Alright, I am only going to give you all this one important thought for the "pyramids" clue. Those "pyramids" are three pine trees with short stumps. The pine tree forms a triangular shape, thus like a pyramid. The stumps of the pine trees makes those pyramids rise over the snow. So, I suggest you all look in the spot where three pine trees are. Imagine a line connecting those pine trees together, then search in the middle. Oh, and remember from clue 5, those lines are "immeasurable". Good Luck!! Edit MessageDelete Message

B.J. Mack - 12:29pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3295 of 8457)

I can't believe there are people still trying to make this fit Mounds Park...or Beaver Lake, or Highland, or Swede Hollow.

This has got to be the latest (in recent memory) that so many people were still at so many different parks. Last year they spelled out Como in clue three. Of course, that's a larger park than this year's.

Hope it hasn't been found yet! See you at the lucky pyramid. Edit MessageDelete Message

We don't know where it could be at Cherokee, but are 99% sure it is there. It was hard digging last night, as alot of the snow was packed down from city trucks that were in there Friday night trimming trees. One of those trucks could've run it over and really buried it. Edit MessageDelete Message

I think the city streets from one of the previous clues could be Wyoming & Winona both cities in Minn. Edit MessageDelete Message

Stephen E. Maas - 12:57pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3316 of 8457)

Hello All,

I just returned from Cherokee Park, There are about 100-150 people there, with many coming and going. Three square buildings in a row, all with pyramid shaped roofs seem to fit the latest clue perfectly. The NSP smoke stack is plainly visible, no plume of smoke today though. Winona is just one of the "city streets" that lead to the park. There is a play ground and a large rock sure looks like a large object to me. If you want an area with scenery and are looking for high ground, I'd head to Cherokee. The city did tree trimming there the other day, and the warm weather yesterday didn't help much. Digging is a lot of work, make sure you take metal shovels or rakes if you go. Best luck to all. Stephen E. Maas (SEMAAS@stthomas.edu) Edit MessageDelete Message

Everyone it is so obvious that the medallion at Ivy. Everyone is there enyway. Dr. Livingston - Alan and Jill - C. Fox and Marty. I guess they all met at Cherekee, couldnt find it, so they all went to Ivy and have a pretty good Idea where it is. Its at Ivy PEOPLE! Edit MessageDelete Message

ivyparkistheone - 01:15pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3322 of 8457)

Half of Ivy park is in Mendota Heights and the other is in St. Paul. Get it - thats the double division. You must be a rock head not to figure that one out. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 01:30pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3330 of 8457)

ivy - Okay I see the division of Ivy Park being half in MH and half in St. Paul. But the clue says LINE of double division. Is there actually something that can be considered a line - say as in a street or something? Annapolis is the Line of double division at cherokee. Edit MessageDelete Message

ivyparkistheone - 01:30pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3331 of 8457)

ivyparkistheone - 01:37pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3340 of 8457)

The park lines were redrawn this year and your map is probebly outdated. This was a big issue for the Mendota Hgts. and St. Paul area. It caused a ruckus. Edit MessageDelete Message

Clare - 01:37pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3341 of 8457)

You gotta be kidding! It actually says "Rosebud" playground surfacing equipment on it! Damn! You know its at Ivy then. Edit MessageDelete Message

Ivy? You must be kidding. Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 01:44pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3348 of 8457)

I've been over a few spots at Cherokee more than once. Everything points me to a certain spot. The snow this year is going to make this difficult. I think you're going to have to be standing on it, twist your ankle, and wonder what the heck you just stepped on that hurt so bad, sit down, take your boot off, have lunch, pick up the lunch wrappers, and wonder what that extra 'dole' can is in your garbage. Then, you might find it... Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 01:45pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3349 of 8457)

I used to live on Cherokee, just south of Annapolis. I cannot picture a place in Ivy that's actually in Ramsey county. Edit MessageDelete Message

If only I could be so lucky...I think I would sacrafice my ankle so I can retire from this damn hunt. I am sure there are many folks that feel the same. Just a side note to us diehards...here in madison they have a treasure hunt too...but it has no attention or outpouring of participation as our dear medallion does. It's much like a copycat but not as creative! Edit MessageDelete Message

Thats what is sooo creative about this hunt...we cant even find it on a map...earlier someone told me the lines were just redrawn so the cities now share the park (mendota and st paul) I am guessing the park boardering sylvandale rd and park drive is where Ivy is???? Edit MessageDelete Message

Lillydale has three large pyramid shaped buildings in a line, right in the center of the park. Like I said, it's right on Baker Street, and it's near the line that divides Dakota and Ramsey counties, as well as two cities. Edit MessageDelete Message

thetreasurehunterformerlyknownasitsinmypocket - 02:08pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3378 of 8457)

Two Sisters - 02:12pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3386 of 8457)

ivy- your explanation of the clues could point to any regional park in St. Paul. I highly doubt that the playground equipment says "Rosebud" on it and if it does, than I would imagine several other play systems at other parks would as well. Besides, way to miniscule. Any chance you live across the street from Ivy Park? Edit MessageDelete Message

Could someone tell me if there are three pine trees at IVY park that might form a triangle with immeasurable imaginary lines. I think the three pine trees could be the pyramids, because of the triangle shape. The stumps of the pine trees is what makes the "pyramids" rise above the snow. Just like what Clue 8 said. Hmmm, a quick recall of Ms. Perry's geometry class reminds me that pine trees are CONES, not PYRAMIDS...

Those three pyramid shaped rooftops at Cherokee are just too perfect. Edit MessageDelete Message

Refering back to that double division. Picture a picnic table from a birds eye view. You have the big rectangle as the table and the 2 smaller same size rectangles for the seats. Now on paper, to me that looks like double division. Seeing as we didn't get much snow early this year, maybe its hidden under a picnic table. Edit MessageDelete Message

All the clues that are givin so far do is point you to the right park. So far they have marked off the West end of C.P. with Anapolis Street, They marked the East end with the Pyrimidial building, the rose bush out there is inbetween both along with the sledding area, if you ask me it is taped or glued inside of an artificial rose somewhere in the open land between the playground equipment, and the sledding area; Yup, the hardest compacted snow to isn't it. Is there a race that is run near cherokee park every year? Like a marathon or 5K, that has the start/finish line at cherokee. Edit MessageDelete Message

master j p - 03:39pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3526 of 8457)

it's in Casey Park because there are 3 pyramid looking playgrounds and there is a rosebud st. right there plus rose bushes. Plus there is also a dome out there that not too many people know about. And the "lots of dough", part in clue #7, there is a dough factory right by there. check it out! Edit MessageDelete Message

In clue #4 the last line is "As you hunt for the mother lode" That spelling of lode is defined as an ore deposite or something of the sort. Edit MessageDelete Message

Matthew Hill - 03:41pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3528 of 8457)

Shell-Head - 03:45pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3531 of 8457)

If those rocks are ore than we know were to look. I don't think it's the rock by the hill though. Because you can't see the pyramids from the hill. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 03:45pm Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3532 of 8457)

"lode" was used in a clue for 1996 when it was hidden at Harriet Island and it didn't refer to anything in particular. That is what makes us think it's not that significant. Edit MessageDelete Message
