What happened to Dr. Livingston? He must live by Cherokee park on Livingston street. Hence why he's pushing us to a small park. Wonder if he'll be at CP tonight. Edit MessageDelete Message

New Daddy- Here I am Eastside Boys. I was out today and there were about 50 people at Beaver Lake. I'm sure it's at the Beav. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 08:55pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2507 of 8457)

New Daddy, Eastside boys - It's not at Beaver Lake! Can't be. Too small. Besides, Rosewood estates is waaaaaaay stretching it. Edit MessageDelete Message

Mchenry Larsen - 08:56pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2508 of 8457)

Lets get this rosebud outa the way..in" with capital R it is a proper name..I.E> Citezen Caines sled when he was a boy..I say Mounds or CS...now Stretched the double division many ways I need another clue Edit MessageDelete Message

Eastside Boys - 08:57pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2509 of 8457)

Two Sisters- Rosewood Estates has nothing to do with it! Rose St runs into Beaver Lake at Edgewater. And a small St between McKnight and Stillwater is Bud St! Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 08:57pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2510 of 8457)

ya know, i spent some time at cherokee today, that's where i think it is... but nevertheless, i was thinkig about rosebud, from the movie citizen kane... and that movie was all about a newspaperman... and the pioneer press is just down the hill from mounds... makes me think twice about mounds Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 08:57pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2511 of 8457)

Jess - The women who found it at Battle Creek spelled out the first letters of each clue B-A-T-T-L-E. That's pretty obvious. Then its just pure luck. Nobody knows where that thing is (well, except the person who hid it). And if they did, would they risk their job telling someone? Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters You should have seen the site with six clues in your hand. IMPOSSIBLE! Edit MessageDelete Message

If you would like to see all the clues fit together go to search and put in Eastside Boys and choose my first posting and you'll become a Beaver Lake fan soon! Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:01pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2515 of 8457)

Eastside boys - Bud street is not even on the map. It's not there. Perhaps you want it to be there because your from the Eastside. Don't know. If it's at Beaver, we'll eat the paper with your picture's in it. Edit MessageDelete Message

Eastside boys - already read your first posting. But I think you are reading too much into it. Why is the blvd. a double division? A division maybe, but why double?

Mother Boserud - the pioneer press building isn't just down the hill from Mounds. Edit MessageDelete Message

Can't be Beaver. You're making the park fit the clues rather than the clues fit the park. Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 09:35pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2561 of 8457)

demo and mode and all that means what the thing is hidden in. Like a CD case or tape case. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:35pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2562 of 8457)

AirBourne - we think crack the code means to unscramble demo and mode for dome and dome. But not sure what it means. You can see the Cathedral dome from Cherokee park. Also, in the far distance you can see two big dome-like water towers. Maybe you can see these from where the medallion actually is, although this is just one sister's opinion. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:36pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2563 of 8457)

The last time it was at Cherokee, one of the clues referred to the Cathedral dome. Edit MessageDelete Message

kgb - 09:37pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2564 of 8457)

sister sister i think the focus is downtown also if you don't blow your stack and go see the stack(from cp) you'll soon be back(to cherokee) something tells me it's between the hospital and the playground at i love my mounds Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:37pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2565 of 8457)

you can see the capital dome from cherokee too, but only in a few places... same with the blue domes to the east which are the highland water towers Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:38pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2566 of 8457)

Boserud - have him check out siberianwomen.com I've seen this website advertised before and told a single male friend of mine to check it out. Apparently they want to come to the states real bad. Back to the Medallion - are you going back to Mounds or are you waiting for the next clue? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:38pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2567 of 8457)

why was dome park on division st. at the st. paul/maplewood border ruled out? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:41pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2568 of 8457)

the first place i looked was the part of cherokee right near the high bridge... there is that set of binoculars (large object "in view", and also "zoom") plus the other stack, water, view, track references fit. anyone else try that spot? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:42pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2569 of 8457)

everyone must be out at beaver lake :) Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:42pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2570 of 8457)

mother verbea - dome park (actually, Goodrich) is in maplewood, not St. Paul. Larpenteur is the border, not N. St. Paul Road. Besides, this park is too small - just like Beaver. And, there are not smoke stacks. Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:42pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2571 of 8457)

should call my son Edit MessageDelete Message

Cheryl Straight - 09:43pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2572 of 8457)

Heard some others asking about the binocs earlier today. Don't know if they actually checked there.. Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 09:44pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2573 of 8457)

We were on the East side of the park by the division and city streets Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:44pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2574 of 8457)

in my street guide (hudson's) beaver lake pk. looks about the size of cherokee Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:44pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2575 of 8457)

mother verbea - don't know where these binoculars are, but we think this is definitely a good idea. Are they on the same end of the park as the play area and Anapolis? This is where we think it is. Edit MessageDelete Message

Cheryl Straight - 09:47pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2576 of 8457)

The binocs are by the High bridge..opposite end of the park from sled hill and Annapolis and on the other side of Smith Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 09:47pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2577 of 8457)

Okay, so if you believe that the demo/mode thing describes what it's hidden in, then what's Rosebud? Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 09:49pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2578 of 8457)

"Rosebud" is a brand name of a sled. Edit MessageDelete Message

kgb - 09:49pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2579 of 8457)

casey r u out there? Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:50pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2580 of 8457)

AirBourn - have you been airborne? Everyone seems to think Rosebud is a sled from the movie Citizen Kane, hence referring to the sledding hill. I'm not completely sold on this idea, but my sister is and so seems to be the majority. Edit MessageDelete Message

Phil Peterson - 09:51pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2581 of 8457)

sister sister the binocs are on the east side of smith right off the high bridge if you take a left on cherokee instead of right. so to answer the question its at the opposite ned of annapolis and plaground etc. etc. Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 09:51pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2582 of 8457)

Heh - I don't thingk it's a brand name of a sled. Maybe a little brush-up on your literature....

What are you people thinking about 'lode'? It's obviously mis-spelled for a reason, right? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 09:51pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2583 of 8457)

rosebud is from the movie citizen kane which is about a newspaper tycoon, and the pioneer press factory (actually the lighted PIONEER PRESS) is visible from mounds. albeit the pp is a sorry excuse for a newspaper. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:51pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2584 of 8457)

We're signing off for now. See you at Cherokee at 11:30, unless your at Beaver. Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 09:52pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2585 of 8457)

It's both. My Hubby saw that movie and said the same thing. Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 09:52pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2586 of 8457)

Sisters - read again, it wasn't me that mentioned 'brand name'.... Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 09:54pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2587 of 8457)

"Lode" according to Websters means a mineral vein, like silver or gold. Edit MessageDelete Message

Two Sisters - 09:54pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2588 of 8457)

Airbourne - we know, but you asked what Rosebud was. Everyone seems to think the sled. Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 09:57pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2589 of 8457)

Gotcha, Sisters. I meant that, because some people were saying that 'Rosebud' could be some sort of pasta container that it's hidden in, then what's code/mode/lode? Or, if the code/demo thing means that it's in a CD case, then "Rosebud" must be the newspaper man's sled, right? Edit MessageDelete Message

David Hunter - 09:58pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2590 of 8457)

What does double-division mean?? Edit MessageDelete Message

shooting star - 10:00pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2591 of 8457)

Hey, What part of St. Paul is Beaver Lake on? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 10:01pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2592 of 8457)

there are 32 words in the first clue... divide by 2 once = 16, divide by 2 abain = 8... that is the double division... does anybody know what 8 might refer to at cherokee or mounds? Edit MessageDelete Message

AirBourn - 10:01pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2593 of 8457)

Well, I was thinking that a line of double division is Annapolis. It divides both st paul/wsp and Ramsey/Dakota cty. Edit MessageDelete Message

B.J. Mack - 10:44pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2649 of 8457)

Is everybody getting ready for the clue?!?

Let's have a poll. Just post which park you really think the medallion is in.

Here's some FAQs: --What is "Rosebud"? "Rosebud" is the sled from the classic film "Citizen Kane." Since the third clue often reveals what the medallion is hidden in, some believe it will be something related to rosebud. Also could be implying that it's hidden near a sledding hill. --What is the "double division"? Annapolis Street divides St. Paul from Mendota Heights/Lilydale/West St. Paul and Ramsey County from Dakota County. Unless, of course, you're trying to make the clues fit Mounds Park, in which case it's a street that divides Mounds Park twice.

Any other common answers to common questions? Edit MessageDelete Message

mother dole - 10:44pm Jan 31, 1998 CST (#2650 of 8457)

rosebud is from the movie citizen kane which is about a newspaper tycoon, and the pioneer press factory (actually the lighted PIONEER PRESS) is visible from mounds. albeit the pp is a sorry excuse for a newspaper. Edit MessageDelete Message

VOTE TOTAL:

--Cherokee: many, around a dozen --Beaver Lake: 1.5 --Mounds: 1 (any others?)
