they could describe - at the end of Winona street in the park, between two clumps of trees, by a split tree, on a straight line with the large object in view and the pyramids. Don't know. All I can think is that it is really packed beneath the ice and snow. I wish I knew how far in advance they hide the thing. Edit MessageDelete Message

Patrick Budion - 08:32pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3904 of 8457)

Good point Josh, could be the difference between 3,000 and 4,000 dollars depending on if someone is registered. Edit MessageDelete Message

Joy and water below the bluff from Cher. Water goes past Harriet Island, but I consider that out. Edit MessageDelete Message
