For the last time...
Annapolis Street, which borders Cherokee Park, is the "division" between St. Paul and West St. Paul/Mendota Heights/Lilydale. It is also the "division" between Ramsey County and Dakota County. Hence the "double division."
This is a very easily interpreted clue. Those trying to say that a street that runs through Mounds Park twice is a better "double division" are stretching to make the clue fit their park.
The border of the park is the city and county line "division." That's about as basic as it gets.

We just got back from Cherokee - lots of people there. Probably about a hundred or 125. Drove through Mounds just for fun. Probably only 25. Not that numbers count but it would appear Cherokee has more votes.

Just back from Cherokee. I agree that all Mound diggers should hang in there. That park hasn't made sense for a couple of clues, but we all appreciate your fortitude! Hang in there and keep digging. since i was a little one . Remember reading the dictonary for mom and friend. Going with and getting the paper from the corner paper guy riding the loop before it was called the loop. Back when there were 2 clues a day. Those were the days. Then you had something to keep you going. Now if the clue is well you know ..... you sort of lose interest just because you can't figure out where to put your shovel. Just got back from Mounds & Cherokee. There was plenty of action at both places, but the Mounds faction got tired awfully quick. At Cherokee, there were plenty of folks digging around the bathroom pyramids. Our little group was trying to find how the other clues related though... we're stuck on "mode"/"demo" = "dome." That's unknown, just like when do they hid the thing. I think it's right when a good snow fall comes. They have to be watching the parks year after year and find a spot that's not disturbed and where snow would gather to keep it hidden. Do you think there ar two sets of clues? The cathedral can be seen from parts of cherokee. Just a musing... there are 2 shelters and one has two more rounded domes, the bathroom has three very angular pyramids. Near Chippewa, towards the south end, you can line up the NSP stack, the bathroom pyramids and the shelter with 2 domes. We dug around there some. Perhaps better luck tomorrow.

Marie: you might want to check out Cherokee if you haven't already. The double division at Cher could mean either that it is on a street; annapolis that devides two cities and also divides two counties or at the corner of annapolis and cherokee hights blvd the sign says two different cities mendota and lillydale so it divides st. paul from two different cities. From a hunt Veteran: the first week clues only get you to the right park, not to a specific area of the park. 3 years ago at Battle creek the medallion was found what the hunt comitte thought was way too early and that was on the first Saturday.
