hi dick heads I think you all need to get a clue, and start searching in an area that is well to do. later Edit MessageDelete Message

ATTENTION MEDALLION SEARCHERS....

Mounders! Stay where you are! We don't need any more people looking next to the park building with three pyramids on top of it at Cherokee Park.

The "double division" should have nailed it down for you. But if you're still at Mounds, you may as well stay there. Edit MessageDelete Message

Allie Go - 01:49am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3031 of 8457)

I think it's probably Cherokee because the three bathrooms have pyramids on top...but there are bones in the mounds at Mounds. But I'm still thinking it's Cherokee. Edit MessageDelete Message

It is at Cherokee. I have been there three days in a row. I just returned. Everything fits. About 100 people give or take a few. I will return in the morning. Alot of ground to cover. Edit MessageDelete Message

Cherokee is good. Pretty dug up, but the right place always is. Just got to get out there and stumble onto it.

I REPEAT, MOUNDERS STAY ON THE EAST SIDE...those of us on the West Side want the medallion for ourselves. Edit MessageDelete Message

mr fee, why are you here? Edit MessageDelete Message

B.J. Mack - 01:55am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3042 of 8457)

For the last time...

Annapolis Street, which borders Cherokee Park, is the "division" between St. Paul and West St. Paul/Mendota Heights/Lilydale. It is also the "division" between Ramsey County and Dakota County. Hence the "double division."

This is a very easily interpreted clue. Those trying to say that a street that runs through Mounds Park twice is a better "double division" are stretching to make the clue fit their park.

The border of the park is the city and county line "division." That's about as basic as it gets.

See you all out there in the morning. Good night. Edit MessageDelete Message

We just got back from Cherokee - lots of people there. Probably about a hundred or 125. Drove through Mounds just for fun. Probably only 25. Not that numbers count but it would appear Cherokee has more votes. Three pyramids at C as roofs for picnic shelters and three as roofs for the bathrooms. Edit MessageDelete Message

Just back from Cherokee. I agree that all Mound diggers should hang in there. That park hasn't made sense for a couple of clues, but we all appreciate your fortitude! Hang in there and keep digging. Maybe the medallion will sense your pain and transmogrify itself to a spot beneath your spade. And remember to keep that ultimate goal the Frog Pond ever in mind! Good Luck. Mr Fee Rosebud is a sled in the movie Citizen Kane. It means look for a sledding area (like at Cherokee). It may also be a clue to the container. Remember, this is not a chat room (though it is great for chatting, I agree). You can page back through the messages and get answers to almost anything you need answered. Sleep well everyone out there. Edit MessageDelete Message

since i was a little one . Remember reading the dictonary for mom and friend. Going with and getting the paper from the corner paper guy riding the loop before it was called the loop. Back when there were 2 clues a day. Those were the days. Then you had something to keep you going. Now if the clue is well you know ..... you sort of lose interest just because you can't figure out where to put your shovel. Well at least today we got to make some great snowpeople at the bottom of Mounds. Edit MessageDelete Message

Just got back from Mounds & Cherokee. There was plenty of action at both places, but the Mounds faction got tired awfully quick. At Cherokee, there were plenty of folks digging around the bathroom pyramids. Our little group was trying to find how the other clues related though... we're stuck on "mode"/"demo" = "dome." The Cathedral lights were off. Can you see it clearly during the day from there? Edit MessageDelete Message

Cheryl Straight - 02:49am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3098 of 8457)

Got back from Cherokee a while ago. Looks like a war zone. 2 West side officers were there for a while.....one said he "knew" it was at Cherokee?

Green or Black Widow are either of you still on? Green, how was the show today? Edit MessageDelete Message

KRasmussen - 02:50am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3099 of 8457)

That's unknown, just like when do they hid the thing. I think it's right when a good snow fall comes. They have to be watching the parks year after year and find a spot that's not disturbed and where snow would gather to keep it hidden. Do you think there ar two sets of clues? In case people are getting to close they throw a looper in to drive you off track? Edit MessageDelete Message

Cheryl Straight - 02:54am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3100 of 8457)

The cathedral can be seen from parts of cherokee. Just a musing... there are 2 shelters and one has two more rounded domes, the bathroom has three very angular pyramids. Near Chippewa, towards the south end, you can line up the NSP stack, the bathroom pyramids and the shelter with 2 domes. We dug around there some. Perhaps better luck tomorrow.

Also, someone earlier asked about Landmark. You can see the Landmark stack also from cherokee plain as day. When they had the neon sign lit we could see it from our house a block back from the park..... Edit MessageDelete Message

ABETRED: I'm going NUTS with this thang!!! The people who said they have it, well, to bad they can't prove it! I have not tried Cherokee Park, but was at Highland tonite. Anyone think it might be there? What's another clue for the pyramids besides bathrooms? I'm also still stuck with that Double division thing! Help, I'm hooked & I can't give up! Edit MessageDelete Message

I thought it was at Highland until the double division clue which made it clear to me that it is at Cherokee and I'm still convinced it is at Cher after seeing the pyramid clue. Edit MessageDelete Message

Axel - 06:20am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3138 of 8457)

Marie: you might want to check out Cherokee if you haven't already. The double division at Cher could mean either that it is on a street; annapolis that devides two cities and also divides two counties or at the corner of annapolis and cherokee hights blvd the sign says two different cities mendota and lillydale so it divides st. paul from two different cities. Hope that helps you some. Edit MessageDelete Message

Cheryl.... Hi! It's there, but not in snow, I'm thinking. Will still be at the cat show today. Had hoped to get on here this am and see that you'd found the Med. :( Will get back on sometime tonite, but don't know when. I'm sure it will have been discovered by then. Best of luck!!!! E-mail me with your name, etc. and I'll get in touch w/you later... Maybe next year you and I'll leave Hubs at home with the dog and we'll go Med Hunting!!! Edit MessageDelete Message

BW: Morning! Got to bed at 5:00 a.m. Sat. (Just missed Cheryl getting back on by a whisker!) The cats had me up at 7:45!!!!!!! Drug my VERY weary arse down to Civic Center... Show going well! Bugged the good ossifers of St. Paul constantly, "Officer, have you HEARD???? Did they find the Medallion?????" Nobody knew... !!! Will run by CP on way to show today.

Side Line: At The Saintly City's Cat Club Annual Winter Carninval Show today, The Royalty will show up at +/- 3:00 p.m. to crown and cape (anagram of "pace"!!! SHEESH!!!!! I'm NEVER looking for the Med again!!!) the Best Male and Female Household Pets!!! It's really a big thing - pretty cute, too!!! If you're tired of tearing up CP, stop by the show and enjoy a little of the indoor sports. I'll be in a dark forest green t-shirt that says, "Love From The Twin Kitties" on it.

A clue just hit me!! LOL!!! "We'd be the first to say that a place to play can make any winter more pleasureable." Civic Center!!!!! Where have we all been folks??? LOL!!! This also ties in w/"With this in view you'll soon be back," as the new hockey team will be homed there!!!! Please note I did mention previously "back/CC" but I never had gotten the connection of "place to play can make any winter more pleasureable."

Ta-ta for now!!! Edit MessageDelete Message

Pat: Go back to about 11:00 p.m. - 3:00 a.m. Friday/Saturday. You're reading too much into my notes. I've known it was at Cherokee since Friday afternoon!!! The majority of ideas you're pursing were originally mine, combined with about only five other people.

The Medallion IS NOT, IS NOT IS *NOT* at the Civic Center. But the clues do reference CC... and I'm just so punchy from looking for the Med, that I couldn't help but notice that "cape" is the anagram for race.

You're 100% correctamundo. It's at Cherokee, and no place else.

Keast - 11:15am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3251 of 8457)

Grants the same guy who put the false message in. He only knows how to use caps and he can't spell. Not Heard mentality.

And to all you who think there is a lot of people out there. wake up. Where have you been the last few years. That little medallion can be hidden anywhere in Cherokee Park right now. Thats a lot of snow to move. Edit MessageDelete Message

J - 11:19am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3255 of 8457)

I agree with you Keast, a lot of snow to be moved yet, and so little people so far. They my still move around in the park yet with new glues. Edit MessageDelete Message

MedallionHuntMAN - 11:22am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3257 of 8457)

Its At CHEROKEE PARK! Not MOUNDS Edit MessageDelete Message

Keast - 11:23am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3258 of 8457)

From a hunt Veteran: the first week clues only get you to the right park, not to a specific area of the park. 3 years ago at Battle creek the medallion was found what the hunt comitte thought was way too early and that was on the first Saturday. This thing generally goes to Tuesday-Wednesday. You just have to be able to see everything in the clues not be close to them. Edit MessageDelete Message

Medal Maniac - 11:28am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3262 of 8457)

hey grant, what's this about your park? Edit MessageDelete Message

MedallionHuntMAN - 11:28am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3263 of 8457)

Grant CP is not your park this is an open treasure hunt!!! OPEN!! Edit MessageDelete Message

Keast - 11:30am Feb 1, 1998 CST (#3264 of 8457)

Grant, Understandable. But look at it this way. even if you were the only person to be smart enough to figure out the right park, your odds of finding it are really small. You couldn't dig up all the snow in the alloted time to find it. And if you were the only person out there it sure wouldn't be any fun. Part of the fun is knowing you talked to the people who found it, or sharing some really stupid ideas. Edit MessageDelete Message
